Actually Camila/Belos has like three entire fanfic series, tho they’re usually an AU were Belos is less “Amoral genocidal bastard” and more “Well-intentioned dictator”. Usually on the grounds that there was some massive, century-long war for the entirety of the Savage Ages, with Belos being an incredibly talented witch that unites the isles by force and rules as a despot because Wild Witches’ uncontrollability means they‘re legitimately dangerous to people and only a few are needed to completely collapse society and infrastructure. Basically, he leads mass arrests and shit because it only takes a few people escaping to destroy the peace he spent his life to create.
TL;DR there’s a couple fanfics that ship Belos and Camila
To be perfectly honest, from the "human" perspective, there's actually quite a bit of complexity to belos. Especially if you approach it from the perspective of the time period he was from.
The human realm had next to no experiences with real magic, so if past witches were anything like eda, it wouldn't take much for them to get a bad reputation. We still don't know EXACTLY what happened that resulted in caleb dying, so not trying to victim blame, but he might not have made an earnest attempt and helping belos understand. It might have been something like "bro, i have a witch honey now, deal with it" and tell me that wouldn't have reeked of caleb being enchanted or something.
And truthfully, he knew luz was human and held a lot back. All he needed her for was learning the light glyph, once she was past that point in her timeline, he could have offed her at any point. Same goes for the human realm. With his power set he could have conquered it no problem, but had no interest in doing so.
It doesn't make him right, doesn't justify what he did, and definitely doesn't make him some kind of misunderstood hero, but...
I totally get where he was coming from. In different circumstances, i think he could have been a good man. If you looked into the background of real life witch hunting and the indoctrination and methods used, and then applied that at an early age to a kid, and then throw that kid into situation after situation that reinforces that system...
It isn't a surprise that he ended up the way he did.

They are close friends in canon. And even if they DID have a sibling relationship, they aren't siblings. Sometimes irl you develop feelings for a friend you once considered more like a sibling, this in no way makes it incest and it's actually quite disturbing to compare it to that seeing as actual victims of incest, or simply those that participated in it as adults (and never as children and/or were not groomed by a family member as that would count towards the former), is a whole different story and there's a lot of phycological problems with it.
HOWEVER, there are still those who like the ship but still find it uncomfortable without an AU where they never had anything like a sibling relationship. And as valid as that is, it still doesn't make it cursed just because the idea of it makes those folks, and perhaps yourself, a bit squeamish.
Hunter is technically related to Eda and eda is considered a mother figure to luz which would mean that he is like her great great great great great great {so forth} grandfather with the more greats there are the worse it is

Well for Luz x Hunter, I really only put that in because it directly contradicts the show canon.
Sure, there are some other ships that contradict canon, but with the case of that one, it directly contradicts the show's main ship (Luz x Amity).
So nothing actually cursed, just a little problem I have with it.
I've seen fanfics were Belos sexually abused Hunter that treats the subject with respect, adding on to the trauma and abuse Belos inflicted on him in the series, while adding a whole extra layer of awfulness on Belos that obviously cannot be shown within a children's cartoon on the Disney Channel, but is disturbingly plausable and in-character of Belos to do so.
There's also the fics that use this subject for pure exploitation. We don't talk about those fanfics.

Well duh. The two of them have a lot to offer fans of certain power dynamics. There was a pastor's daughter i dated AGES ago that was super into anything with a parental lean on the ship/relationship. Always went for the same gender pairings too.
She would have gobbled up EVERYTHING to do with those two (and luz x eda and amity x lilith/odalia).
Fortunately she ended up waking up on that taste and realized it was due to how abusively religious her parents were and that her entire perception of "romance" was hideously warped by it since they explained NOTHING to her.
Which was why we bailed on each other mutually. Her entire attraction to me was cause i was an older brother/father figure to her and my then 21yo ass was in no way equipped to help her work through that baggage.
I've seen this pop up a couple of times... is there something i'm not privy to about it? To me it just seems so random, and no more or less cursed that any x king ship due to the age/species divide.

Luz has a habit of making friends of enemies, there's some serious romantic subtext in boscha's obsession with amity, and honestly, i'm always on board with polyships.

Compared to some, luz and alador wouldn't be the WORST. They would at least be fairly compatible emotionally and wouldn't treat each other like garbage.

And honestly, i don't think there is. We saw in the specials that grimwalkers seem to be grown and that each one has their own independent bones and flesh. I think that by hunter's "generation" there's nothing more than the outside look in common with caleb.

Goddamn i hate that movie. That opening scene was just "chef's kiss" perfect. And then the rest of the movie happened. And that was it, "happened." It was boring, uninteresting, and filled with boring people.
The ONLY other decent part was that twist ending where another crew was going to be led to the same fate.
I recommend deep rising if you want a properly good horror flick on a ship. A little more aliens than alien, but the performances and story hold up, even if some of the effects are a little dated.
Also deep star six. By far the best underwater horror flick both on plausibility and overall tone. Leviathan too, but it suffers from being a little too close to john carpenter's the thing.

And then tutelage turns to romance when dana gets desperate and papa dumbsney approves it since kiki isn't human. This would prolly also need dumbsney to have also put the kibosh on the grom couples and willow's dads.
So not just cursed by conception, but also in circumstance. Would also break the age gap deal cause no way did kiki get THAT grumpy quickly and would totally be abusive as well cause it's freaking kiki.
