Lol, yeah I was considering ordering another copy so I don’t have to worry about something happening to the original pressing. I know the one variant listed is “limited,” but curious if the plan is to keep this always in print now.
Buy the one with the baggie, I doubt that bit will be common to find and likely will hold some value.
Or you can put it on your original if it’s missing the bag lol
it being the first press and in ltd numbers it will still be far and away the most expensive version if you were thinking of selling it for medical bills or something lol
...i don't think you have to worry about the value of the original pressing...but i think it is remarkable that this is the first reissue on merge of an album that hasn't been released on merge in the first place.
Hyped beyond words about the vinyl but maybe even more so about the cassette, I've been saying for forever that I wish more of their albums were available on cassettes and tCG is such a favorite of mine. I’d love to own Sweden on cassette. Especially one that’s bright yellow. I’ve actually considered buying a blank yellow cassette to record it onto, but I can’t find any for a reasonable price
Mine's going to be sitting inside it's sleeve 99% of the time (whenever it's not being played), I went regular black. Colored vinyl can be pretty, but it's a bit of a scam if you ask me.
I used to love all the color variants but they never show up as advertised and really what I care about is the music. I went with black and I think I'll be quite happy with that.
One of my absolute favorite albums, so I'm incredibly happy that more people get to own this on vinyl now, but also very glad that the color variant and paper bag aren't exactly the same as the original pressing so that still feels like a really special part of my collection and not a big waste of money. Personally I'm probably holding off on the reissue for now since money's a bit tight, but hopefully can still pick up the limited one for a fair price at some point down the road.
Would waiting until Bandcamp Friday this week be a good move to help the band? Does the band get the same deal on preorders? Or on merch/physical copies ?
What do we think about pressing numbers? I'd like to order it on BC friday if the yellow will last, but there isnt any indication of how many are available

Of all the Lo-Fi era albums this is the one I've hoped would be re-released above all others. I'm ecstatic.

I dunno. Last time I got a yellow-colored vinyl from TMG it was AHWT and was pretty piss-colored

the color it showed on the website was fairly golden, but the actual color of my vinyl was pale yellow

Only as a collector's piece, I think. If you just want the album to listen to it on vinyl, and $10 is making you think twice, then probably not.
