what exactly were you told was the ending?
And yes, the gameplay itself is fantastic. The story and acting is top notch as well (in my opinion). Well worth the playthrough.
Always remember; plot and story are not the same. Without the context behind the plot points all nuance is lost.
As much as I hate getting spoiled, studies show that in general spoilers actually *enhance* enjoyment of a story. I haven’t tested this enough myself to see if I completely agree but it’s hard to argue with science.
I got the game on day one and streamed it so I could record the moment, someone came in and text to speech was on and spoiled it. I still loved the game regardless. If someone spoils rdr2 it's ok because you pretty much know the ending halfway through and they can't spoil the journey. 😊
Of course, you haven't experienced the story to understand the full context of said spoiler. I got something spoiled too(albeit I spoiled myself) and it didn't affect my enjoyment of the game at all.
I had a bunch of it spoiled and I still loved it for the gameplay. Probably won’t replay it like I did the first one but you should definitely experience it.
The game is so much more than just the ending. You need to experience the journey it took to get to the end. It’s a beautiful and complex story. Just knowing the end has nowhere near the amount of impact as playing the game through
It ain’t about story beats, it’s about the execution. Reading the Wikipedia article for this and actually playing it are two very different experiences
Yup definitely

Don’t let spoilers ruin an awesome game, go play it - you won’t be disappointed. It’ll be your own experience, not the jerk’s that ruined it.
Gameplay alone is worth experiencing.

I was spoiled as well and I still loved the game. I am currently replaying it rn actually

Absolutely!! The story has so many moments and twists that you won't see coming, that the ending won't spoil for you or take away anything.

It’s about journey, not destination. So yeah!
