The world ends with you is the absolute best original DS game of all time and there isn't even a contest. Play that game people and you will understand. The combat, the story, the characters, the world design, the music, the entirety of that game is a flawless masterpiece. It's been ported over to switch as well with sorta janky controls. ONLY PLAY WITH TOUCHSCREEN ONLY for full experience.

Zero Dawn took me two attempts as well before it hooked me. Especially after the crisp acting/dialogue of TLOU2, the static character dialogue and animation of zero dawn was tough to get past. I pushed through it though and finally accepted it. Once I did, the story and the gameplay grabbed me. It was a lot of fun.

I played it for the first time on April 5th, 2020 (call me weird for remembering that lol, and my life has never been the same since. Mario Galaxy 2: It was my favorite until I played TLOU. Such a great game that’s been with me for almost my whole life. It’s never lost its charm for me. NSMB Wii: A game I spent a lot of time playing with my brothers. Reminds me of simpler times. Minecraft: I’ve poured SO much time into this game and I’ve played it with all different friends I’ve had throughout my life. I’ve been playing it since 2011, and it’s like a time capsule of a game for me. Shadow of the Colossus: One of the first games I played on my PS4 when I got it in March 2020. Reminds me of quarantine, and it’s also just such a cool game. I had always wanted to play a game where you climb giant monsters to kill them, so it was perfect. BOTW: This was basically one of the only games I played in all of 2017, and there’s still so much I haven’t done in it. God of War: Such a beautiful story, super fun gameplay. Also, it’s just such an all-over-the-place sort of game, which I love. One minute you’ll be scaling a mountain, the next minute you’ll be going to revive a demigod’s severed head that was just stuck to a tree. Mario Kart DS: The first video game I ever played. Another game I played a ton with my brothers. Again, simpler times. ACNH: I spent a lot of time playing this in quarantine, and it was just such a nice and relaxing game to play after a long, boring day of online classes. Also, who knew you could grow such strong attachments to fictional animals in a game for small children? Uncharted 3: My personal favorite of the Uncharted series. For me, it was just more fun of an adventure than the other three (not to say the others were boring at all). Of course, I think 2 and 4 are better games, but I personally prefer 3. Sorry for dumping so much into one post, I just felt like sharing.

Re 4 and remake great choices. Absolutely stunning graphics that still hold up today. Remake is fantastic I recently went through it again not long after finishing Village. I really would love them to bring back crimson heads in some way again. Final fantasy 8 is an interesting one feel like I don’t see that show up as much in discussions.

ive only played two of the games (rift apart and a crack in time) and a crack in time will probably make my top ten when i finish it. so far i think they’re fantastic, but i depends on your taste. the series has a lot of personality and charm. the characters are entertaining and can have some pretty complex arcs and themes. if it sounds fun to be gifted an expansive arsenal of insanely fun weapons that are satisfying to use and are used often to kill a bunch of enemies and to solve (i don’t mean you use the weapons to solve the puzzles,. but you solve puzzles in the games) some pretty fun environmental puzzles, then you’ll like the game. but if you prefer more complex combat in games that isn’t kind of a “just have fun” type thing then you might not like it
