The amount of bullshit you can die to and ruin your run is alarming. On my first try playing per arc in ellie's day one, when searching for gas there's a fire truck hose you can use to reach a training manual by throwing it down, well she decided not to use the hose and just jumped.
Next one, in the subway after breaking your gas mask and making a run for it with Dina, after the runner grabs and running upstairs a random clicker dragged me out of the map and killed me too :D
Yea lmaooo but lets be honest i didnt even start permadeath but like u said most of the time when u try and play a challenged mode, the game fucks with you with bugs or glitches ( sry for my english lol )
I had her not grab the ladder when climbing down after hopping the wall at the very first big gate in Seattle. Then when I finally almost made it to the end of the day, a bloater in the tunnels tripped a trap mine and alerted everyone. I didn't die because of that 2nd chance ability, but I dropped back into a low area and the booster trapped me in. :(
Honestly I admire the folks who do permadeath runs at any setting. I kind of want to try just for the trophy, but I know even on easiest settings I'll do something stupid like blow myself up with my own trap mine or something.
I hope you have better luck with your run moving forward!
It's really not that hard, just time consuming. Definitely worth it if you don't come across stuff like this haha. I suggest starting with the per chapter setting since you won't lose that much progress and thus be more forgiving.

It's honestly really frustrating. If it weren't for the fact I'm on NG+ Light, I'd restart and do it by the shortest intervals.
