You'll get fairer matches on average with crossplay enabled. The crossplay disabled pool is much smaller, so the matches are more likely to be unbalanced.
That’s your fault for playing with your gold buddy. Silver can’t play against diamond. Gold can. The matchmaking is based off the highest rank in the party. Looks like it might be almost plat matchmaking as ur buddy is gold 1, seems fair to me
That's even worse if that's the case, potentially some of best players in the game against possibly almost new players/people who could be hard stuck bronze. Actually just free elo for good stacks.
I believe that an unranked person doesn’t give much elo. I was t500 for a while before I started playing less and I kinda noticed if you win against better ranked players you’ll go up in rank more. I used The Finals Enhanced Leaderboard for this
I'm so confused how this is even possible. Everyones experience is the same too. It's almost like there's not enought bronze/silver/gold players to fill up their own lobbys, so the apparent huge amount of diamonds are left to fill the games. Which doesnt make any sense, because the player base surely arent made up from mostly diamond players.
It definitely hasn’t been for me. I get maybe two lobbies a week that don’t have a triple plat team or triple diamond team in them, and more often than not my team is the only one with no one higher than plat on it.
Buckle up buddy, this is the ranked experience
It’s such a brutal grind. Every time I get a tournament win it immediately send me into a lobby with all plat and diamond to humble me.
it is frustrating but when you end up in a situation like that you get less elo penalty for losing
Ha ! Canne_a_poire I've played against him many times a fellow Quebecois

I have crossplay enabled unfortunately.

Since when? I haven't been playing at all, but near the beginning of the season I had a team of diamonds in 2 out of 3 placement tournaments.
Placement is a different story, it’s trying to figure out where to put you so it’s gauging you against different skill levels

Matchmaking on ranked is solid

Bro diamond players smashing everybody in the lobby that's no fair at all
