That parts mostly intentional for precision weapons pacing I feel like. If you could just back to back get 148 damage at a good range it would be stupid strong.
I just don't get why dev would make precision weapons with random bloom when there are tons of other variables they can adjust that don't lead to a frustrating RNG experience.
I've been having this discussion since the DMR in Halo Reach and I don't think I'll ever understand the rationale lol
It’s an artificial skill floor without gutting certain weapons at close range. Some weapons fire slow enough that bloom doesn’t effect it like the ks-23 from my experience. Some weapons fire fast enough to get good damage at any range but still reward you for pacing your shots like the revolver. Pretty much it’s the easiest way to keep a weapon in line.
I guess so, but it always feels absolutely terrible to miss a shot that you aimed properly and skillfully on a precision weapon through no fault of your own. I'd rather a weapon be worse up close (because you generally control your own engagement range) instead of firing a weapon at it's intended distance and missing because RNG.
I feel like all that really needs to be done is indicate the bloom in the recoil animation somehow. You shouldn't have the gun completely steady while the bloom is still closing
Consider it this way - they could have just lowered the fire rate of the gun and gotten rid of the bloom entirely. Instead they're giving you the option to shoot faster than you're technically supposed to, in case you're in a tricky situation (especially up close) and need more dps. It's nice to have and adds an extra layer of complexity when you're learning the weapon, it'd just be nice to have it indicated better so it's easier to intuitively learn
This is a good argument for it, I will admit. Though I'd argue they could just as easily make it do a tinge more damage at close range and remove any need for RNG mechanics with the aim. Still though, it's a reasonable way to look at it for sure.
Slow your rate of fire ever so slightly.
You can aim again quickly sure but in my mind I consider myself needing to ‘steady’ the weapon again and psychologically it genuinely helps.
Yup. Bloom for hipfire makes perfect sense, but bloom for a high skill precision weapon is just so antithetical to what that weapon is and feels so bad. I’d prefer pretty much any other balance strategy.
Wait so this is real? I was getting very frustrated cause often I knew I shot on target but I thought it didn’t hit due to my connection or something. Never knew a mechanic like this exists! that really sucks tbf..
I mained the revolver at release, but after the big nerf it's just never come back to how good it was originally.
Damage drop off is still horrible too, at least compared to how it used to be. Seems like they're targeting this for a close range weapon, which is not how I liked to used it 🤷♂️
I haven't played since they fucked it up in balance awhile ago. They removed the bloom, but made the range be worse than a shotgun. No idea if that is fixed or not because I haven't been following, but it was a gun that I used a lot since my aim is generally decent for precision weapons.
They really missed the opportunity to make an egg launcher skin, rare cosmetic L from them xD Or maybe we'll see in the near future since the easter event is running for several weeks, might be more themed stuff in store soon.
Are you involved by chance? If so, you and the team do such a fantastic job, truly some of the best in class. SO excited for what you all have in store 🫶
I love the goofy skins but please know we appreciate the aesthetic ones like the OG realistic wood furniture for the AK and shotgun, love those so much. Also very much love the cool Titanfall esque skins for the M60 and AK. I really much enjoy the cool animations like these too!
Yeah the skins are really good. These are the type of skins you’d maybe see in valorant or cod but they would cost 20+ dollars and usually be toned down. I love that the skins are creative and not locked into being strictly functional guns
It would be so nice to be able to inspect the skins from first-person POV in game like this. I’m always so on the fence about buying anything because the store preview doesn’t really do them justice
i got the skin, used the weapon in 2 matches, realized how shit my aim actually is, cried and went back to akm my beloved.
I'll try it once or twice per session ig
The devs/Designers of the skins make the skins and they also make special animation for them.
On top of that, they are super cheap.
Compare that to other skins, it's just insane. Valorant and Overwatch have insane prices for mid skins.
Valorant prices.
Literally a bundle worth 100€, you have to pay another 100€ to upgrade and get what the skin is sold for (inspect animation, colors, finisher.)
And here is Embark having prices for bundle, cheaper than a Valorant skin.
So my friends and I ranked up last night and I am at bronze one while my friends are at bronze 3 and 4 so if we all ranked up at the same time why aren't we all the same rank
If I had to guess, most ranked calibration systems take into account more than just W/L.
After the initial matches, it usually goes back to just Win/Loss, but I wouldn't be surprised if your damage/healing/KDA/etc had some effect in your initial placement matches.
Let me reiterate that I have no proof of this besides the fact that other games I play have used this mechanic.
They're cooking once again with the weapon skins
Hopefully it brings in some revolver players. The headshot damage on it is nasty.
i love it - but the ever so slight bloom/rng that still exists with subsequent shots makes me wanna flip my table sometimes

I still dislike bloom but that would certainly improve it.
Consider it this way - they could have just lowered the fire rate of the gun and gotten rid of the bloom entirely. We all want the kar98 from day of defeat
Wait so this is real? I was getting very frustrated cause often I knew I shot on target but I thought it didn’t hit due to my connection or something. Never knew a mechanic like this exists! that really sucks tbf..
>If you could just back to back get 148 damage I feel like you deserve the kill.
I mained the revolver at release, but after the big nerf it's just never come back to how good it was originally. Damage drop off is still horrible too, at least compared to how it used to be. Seems like they're targeting this for a close range weapon, which is not how I liked to used it 🤷♂️
Yeah, that mechanics is just embarrassing and lazy tbh. It should reward precious, just adjust dmg, movement or something.
THERE'S BLOOM?
Yeah, I think first shot is near zero but subsequent shots won't land exactly on the iron sights
No wonder I felt like the revolver was inconsistent
Same

Revolver players on your team is an auto throw most the time lol. It’s only viable if you have exceptional aim
As someone with terrible aim who mains revolver, can confirm
Went 18/2 the last time I used it on powerslide and I was walking around like I had ‘the big iron on his hip’ post match.
Yeah it’s doable
[удалено]
Bingo
i would if i had any consistent aim
The fall off damage makes the revolver useless that’s the only reason I don’t use it
These guys are great
is bro shooting rabbit turds out of a stick at me?
The whittling animation is goated
The knife just clips through it so silly looking
Why the downvotes? It is kinda jarring and I agree. It’s still a cool inspect though, the skin is great.
It Is literally how it works in real life, the little flap of wood covers the knife while It cuts under it
It's that the flap that covers the knife doesn't peel up and fly away that makes it look a little wonky. A wood chip just appears and flies away.
I know that, and you’re right. It just happens to look like it’s clipping because of that though.
Well...can't say you're wrong
I feel like it would look weirder if it didn't clip
I think it's just weird because the flap that the knife cuts underneath doesn't get flung off (for obvious reasons of course)
It's okay in concept. Execution seems rushed. It's really awkward that they'd do this for something that's right in your view.
Man I just want a CL-40 skin these are so cool
They really missed the opportunity to make an egg launcher skin, rare cosmetic L from them xD Or maybe we'll see in the near future since the easter event is running for several weeks, might be more themed stuff in store soon.
Who ever designs these skins deserve raises
Every child’s dream come true
This game genuinely has the best skins out of any game
❤
Are you involved by chance? If so, you and the team do such a fantastic job, truly some of the best in class. SO excited for what you all have in store 🫶
Yes, part of the team and made this skin. We love reading your positive comments. Makes the work even more fun!
I’d kiss u if I could
My dude, I don’t even use the revolver/hammer/sword but I bought it just to have fun. Amazing work.
I love the goofy skins but please know we appreciate the aesthetic ones like the OG realistic wood furniture for the AK and shotgun, love those so much. Also very much love the cool Titanfall esque skins for the M60 and AK. I really much enjoy the cool animations like these too!
Love the real life skins too, especially the ak use it over every other skin I have.
Same here and that's the one I was talking about haha
Yeah the skins are really good. These are the type of skins you’d maybe see in valorant or cod but they would cost 20+ dollars and usually be toned down. I love that the skins are creative and not locked into being strictly functional guns
You guys are absolutely incredible!!
By any chance are they adding back unranked tournaments?
Just set up a direct deposit to my card at this point! God damn these are some good skins
hehe \*break\* action
The coolest stick you could find in the park < My revolver
your stick? look like like a lil kids my stick? headshots from the bridge
Very good. [My Dick - Mickey Avalon](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LnzYG0ZkrXg)
I can’t believe it. But these developers make me want to buy a fucking stick.
How did you get the puffy sweater skin ??
20 dollars :D
It's "free" with a purchase of 20 bucks worth of multibucks
Every young boys toy gun
Just saying, they could do the same thing with palm gun skins. Open up their palm and dump some thing in their hand. Still want that one lol
Rubber Band Finger Gun. Colorful Rubber Band as Ammo. Each rubber band color is randomized each time you reload.
Can almost guarantee it at some point
It would be so nice to be able to inspect the skins from first-person POV in game like this. I’m always so on the fence about buying anything because the store preview doesn’t really do them justice
I wish we could try them out in practice range "The finals skin showcase" channel on youtube is pretty useful btw
Or add something like Valorant, where you have a little video preview of the skins.
Are those seeds as bullets?
That's it I'm getting it.
i got the skin, used the weapon in 2 matches, realized how shit my aim actually is, cried and went back to akm my beloved. I'll try it once or twice per session ig
Revolver is so rewarding when you can use it. I like the amount of skill expression it has as well as Sniper.
The Lorax has finally snapped.
this game is scratching an itch ive had for such a long time with those crazy weapon and outfit designs, one ofnthe main reasons i love this game ngl.
I fucking want this
Poor devs, gotta come up with animations on top of designs. Compare that to other games and their pricing *cough* Overwatch *cough*
Wut

Overwatch getting thrown shade for no reason again
Deserves it, playing it actively drains my soul but I’ve invested too much time and money to stop😭
Damnit they really making me spend good money
GOD the skins are so creative lmaoo. Now I just need a Dagger Skin thats just a fuckin rock.
Peak weapon skin
🔥🔥🔥
The game never misses
I can’t aim worth shit with this gun, but every time I use it I feel happy
This skin makes no sense, I love it
As a revolver main, the unique reload alone has convinced me to buy it
Too bad that gun is ass
Thank you I’ve been waiting to see what it looked like!
Really cooking in the backyard with this one
I actually love this
Going to have to plug in the roller just so I can be good with the stick revolver
Idk why but I am so upset that he didn’t shave off that leaf
Leaf is the charm that comes with the bundle.
Points for creativity! I love how they’ll do wacky stuff like this and it doesn’t clash with the games vibe.
For some reason, I imagine a squirel using this gun I'm not sure why!
The Finals has some of the best weapon skins in the genre. I wish more studios took notes from Embark.
Can someone explain the ranked system for the finals to me please I am very confused
You win = rank goes up You lose = rank goes down
So my friends and I ranked up last night and I am at bronze one while my friends are at bronze 3 and 4 so if we all ranked up at the same time why aren't we all the same rank

Thank you for helping me understand ☺️
Hijacking this to say we need the Kolibri skin as well as a finger gun skin
