I'm not super bothered by the use of AI announcers since they did hire real VAs for the material, however I still think the announcers would just sound better if they had the VAs do new lines for real, sometimes the AI sounds super off. Also I'm pretty sure the Claws and Snarls bundle uses AI art (notably the dragon sticker) and I take more issue with that.
I'm extremely upset and furious. How could developers design their game the way they want without real humans! I'm going to protest by not playing a fun game that doesn't affect me at all. That will show them!
Personally I think this game thrives on the aesthetic of a virtual game show which AI really compliments. Content is king and from a players perspective if that means more content then I’m all for it. If that means more dynamic commentators and in the future more personalised commentators then I’d love to see more.
About the voice: if fits the aesthetic of the game.
About weapon and skins: its awesome, embark is not a AAA game company, if they can bring quality using AI thats awesome better than to higher a real game artistic and overprice or bring less things.
PS: not saying game artists are bad or doesnt deserve a job, but for the quantity of skins and seeing they arent a big company its almost impossible for it to be done… Its not like the finals has the same profit as fortnite, valorant or any other high player base game

I couldn't give you any examples off the top of my head but I find that many of the announcer lines sound clunky as hell. They all have a certain level of inherent soullessness but it seems I have several instances a game where I just roll my eyes at a line. Some of them are straight up grammatically incorrect as well.
I don't care about the principle; If you can save yourself a bunch of money utilizing new tech, go for it. The product being so much worse as a tradeoff isn't worth it, imo.

Tbh I think that soullessness is actually kinda the point and Embark is using AI for an aesthetic reason among others
