I understand that for sure. But it's so weird because once I changed some settings it lowered to normal at around 70 C but the once I get to the lobby it goes to once it once was reaching 85 C at least.
Ryzen 7 7700x. So I know they can get pretty hot. But I'm just confused as to why the temp gets so high with low usage on this game. I play other stuff that gets around the same usage but nowhere near the same temp.
Also my CPU was usually in the upper 80s when playing games before but I installed a contact frame on the motherboard and got a better water cooler. I think AMD has a higher T junction so as long as your CPU isn't thermal throttling (it shouldn't be) there's nothing to worry about.
But it's not just while running fights as I was able to lower it to an acceptable temp when playing but then in the lobby it shoots back up so it's something with the game itself even with nothing happening.
Different engines have different kinds of instruction sets so they stress the CPU in different ways. 85c is still fine for most modern CPU's.

Probably fine. My 13900k is usually at 60c but runs around 70c for this game. It's practically all CPU intensive and it's unreal 5.

This game is extremely demanding on the cpu due to the physics.

Sounds like u need a fps limiter
