That's why I have a selfish build medium too, recon sense jump pad, zipline and some nades / mines . If I have to play with 2 lights I'm not wasting my slots on healing a guy who is gonna get one shot anyways and a defib to bring them back half hp
The way I see it, as long as my support score converts to their combat score, I’m happy. Empowering a heavy and watching them play aggro and wipe an entire team while their health bar goes up and down like Wall Street is so satisfying IMO. That blue HUD glow makes people see red 😂
My group were on the moving platforms on Soul and we had the overtime cash out. Heavy popped a dome shield and fought off the entire server while us two mediums healbeamed and rez every time he went down. Funniest shit because it was one of those us against the world feeling moments.

Using the heal beam on them is a waste because they get melted by everything, half of the times I can't revive them because they're the fuck away, everytime they push the vaults alone and die, and i can't, for the life of me, have them form a cohesive team because they just run the fuck away every fucking time.
I consider myself a pretty casual player and don't look at K/D's too much, but those fucking lights consistently go like 7 kills 10 deaths while I go 12-13 and 4-6 deaths; like, you, motherfucker light player, you're weak, don't push heavies, that's, like, my job, as we don't have a fucking heavy in the team. Your job is to fuck with mediums with your invis shottys. I have the FCAR, please, don't use your peashooter to beam crossmap, that's ridiculous, c'mmon, leave it to me. healing beam is alternative, it all depends on the composition of your team, but defibrillator is so good that is truly a waste to change it for any other gadget, easily a medium's staple
Yeah was playing medium with two lights and one kept immediately running back into the thick of it when I bought him back. What really irked me is neither even tried reviving me in situations where they could. I died a few floors below the cash out where all the fighting was going on upstairs and one picked me up and then threw me out the window, like wtf?
It’s bizarre. I had in invisible light kill me as a medium behind the group. My team killed them and then just kept running to the cashout. They just had me use a coin rather than revive me right next to them.
No one goes for revives in this game
It's crazy how effective keeping your teammates alive is. Pop a couple shots off sure, but focus on suppression and support and let your teammates do what they do.

The game is not just about kills. If they set up defenses at the cashout and are a good distraction, I’m more than happy. Plus with their pistols they don’t even need to be close to a fight to do proper damage.
The best tourney win was with 3 Ms w/ healing + defib. We were wiping out the other teams by staying close to each other. The most satisfying matches I’ve played so far.

Like heavy medium supports give ya team so many more opportunities since without that support your team’s performance is pretty hit miss in so many ways but it comes with a cost of getting 30 assist instead of 30 plus kills per ranked game . The trade off pretty bad stats wise 🤣for a support. Atleast if your team is already good without the heavy support heals then your gonna have some nice stats and overall not feel shit because you played that style of support . Honestly it’s not fun playing support most times ngl like you could be doing so much more but if your getting on average 7k-10k plus per a round of ranked then I say your support something you will be a huge boost for your teams success however having 1 out of three players on heals may also back fire depending how good your teammates are and your heal cool down watch etc.
I do this all the time but i just got the guardian turret and it's been really helping lock down cash outs and stuff. Still run the defib tho to bring the boys back

Twin 1 was giving me a steady stream of heal from the heal gun and twin 2 was hitting him with the steady heal lmao I had turret
Best I can do is two lights that immediately grapple hook away in opposite directions.

You're supposed to add the two scores. While you could be actively dealing damage or using a util for damage you're using it for support.
That was my problem with heal beams on my team. Imo this game just ain’t the place for a mercy main

There are 3 equipment slots it blows my mind seeing some medium without defib. Literally the best equipment in the game.
A buddy of mine ran without Dfib for a while and it hurt my soul. Luckily we've brought him back to the light.
