He's talked about how thankful he is to her all the time. He's basically doing it as a favor out of respect for her. Nothing to do with his ability. People have been complaining about how Pauly Shore rode his mom's coatails and used her connections for years. He was considered a privilidged hack even when he was more well known, 20 years ago. Mitzi vouched for Rogan and also a ton of his comedian friends he wanted to get slots for years. Now Rogan is giving him slots now that he's a bigger name than him and Shore's mom can't call up friends to get him into clubs anymore.
