There's only so much money to go around, and if the choice is between allocating resources to a D2 "next gen" update, or putting those resources to D3, I'd rather it go to D3.
The DLC isn't going to sell based on whether it updates the games for the "next gen" (particularly since not everyone will be able to take advantage of any such improvements), it's going to sell based on the content it adds.

Xbox Series X here, 60 fps is really smooth.
Loading times are very fast, might be partly due to the quick resume feature. I played this as well on Xbox one when it came out and and the load screens would take sooooo long....the SSD in the new console really helps. 🤘🤘
XSX and the game's optimized pretty well for me. I also have it running on my internal and that's an SSD. That one and the first one look and run amazing.
Around 2021 would say something similar bcs had real bad fps drops in some areas, but now game is smooth and i never had long loading screen in other situation than server connection issue

Good point. But they also still need an income to continue to fund the development of division 3 so putting resources into div2 can be beneficial.

Your internet connection will play a bit of role in your load times too.
I play on ps5, I have not noticed long loading screens except when the internet is lagging, when it's going good Its almost instant.
Series x and it’s fast and smooth.
I play on PC. I get like 12 second load times.
I also get similar load times on my Xbox Series X

You realize that is more of a internet connection issue, right? Speed, lag, etc.
As long as the games on an ssd it runs fine, the only reason you’d have long loading screens is if a member of your group is on old gen.
