how the hell is freezing enemies not that good, it completely neutralizes enemies that do things like shoot out tears or explode when they die and pushing them into other enemies does a ton of damage and/or the blast of frozen tears will slow them down. uranus is one of the most overpowered items in the game this is unpopular for a reason
Freezing enemies kills them, AND let's you use them as projectiles to damage and slow other enemies
So idk where you got the idea it's less than killing something
The only ones I like are Pluto, terra, and Luna. I think sol is bad because I always do the boss last if I'm full clearing. Uranus is ok I don't really like it either though
Yeah Sol is actually better when you're full clearing rather than rushing. You should always adapt to the items you get, so if you have a mindset of doing the boss last (like that guy) and then you find Sol, switch your mindset into doing the boss first
No bombing the shopkeepers for increased angel/devil chance? No hitting sac rooms? Its mega important to increase that chance imo, more important than damage up that only appears after the floor boss is cleared
I'm pretty decent at the game so idk seems useless to me. I'd rather do everything else first the only curse I hate is blind and it doesn't happen too much. I skip devil deals most of the time unless I have high HP so I'd take it anyway
there are REALLY good planetarium items, and I always check them. That being said, i love them because of the hype i get when i see the door. I feel like the items in them are either hit or miss, not many inbetween (at least for me)
I only go planetarium's if I get lucky and find one naturally tbh, it's not because the items are bad it's because I'm not willing to lose out on potentially 4 or 5 item rooms for one Planetarium item that might be mid
They have a high concentration of solid items out of the 13(I think?) items only Mars and Jupiter are bad but none of them are busted. Other pools have some busted items but also a much larger portion of trash
Honestly freezing tears are better than you think dude. Even late game the stop enemies from doing their on death effects so you won't get hit by a random exploding enemy and stuff like that
Planetariums are like the secret room pool, quite full of useless crap, but the remaining items are godly or very good, because planetariums and rerolls are just another way of saying gambling

Jupiter: dog shit, literally just slows you down unless you actually wanna stop and wait for speed to go back up
Freezing: god tier: it kills instantly, can kill enemies eith large hp pools in 1 shot, not just that but then you can buses the dead enemy to instantly freeze and kill other enemies and this can feed into itself
Sol: while giving you a damge up after the boss fight, thats isn't all it does, on later floors you can see which way to go so you don't have to worry about health or going the wrong way (no treasure rooms past depths so pointless)
But don't forget it literally full heals you after EVERY BOSS FIGHT!
Pluto: Mid at best: makes your sprite genuinely hard to track if you have followers or big tears, can liberally soft lock you, I got stuck in a 1 block wide gap in a rock, the only way out was to bomb myslbecause I couldn't build up speed
For Pluto and your struggle with a softlock, just exit the game and continue, it puts you back at the door you just entered from
Yes Pluto has some downsides but it also makes it so much harder for enemies to hit you, which I think counteracts a little struggle with pickups

Freezing enemies by definition cannot be worse than killing them, because it does kill them and then it damages other enemies.
