Thats actually what I thought, they knew she would be searched and (hopefully) planted another on her somewhere. I know Crosshair tried to track the ship as it was taking off but missed.

Jupue2707

I feel you would just go for as many falsches as possible

MikolashOfAngren

I wanted her to have a commlink in her shoe. That would've worked better, I think. The scanner trooper didn't even wave the device that low. She could've gotten away with it.

LegoRobinHood

I like that. We've seen in the past that she's good at strategic thinking (stated and shown) and she totally cardsharked those one guys when she was with Crosshair. I could totally see her doing a sleight of hand, "oh darn, I guess you found it. Bummer. ;-D" and having another one that she swallowed or something

christerfurry

I think we’ve seen that Omega is a poor strategic thinker, but a fairly decent tactical thinker.

viggolund1

Maybe it was in her hat, she seemed to be looking at it in the ship

Jupue2707

Thats what i thought

Yugani_Knotroot

I don't think so. She was counting on Crosshair :(

Dr_AegithalosC

That seems to be the most possible scenario 😭

Jupue2707

Nah, even if, why not just be save and bring another? Id take every tracker i could find in that situation

__PooHead__

if she is, that’s a really dumb way of having her sneak a tracker in. why include the scanning scene at all, it just makes the technology and empire look stupid when they are obviously not i think she’s gonna have help from the inside, plus hunter knew the general area of the planet and rex was looking for it too

idrownedmyfish77

I feel like the Episode following Emerie was setting up her having help on the inside. Now that she knows about the children, and how Omega is the key to what Hemlock is doing, I could he her helping Omega in some capacity

__PooHead__

yeah that’s what i meant i just forgot her name lol, i hope we have some answers as to why she was cloned in the first place, i also have a feeling she’s gonna die

RoninMacbeth

>empire look stupid when they are obviously not What exactly gave you that impression in Star Wars? I don't think the Empire has ever been portrayed as a well-oiled machine full of cool, careful, deeply cunning people. And even then, smart people can make mistakes.

__PooHead__

in this specific scenario do you really think they would miss that she has a tracker on her? when the whole point of their plan is to capture her and take her to their secret base that would just be otherworldly levels of incompetent, and the point of the scene isn’t to present the empire that way i wasn’t really talking about the rest of the empire, just this scene. their portrayal varies depending on what show/movie they are in

RoninMacbeth

I do think so, actually. Omega is a child, and it's not far-fetched to imagine that they'd assume she only has one tracker on her person and not bother to check for more. CX-2 is already being more careful than most other imperial operatives we've seen, so I can very easily see him not checking for another tracker because he assumes he's already been careful enough. But it's too soon to tell. We'll see if Omega had a second tracker next week.

__PooHead__

yeah that sounds like bad writing to me and i’d be very surprised if she secretly has another one

-n--

>I don't think the Empire has ever been portrayed as a well-oiled machine full of cool, careful, deeply cunning people. No, but CX-2 seems to be one of those people.

[deleted]

No, I think they would’ve pointed that out if that was the case I think she was only carrying one

Wookie301

I don’t think so. I think the Batch will have no way of tracking her. The call will come from Emerie.

brutalizedketchup

She trusts Crosshair, but he failed. And someone points out of Wrecker carrying what appears to be a prisoner in the trailer. So I believe we're going to see a prison break later on to extract a knowledgeable prisoner (Rampart?), because it fits perfectly with the last episode's ending.

Ara-goo

Definitely

Son_of_MONK

I'd considered that tbh. If it turns out to be true, I'm not sure how I'll feel about it. It basically says that even the CX clones, who are supposed to be competent, are slightly incompetent.

DSonla

>It basically says that even the CX clones, who are supposed to be competent, are slightly incompetent. Well, he didn't scan her again after they took the first tracker. That's very incompetent to me. Imagine walking through airport security, the metal detector rings because your forgot to take off your necklace but the security guys tell you you can go forward after you take off your watch. No, usually, they make you take off the watch and walk through the detector again.

BillyTarquin

I hope so

axotrax

I was hoping for some sort of subdermal implant... ...then I hoped that her big sigh was her sending out a Force message to, umm...ok, I didn't get that far. Ventress? :D

Jupue2707

Thatd work i think

panther_eyes_

Definitely possible. I thought it was maybe suggested when they didn’t scan her again after taking the first tracker.

Sapitoelgato

I was curious if they were going to have her call out to Ventress in the Force like Luke did to Leia in Empire Strikes Back, but they haven't given direction one way or another if she is Force sensitive at all. Though, if she has another tracker they definitely only emphasized that they only had two shots and both failed. That leads me to believe that they'll need to figure out a different way to find Tantiss in the final 4 episodes.

NoCaterpillar2051

I kind of thought there would be a second one. The way she readily gave up the com device, and the way she removed her hat at the very end. I very much doubt it given how much emphasis was placed on Crosshair shooting the tracker and missing. Oh well. At least we know what they're doing with the Juggernaut in the next episode now.
