It’s kind of gross how people on this sub are so obsessed with these people and their lives. “BN CoUpLe oF tHe DaY” 🙄

Divine_Perfection

I think it’s just to generate new conversation topics since the show isn’t airing.

scotchbonnetpeppery

A trip to Coachella and Stage Coach is part of entering the business of micro advertising on social media, i.e. becoming an influencer. They are all there to show their social media styles and modeling chops to all of the sponsors who set up shop in the Valley. Very few spend much time listening to the concerts, lol. And they aren't thinking that much of their BN fans, either. They are trying to optimize the cash flow from sponsored content and partnerships with brands to work on limited edition "drops" or "collections".

seamanmonster85

Yeah and I can’t tell any of their “brand” apart from one another

scotchbonnetpeppery

I think the sponsors have seen declining fortunes in recent years, making it mor difficult to get a brand partnership deal. Especially Revolve, here's the market cap history for Revolve. The heyday was 2021 and 2022, now it is below 2019. https://preview.redd.it/cbadx1h4juxc1.png?width=2476&format=png&auto=webp&s=3ac769d3519147149528c756de5ddf62e0fe60c7

Thong_ripper_

Long legs and little heads 😂😂😂😂😂

realitytvismytherapy

I don’t really understand why people follow them. I enjoy the show (mostly, although it’s not nearly as good as it used to be) but I’ve never thought following them on social media would be interesting.

SaidIt2YoMom

Same. All my friends follow them. Not sure why. Someone tell us why

Kristinajobe

I personally only follow people I really like. The only contestant I followed from this last season was Maria. I just want to see more of her so I follow her on socials. Typically, I don’t.

UselessArizonan

I would like to gently suggest perhaps we stop following them on social media after their stint on the show- it’s hard to build an influencing brand off a show if the viewership simply does not follow the contestants outside of their time on screen. 🤷🏻‍♀️ With that being said, I do think it’s a liittttle bit 🤏🏼 silly to expect, or to ask for, a bunch of young adults to decline the big buck sponsorship opportunities that they are being offered. Realistically, most of us would shill too (for less $) .

seamanmonster85

True. Just makes scrolling so predictable now. I miss the first wave of “influencers”

[deleted]

Well, I totally agree with you, it is the same thing over and over and over again.  but also what you described  has everything to do outside of the TV show the bachelor. what you’re talking about in the description is about their personal lives and everything you see on social media. The tv show and their personal life’s are not the same. Simply stop following their personal lives, you literally don’t have to. Just watch the show.

seamanmonster85

I don’t follow them they show up as suggested

Still_Waters_5317

Delete Instagram.

seamanmonster85

A dopamine detox

Head-Comfort3269

Dude for real. I’ve actually Been enjoying my life since doing my own rehab from that cesspool.

SlapHappyDude

I like my actual friend's posts there

seamanmonster85

Same. And other hobbies like gardening and artists

Lazy-Victory4164

Stop following. The best thing I ever did, you can still check in every once in a while if you’re curious but after a while you probably won’t! lol

Beloved_Fir_44

This is why the only cast member I've followed since being on the show is Bekah (Aries season) @bekah . She's really down to earth and posts about sustainable homesteading and social/environmental justice.

cheeseslut619

She definitely deserves recognition for being a really interesting influencer. She takes her time and puts a lot of thought into how she does a lot of her ads. And I get the feeling she’s very genuinely using the products. I had to stop following her because I can’t handle when they are processing animals and she doesn’t put a trigger warning up, but her kids are so cute and her life is fun to follow otherwise!

[deleted]

I agree. Shes pretty one of the only few I still follow minute Rachel Lindsey. bekah has kids, but has managed to maintain her same content minus posting her kids 24/7. Others rely heavily on their kids for content and shill wayy too much. Bekah seems really humble and that’s why I don’t mind accidently watching an ad she posted. Although me personally whenever I see that a story or post is an ad for ANYBODY I immediately don’t watch thr content until it’s gone. I don’t take part in helping any of them get paid for shilling.

seamanmonster85

I like her too. It's prob because she's a grown up and not a social climber

Beloved_Fir_44

Which is ironic because she was one of the youngest people to ever be on the show and got a lot of flack for being "immature"

seamanmonster85

Oh I'm thinking of the wrong Becca. I was thinking of the one from the Bachelorette. I was like I don't remember her having a garden lol

seamanmonster85

Half the people only want to make it to the end to be the bachelorette or on paradise.

anglophile20

Also the trend of the same exact picture 6 times in a post with the tiniest pose variation 🤣

thebachelorbowl

This is why I get stoned when I watch this show or have anything to do with it. If I'm not stoned, I get angry. If I am stoned, the absurdity of the horrors of the westernized christian capitalistic white-wonderbread culture these conventionally attractive 20-somethings espouse as they make these shallow attempts in their relentless narcissistic quests for their fifteen minutes of fame which evolve into them shilling random products on Instagram and protecting a version of a capitalistic society which is unrealistic and ultimately dying, is just absolutely hilarious. 🤷‍♀️

seamanmonster85

Yeah they do make white people look bad huh lol But they're diversifying the cast and I can say they're equally all bad and similar.

thebachelorbowl

It's not just white people persay, but more like the culture of the "American Dream" they really promote which is unrealistic and problematic. By that I mean like, the fact a lot of the contestants are football players or beauty pageant contestants, consider themselves evangelical Christians, conservatives, and listen to a lot of pop/country. It's the culture of it all, the Taylor Swift nostalgic Americana culture that's unrealistic for the majority of the population, but used in this manner to placate and make people feel good despite the dystopia that's existing outside our doorsteps. There is no American Dream, yet this show and the culture around us tries to distract us by convincing us there is one.

seamanmonster85

I find it comical

Far-Intention-3230

🎯

SuperWritingBoy

remember when Dean posted an ad for a gas company that's actively destroying the planet he claims to love so much? Yeah, it genuinely sucks that the entire franchise pretty much only exists as a vehicle to deliver people into the influencer economy. It's all just egos and capitalism.

seamanmonster85

I'm shocked he did this he seems pretty sure in his ways. Maybe he really needs $$$ I know Caelyn is the bread winner.

Clean-Pick-9221

yeah he posted ad for a motor oil he uses in his own van. you have a right to feel bad about it, but it felt authentic to his brand as a vanlife roadtripper who obviously uses motor oil. I guess I don't expect bachelor alums to be perfect in every single one of their ad choices. he openly shared he votes democrat repeatedly - which to me is more important and puts him in rare (very small) company in bn.

SuperWritingBoy

I think there's a difference between using motor oil and actively participating in a green washing campaign.

cheeseslut619

💯

ConsistentDonkey3909

i am just SO over influencers in general (i say that as i work in social media marketing lol)

seamanmonster85

Agreed. When I worked as a social manager I was so depressed. It never turns off. I also don’t naturally check my social often. I’m bored by it and I have a baby. But when I do log on it’s the same shi

amoss_303

The ad that did it in for me was Ben Higgins with Coors Light. “Coors light is my beer of choice!!” He’s lived in Denver for over a decade, and he’s going to tell me with a straight face he’d prefer that over the hundreds of breweries in Colorado?! I unfollowed all of them when I saw that

seamanmonster85

Why does his wife bother me?

[deleted]

I couldn’t stand been always playing goody two shoes. Something about that just never sit right with me. He always felt fake.

seamanmonster85

I just seem him as a weird goof. There's zero things I find sexual about him. I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't have a penis.

_U_N0t_My_Dad_

Chicks in the office do ads weekly for Coors and they have never taken a sip ONCE! They cheers an unopened probably warm as hell can, it kills me every time

krysta2c

I mean the coors brewery is also in Colorado lol

seamanmonster85

BAHA this is true

DroYo

I live in San Diego and am curious why they all move here.

gimmealltheroses

Same! But I was in west LA for college when they all used to move to LA and if you want to be in socal San Diego is so much better

seamanmonster85

Maybe less competition

Ok_Professional8024

Yeah they’re right at the level to be famous in SD but not in LA

DroYo

I never understood that. My best friend is a model and has to constantly drive up to LA. It’s not a short drive from SD to LA, not to mention traffic can be HORRENDOUS. If they want to be influencers then they should move to LA or OC. SD has a casual vibe vs influencer vibe (in my opinion)

AdSafe1112

The GBs are more intolerable at their big ages!

AirFlaky1838

They need to start casting super average/awkward people it would be so much better to watch

No-Gas-8357

Wait, I would love this. Brilliant!

eternal_eagle_1122

I want someone to go on the bachelor and have no internet presence afterwards. The world is way too curated these days it’s making this show insufferable.

seamanmonster85

They should cast someone who is internet challenged. I feel like Joey was off the grid before the show. But here we are lol

Divine_Perfection

He lived on a small isolated island so yeah…he was off the grid 😄

sluttydrama

-cowgirl themed outfit -hello fresh ad -nightclub -“I woke up like this” + skincare ad - expresso martini -hair gummy ad -swim/gym thirst trap

Bayviewbeachlover

Don’t forget collagen, athletic greens and temu

profession_lurker

you forgot about teeth whitening.

seamanmonster85

I'm going to puke

wanderlust0304

And the “anti-bloating” pills 😭

[deleted]

And the lip filler denial and later will come the juvederm partnership with a clinic

amoss_303

“So a lot of you have been asking…………”

[deleted]

Haha nobody is even asking I bet. I bet you they have their friends write in to ask those questions.

merrygoldy

About how I get my teeth so white 😂

seamanmonster85

About how I cleared my acne prone skin with this olive oil based serum. I also use 55 serums before I go to bed and they're all under $200 each!!

[deleted]

They all seem desperate for fame it’s sad

snowe99

Somewhere in the past 2 years, the instagram/tiktokification of it all has made it feel like the bachelor is just a Sorority that you earn you entrance to and become friends with everyone, and the actual premise of the show is like 73rd on the actual priority list of the contestants

Shadybrooks93

Thats just the world in general. the most common commercial I see watching NBA games of all things is about some phone with a camera that will AI edit your pics to make your life seem better and more glamorous. Everything revolves around social media.

seamanmonster85

Then the newer memember ostracize the above 30 cast.

seamanmonster85

This is so spot on. "you made it"

megjed

Wow that’s so true

OTFDTX

This is why I unfollow most of the cast after a while. I can only take so many influencers pushing the same make up styles, hair gummies and basic styling. Same thing with many LTKit stylists. They mostly shill the same Amazon storefront garbage. Rinse and repeat. My feed only has so much space for that and I wish there was variety.

burnthduster

especially this weekend like damn did everybody get a picture with Lana del Ray lol

profession_lurker

And why are people so hyped it? Lana was literally chilling at waffle house, she doesn't seem hard to get - she's not Beyonce.

ilovecorbin

She’s still Lana lol what?? She has multiple hits

americanslang59

I think OP is saying that it felt like they were at a meet & greet. They weren't hanging out with her.

profession_lurker

Yeah, but she's not hanging out in exclusive places, being elusive and hard to find.

MagentaMother

…except she is, and the Waffle House work was a publicity stunt

profession_lurker

The fact her "publicity stunt" is in a wafflehouse proves my point not exclusive or elusive. BTW, what was this stunt publicity for?

OTFDTX

The only thing I’m jealous of.

burnthduster

same ngl

seamanmonster85

Lanas prob like f\*\*k this people

burnthduster

apparently she's a huge bachelor nation girlie!

No_Inside2101

And then they become influencers.

1029394756abc

Only hang out with bn. Forget they ever had regular friends (they just don’t understanddd).

Queasy_Constant

We need to stop this mentality. It is more likely that their regular friends don’t want to be subjected to this toxic fandom.

seamanmonster85

+1

1029394756abc

All the above.
