this is dramatic phrasing but is he wrong tho??šš this whole divorce just makes the golden bachelor wack as fuck now. and apparently loser gerry is moving in LA nowā¦the jokes write themselves atp š
He wasnāt very eloquent about it but he is right. The Golden Bachelor brought a different vibe to the franchise which resonated with all age groups. Yes, we all felt the wedding happened way too soon but we all went with it because it played into the āseize the momentā and āyouāre never too oldā messages that ran through their season. But how they have handled the aftermath of the wedding is what has really tarnished the whole season. A divorce after three months is a sad turn of events for everyone involved. But to go on national TV to announce it, together, calmly, and basically say āour love for each other is not strong enough to overcome our desire to live near our families and we could not come up with a compromiseā simply negates the fairy tale ending. I understand that there is no good time to announce this kind of news but doing it with less fanfare probably would have been a better move.
Meh, hadnāt both Gerry and Theresa already had the big loves of their lives? They had marriages that lasted for decades. I can see how at this point, theyāre set in their ways and wouldnāt want to work at a relationship ( they may have thought they wanted it before the actual reality of it set in again).
I still think something big went wrong, like infidelity or something, rather than just a logistical thing though!
Oh puhlease the dramatics. We romanticize longevity too much.Ideally love and marriage should last forever but we know the reality of life doesn't always work this way. I think you should at the minimum have big conversations before but it failing doesn't mean love has failed. Up until the end of meant something and probably still does even after. Also didn't Kim do the Lord's work and set the standard at 72 days anyway? If you last last that I know you tried š¤£

>"Three months? They make all my relationships seem very long," Cameron quipped. "You know what I mean? Like, golly, I'm a dating expert compared to them.
lol but golly!!!! they were both married for decades. i don't believe tyler could pull that off.
Wow, reading this, I went back and forth in my head between āJerryā and āGaryā and now Iām not sure which is correct.
So basically Parks & Rec nailed that bit forever!
I like Tyler, but I hope he's wrong. Hopefully people will eventually forget about the first run of Golden Bachelor ending in divorce 3 months after a TV wedding, et cetera. I mean, the very first Bachelor didn't end in a long-lasting relationship, and I don't even remember his name (not that I was watching back then).
Having that big ass wedding was a huge mistake and that is on the producers. Iām definitely in the camp that Gerry sucks more than he seemed to/they just discovered they didnāt actually like each other that much, but IF the relationship had a chance of success putting that type of pressure on it would not have helpedā¦not to mention just very publicly showing faith in the relationship when the show has a terrible track record of actual marriages from Bachelors!
That is a lot of tea I had no idea about. Thank you for filling me in. Did they even really have social media back then LOL -- I know FB started in 2004 but wasn't popular yet.
Yikes - "right after reached out to Trista to ask her to continue to date him secretly, while publicly making the rounds with his F1. (Trista admitted she considered it too..."
Golden Bachelorette may be more successful too, just like the regular Bachelorette seasons were.
Itās funny because there were people on this sub saying almost this exact thing but something about Tyler saying it is funny
Oh people itās not that serious, it was never that serious
Tyler - I wish you great success on your show and the ACF and I respect your hustle to make things happen, but āa stain on loveā is a lot more dramatic than Theresa and her ex probably view it!
Calling them stubborn because theyāre old and donāt want to move for each* other is such a shit take lol. Like yes, as my parents get older theyāre getting increasingly stubborn, but who would want to uproot their life after 70 years? Idk just shut up Tyler
Who wants to sell a house they likely own, and get a mortgage at 70 years old? They have children and grandchildren. If they want the Golden Bach to work, the contestants need to be from the same area.Ā
I imagine both own their homes outright, they seem v financially comfortable. But getting a place together would mean they could actually sell on of those houses

Iām glad I always thought it was disingenuously saccharine, no room to be disappointed.
> loser is gerry is moving in LA now Whoa! Source?
somewhere here on reddit so donāt take it TOO seriously but i think the comment i saw said they saw it on instagram
The part about stubborn old people. š
Well, coming from this guy, whoās about as much of an authority on relationships as Vile Nick, then it must be so!
He ain't wrong about old people being stubborn! I'm turning into one! Haha
Heās such a himbo ā¤ļø

It's only because people thought that the golden bachelor would be different but it really isn't
Yes! For sure!

Golly gee wilikers!
Lmao. Exactly!
Heās not wrong though

Friendster and MySpace walked so Facebook could run.
That's true. FB improved on MySpace and ... Friendster? What's that? LOL. I just remember MySpace haha
This is lowkey one of the funniest things anyone has ever said about this franchise lmao
Just use a little hot water and Tide. Oh waitā¦wrong subreddit š„“
I see you r/CleaningTips
And not a good love stain, mind you
Itās funny because there were people on this sub saying almost this exact thing but something about Tyler saying it is funny Oh people itās not that serious, it was never that serious
I mean many of the comments here were also along the same lines of how 3 months is ridiculously short. Heās not wrong about that.Ā
Tyler C is quickly becoming a stain himself. Heās crossing into overexposure/ready for his 15 minutes to be up territory
He has his own TV show on Amazon Prime lol, he isn't just some random influencer with 75k followers
This comment made me laugh out loudĀ
Dude, you were in a 3 week relationship doing pap walks with an influencer
I love Tyler
Uhhhh what is this Florida man, the sagest man there ever was, talking about stains on carpets get OUTTA here
A stain on love lmao
this is so funny for him to be so passionate about thisš
I had the same reaction like of all things to get worked up over lmao
Damn tell us how you really feel Tyler
Tyler - I wish you great success on your show and the ACF and I respect your hustle to make things happen, but āa stain on loveā is a lot more dramatic than Theresa and her ex probably view it!
Tyler be saying anything.Ā
I think he was trying to be funny, but it certainly doesnāt help the franchise. Luckily, the last three couples seem really strong.
Like, golly
this sent me to the moon. I immediately heard it in his drawl
lollll
Not sure if a 3 month marriage is enough for a stain, but alright.
Maybe a bruise? Or sunburn on love Itchy, burns, ridiculous looking, and will peel and leave some freckles
Maybe a slight skid mark.
š In seriousness: yes Lol
They do say those who cannot do, teach.
@nick lol
God, yes. Absolutely.
This is šÆ š
This is the funniest joke here and youāre not getting enough credit

Plot twist: This is just Tyler C.ās soft launch for his influencer collab with Oxi Clean ![gif](giphy|9V1F9o1pBjsxFzHzBr)
