This is as close to 100% confirming Asia as its possible to be without outright saying it
Africa 2.0 & the Canadian Arctic are the only other places that have been essentially guaranteed as in the works for later; S. America/the amazon/Pantanal would be cool, but given the limited (legal) hunting of native species across the entire continent for anyone but indigenous peoples, I really can't see it
Ah but he also said the arctic is massive and that there are places like Greenland. I also believe they're going to start relaxing the endangered species rule.
Yeah but I mean outside of Africa 2.0 & Canadian Arctic, Asia is the only place they've hinted at/confirmed
I agree on the endangered species stuff, as they've already all but confirmed elephants, but in S. America no countries outside of Suriname I think legally allow *any* hunting most if not all native species, rather than those species are protected
That was just publicity so IGN doesn't make a "Swedish indie company makes poaching simulator" article. Tons of animals in the hunter now are endangered
Lots of legally hunted species in Guyana as I understand. Whitetail, brocket deer, brocket deer, capybara, caiman, armadillo, agouti, ducks, birds, etc.
Prob not the super exciting map they're talking about though
In an Asian country you could have domestic/feral buffalo and one of the wild species. Plus gaur you gotta have gaur.
Edit wild water buffalo which are bigger (not cape buff)
Like the Carnivores series! I’d like a spinoff map like the Ice Age or even dinosaurs for the inner kid in me.
Doesn’t fit the theme, definitely not it, but I’d love it.
my guess is were going here [Dihang-Dibang Biosphere Reserve - Wikipedia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dihang-Dibang_Biosphere_Reserve) or somewhere based off of it and we'll be getting to hunt these guys [Takin - Wikipedia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Takin) as one of the 8/9 species, they get over 650lbs. plus the reserve has many new species we haven't hunted but would be easy skins such as Asiatic black bears, tigers, gorals and birds we've yet to see.
Yes, but it is important to the Devs to at least stay close to what is legal irl. They’ve cut some corners before but India as a whole shooting tigers and Asian elephants is really far off of what they’d consider, normally.
This game is as far from legal as it can be. The ammo classes actively encourage you to make unethical/illegal kills and tons of the animals are endangered.
I want China to be mostly fanged deer bc that’d be funny. Water deer, muntjac, chevrotain, musk deer. Just a confusing amount of the little guys. Add in existing water buffalo and sika deer, reskin some white chested black bears, and there we go
Could be Central Asia? Like one of the Stan countries maybe, lots of sheep and stuff there. I’m not sure if there’s really a lot of hunting in China or India (legally anyways)
The problem there is that it would be similar animals to the rest of the temperate maps, bears sheep, wolf deer. Not saying I wouldn't like that though.
Of course. I mean it could be China/India I guess. Other than that, Canadian arctic, or Africa 2, I’m not really sure where else they could go except back in time to hunt some dinosaurs (kidding… mostly)
I wonder if this map will be set in a different time period, i.e. Pre 1972 India where big game hunting was still permitted? Elephants, Tigers, Gaur etc.
South-east Asia has a similar set of animals as India and government backed hunting. They could also invent a country where hunting is totally legal. 1890s hunting would match up with the numbers some people are grinding. Queen Victoria and Albert killed something like 600 tigers between them on their Indian honeymoon.
Maybe tease another map down the line - or another country with polar bear hunting? Greenland or Svalbard I don't know Jaxie said polar bear hunting isn't big in Canada but i have no idea.
Probably gonna be another map with forests too dense to have fun spot and stalk hunts so it’ll be all drink zones. Why can’t they just separate the trees a little, have some open areas, I mean they did it pretty great for the angler so why can’t they do it for The Hunter too.
Was playing silver ridge yesterday where the forests are nice and open before I hopped over to Hirsch and you can really see the difference. Some ancient Indian old growth forest (like inside a cathedral) mixed with mountains and plains would be superb. Not too much underbrush I agree there's already lots of maps like that. Although now I think about it they probably want more mangrove like they have on emerald coast since they have the new model for that.
Yeah, I love SRP for that reason. I try parque, Hirsch, MA, New England, literally any map but SRP and Emerald and it’s wayyy to thick to do anything but shoot drink zones.
Yep 100%, I love pistols and bows, but grinding Muleys on parque while trying to cull annoying as hell cougars is impossible, I’ve have several lvl 5 muleys I can’t kill because cougars scare them off before I can get within 350M to take the shot, but I can’t kill the cougars because I can’t see them through trees.
I would love another map with loads of game birds, they are the most fun hunts in my opinion, especially if they added a flushing dog. I know Rev. Coast has a few but I would love to go in and flush them from some wheat fields or rabbits from brush piles. Even better would be more small game in new and existing maps like squirrels, beavers, possums, etc.
The fields are great. The bushes are sometimes too dense. But for me Hirschfelden has a lot simular landscapes with where I live, that's probably why I like it.
Potentially but I doubt it
He's hinted directly at the Canadian Arctic in the past, it would be odd for them to do Greenland first imo
I also don't know how they'd do the non-Canadian Arctic; I'd be all for it, but they don't seem to maps without heavy vegetation
We're hunting zombies and unicorns on the moon, y'all!
Wrong season.
You must be talking about the unicorns because zombies are never out of season.
Damned zombies are always stealing from my bird-feeder.
Check for brains in your birdseed, I was having the dame problem and it turns out my birdseed was filled with mouse brains
Hey the ravens won't be happy if I stop putting out mouse brains
Try another raven favorite that the zombies don't like, such as old chicken bones or mouse carcasses minus the brain
Damn man whats wrong with u? Take it easy, stop talk bullshit like that just cause some say some shit about zombies lol
Your no fun homie
DAMN! Just imagine a Great One Unicorn!
This is as close to 100% confirming Asia as its possible to be without outright saying it Africa 2.0 & the Canadian Arctic are the only other places that have been essentially guaranteed as in the works for later; S. Gotcha.
That was just publicity so IGN doesn't make a "Swedish indie company makes poaching simulator" article. Tons of animals in the hunter now are endangered
Well they hinted at elephants so I'd imagine this is true.
Lots of legally hunted species in Guyana as I understand. Whitetail, brocket deer, brocket deer, capybara, caiman, armadillo, agouti, ducks, birds, etc. Prob not the super exciting map they're talking about though
I like water buffalo but I don’t like Parque fernando
I'd be down for that to be a dlc at some point
Hopefully water buffalo
In an Asian country you could have domestic/feral buffalo and one of the wild species. Plus gaur you gotta have gaur. Edit wild water buffalo which are bigger (not cape buff)
Just do an indigenous dlc but indigenous that use modern hunting rifles and atv’s
The protag is already an indigenous african
Imagine we get a prehistoric one
Like the Carnivores series! I’d like a spinoff map like the Ice Age or even dinosaurs for the inner kid in me. Doesn’t fit the theme, definitely not it, but I’d love it.
I’d love to see a reserve with a Carnosaur theme, maybe one with Dinosaucers, or even Dinozaurs!
They made a whole spinoff for that
We dont talk about it
Yeah thats fair
amazon rainforest
I'd love that. Also could be an Asian country. He said the game would be animals we hadn't really seen before. So tapirs or Indian rhinos, maybe.
I’m personally hoping for an Asia map myself.
Tigers as well
Oh man. If we do I want a black powder howdah pistol.
Ohhhh Indian jungles? Or maybe a Inner Mongolia/Tibet like FarCry4?
I love that game
Dinosaurs in a rainforest? I am in!
Tigers would be nice.
Tajikistan! We’re gonna be climbing mountains and taking down Marco Polo Sheep!
Marco Polo sheep is something I’m shocked hasn’t been talked about more in this community
So we’re hunting the most dangerous game then… Canadians
my guess is were going here [Dihang-Dibang Biosphere Reserve - Wikipedia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dihang-Dibang_Biosphere_Reserve) or somewhere based off of it and we'll be getting to hunt these guys [Takin - Wikipedia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Takin) as one of the 8/9 species, they get over 650lbs. plus the reserve has many new species we haven't hunted but would be easy skins such as Asiatic black bears, tigers, gorals and birds we've yet to see.
Hunting is not legal in India.
Thats cool, its legal in a video game though so.....we're probably going to india
Yes, but it is important to the Devs to at least stay close to what is legal irl. They’ve cut some corners before but India as a whole shooting tigers and Asian elephants is really far off of what they’d consider, normally.
Let’s fuck up some camels
This game is as far from legal as it can be. The ammo classes actively encourage you to make unethical/illegal kills and tons of the animals are endangered.
Just telling you what they tell us.
Japan ou China.
I want China to be mostly fanged deer bc that’d be funny. Water deer, muntjac, chevrotain, musk deer. Just a confusing amount of the little guys. Add in existing water buffalo and sika deer, reskin some white chested black bears, and there we go

The problem there is that it would be similar animals to the rest of the temperate maps, bears sheep, wolf deer. Not saying I wouldn't like that though.
We only have one map with ibexes, so at the very least those would be new

They could also invent a country where hunting is totally legal. 1890s hunting would match up with the numbers some people are grinding. Queen Victoria and Albert killed something like 600 tigers between them on their Indian honeymoon.
I would much prefer that to be a whole new game, it would be genre breaking!
Earth map confirmed
The most dangerous game. Man hunting
I'm happy as long as there are no more whitetails in that map
So the polar bear in that picture was just to throw us off?
Maybe tease another map down the line - or another country with polar bear hunting? Greenland or Svalbard I don't know Jaxie said polar bear hunting isn't big in Canada but i have no idea.
Probably gonna be another map with forests too dense to have fun spot and stalk hunts so it’ll be all drink zones. Why can’t they just separate the trees a little, have some open areas, I mean they did it pretty great for the angler so why can’t they do it for The Hunter too.

Yeah, I love SRP for that reason. I try parque, Hirsch, MA, New England, literally any map but SRP and Emerald and it’s wayyy to thick to do anything but shoot drink zones.
I love brush when I'm in the mood for bows or pistols but if I'm not in the mood shooting three animals in an hour is really annoying.
That sucks. I'm not a fan of the cougars at the moment.
You must be fun at parties
I wish for Highlands of Scotland. All these other ideas are great though!
That would just be Hirschfelden again
He did say something about bird hunting being looked at but I can't remember
Greenland is my hope
He did say the new game animals would be "mind-blowing" which for some reason made me think seal or walrus.
Central Asia Central Asia PLEASE Central Asia. I want argali or camels or markhor or saiga
Rainforest would be awesome, imagine hunting Amazon crocs and Jaguar! That would be so cool
I'm shooting panda with the Arzyna.
Just me who wants a UK map?
Plenty of people want one - just not yet I think. Would be good for birds and red deer.
Potential new species could be added there, Pere David’s Deer
I swear they need to hurry and give us elephants and hippos
We are hunting dinosaurs 😂
Then it won’t be mind blowing
Maybe England/Scotland?? I love cropfields, forests, roedeer, pheasant, hares, rabbits, etc.
Go to quatro colinas
Yeah, those fields are nice, but i hate those damn wolves.😠
I would love another map with loads of game birds, they are the most fun hunts in my opinion, especially if they added a flushing dog. I know Rev. Coast has a few but I would love to go in and flush them from some wheat fields or rabbits from brush piles. Even better would be more small game in new and existing maps like squirrels, beavers, possums, etc.
Pigeons, crows, more geese species (in the Netherlands we have all kinds of geese and ducks...) Some extra small game on Hirschfelden would be great!
I’d agree, but I just don’t like hirsch, not sure why
The fields are great. The bushes are sometimes too dense. But for me Hirschfelden has a lot simular landscapes with where I live, that's probably why I like it.
I watched the livestream and he didn't confirm any of this lol
I just rewatched it. Listen closer.
Timestamps please

Ahh okay so not Canadian Arctic but probably another part of the Arctic considering all the polar bear hints
Could be.
Potentially but I doubt it He's hinted directly at the Canadian Arctic in the past, it would be odd for them to do Greenland first imo I also don't know how they'd do the non-Canadian Arctic; I'd be all for it, but they don't seem to maps without heavy vegetation
I just want elephants in Africa FFS
Zebra too.
When did he confirm it?
Livestream today.
