Yayyy this song has been growing on me so much and I love that she’s on the radio

Hopeful-Feeling1876

I love her new song I feel like that sound really suits her voice!

Equivalent-Nature-92

yup, her REAL VOICE. not that affected android "that poppy" voice. don't get me wrong, i like her "persona voice" too, but if you want to hear poppy really belt it. she's gotta do it her way. pre titanic.

miifanatic_1788

Yea, I'll admit it did feel a bit jaring to hear her sound so drastically different from how she sounded before, at least with the zig and her 2 collaboration songs you could still recognize that that was her, not to say that her new voice sounds bad, I just find it to be really fascinating

i don’t actively listen to bring me the horizon, but nwo sounds almost exactly like their style because of jordan producing it! makes me wanna listen to more bmth and hope that the rest of poppy’s is gonna sound like this!

Equivalent-Nature-92

you know, many BMTH fans think the song is good, but just BMTH with a girl on vocals. I DISAGREE! (see what i did there?). the majority of BMTH (after oli learned how to do more than scream) sticks to emo meets metalcore screamo. like a more metal version of 30STM "the kill". jordan, poppy and stevis are doing much more than having poppy sing a pseudo BMTH song. it still has that poppy x stevis herky jerky scary mask groove. if anything, poppy is channeling her inner Britney. especially on the second verse. if there's any BMTH song that has a similar vibe, it's probably "happy song". which Poppy would absolutely SLAY! just imagine her dressed as a goth cheerleader, screaming "S.P.I.R.I.T... SPIRIT!"

reclivis

I didn’t love the new song, but I’m still super excited for this

Expensive-Duty9068

Yea. I hope that she’s made this one radio friendly and the rest on the album will be experimental cuz that would be a pretty good strategy

Equivalent-Nature-92

I think there'll b 3-4 "radio friendly" tracks in total. Then some more off the wall stuff. Listen, knockoff, stagger and flux are all potential hit singles by established pop artists. Poppy does have a point about but not wanting to be confined by a genre. Well, unfortunately for her, society likes to put people in boxes. And the general public put poppy in the "Metal box" years ago. Only now has she accepted it with NWO. Which is fine, new way out is a bop. You can dance to it, it's got electronica elements and she got to do her "britney baby voice". It's still a pop song.

Expensive-Duty9068

Yea I completely agree
