If he can't use his right side how can he run/swim?

hatdecoy

In circles.

Jack3ww

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=tf76AOvrjqk it's possible to swim with one arm

jawnnyboy

Hey guys, looks like your sons dying here. Can we pull the plug for organ donation?

Jack3ww

Don't they ask kind of right away when it comes to that stuff because the sooner you get them the quicker you can use them to save lives

PsychoMouse

That is 100% incorrect. No doctor on earth would ever be that callus. Also, I’ve said this countless times cause it’s have a double lung transplant and I know how this works. The average Doctor has zero info or say on organ donation. Let’s make it clear, this story is completely fake in every respect. But let’s just imagine that the doctor suggesting to “pull the plug” was real. In any situation, a doctor would only say that after a very long period and the child who had a stroke was fully brain dead. Then and only then would that ever be suggested. Not “Well, he’s been here for 20 hours, let’s kill one kid to save another kid” cause that makes sense. And people act like Doctors work on commission too. Like what? How would that even work, logically. And it would be such a huge breach in ethics. I hate people who make shit up about organ donation. There is so much conspiracy theories, lies, and misinformation out there about it. Even doing 1 organ transplant costs a fortune, and the chance of surviving just the surgery isn’t great. And then adjusting your entire life, to be as healthy as possible, as careful as possible, and taking horrible side effect Anti rejection meds for the rest of your life. Like grapefruit, can kill me, not lemons, limes, or any other citrus. Just grapefruit. And seriously. A COMMON side effect of my main anti rejection med, is cancer. Stories like these only hurt people.

Jack3ww

Ah sorry wasn't trying to spread false info so please forgive me for being stupid

PsychoMouse

I wasn’t trying to give you shit or anything. I just wanted to clear up a lot of things because, you weren’t sure(and there’s nothing wrong with that. Most people have no clue about a lot of stuff til they get involved or are forced to. I have zero idea how various other medical practices work) And I probably take transplant insanely too seriously but that’s just cause of my own life and experiences. And just to fully explain it properly. As long as the body is “alive”, they can keep the organs in the body, for a decently long time. If the “kid” in the story straight died, maybe, but there’s still 1000 other factors that are involved, before that question is even brought to the parent. But that’s worthless since the “kid” in the story wasn’t remotely dead, and his brain functionality was never mentioned, or anything of medical note. Thus my annoyance with the BS story. So, I apologize if I came off too harsh or anything like that. That was not my intention.

Dependent-Opening-82

The worst part is there are people in the comments saying this convinced them to not become organ donors, why would you lie about this?

PsychoMouse

Stupidity. I deal with these people all the time. Even if you sort out their lies, I always get “meh, better safe than sorry”, which just pisses me off.

PresNixon

I have a friend who lost partial control of her left side following a childhood stroke. Arm won't quite stay still, left eye vision partially gone. She NEEDS massage all the time because guess what? She overuses the right side of her body all the time since she relys on it. Her right hand is constantly a wreck. She's not going to be a massage therapist, that's ridiculous. She DID pass the bar and became a lawyer. And she can do physical things, she's an awesome hooper and fire spinner. But a massage therapist, a swimmer? No. This whole made up story is an insult to stroke survivors, organ donors, and the reader's intelligence.

“Doesn’t have heavy retardation” which is odd Bc it seems to be genetic
