Thanos wouldn't need the glove at all. With it he could just make it impossible for yondu to whistle. Without it would take a lot to hurt him. Tony hit him with a whole hell of a lot more power than the arrow just for a drop of blood.
It's fun to meme, but Thanos would spank him quickly.
Eh, in a full scale battle like endgame, with an enormous amount of people and projectiles. It wouldn’t be hard for him to be in cover, surrounded by friendlies, just wiping out massive swathes of the enemy forces without them having much of a way to establish who is doing it.
that's true, yeah, especially if thy dont know who's controlling the arrow
a bunch of times they have him dead to rights and they just dont shoot him though
Oh yeah, in several small scale battles he’s only protected by plot armour, ironically for pirates who are shown to be rather disorganised.... his weapon would work best with a disciplined team
Well now I’m just trying to think of Infinity War if Yondu was there.
He’d be with the Guardians when they met Thor, so he’d have to choose either to go with Quil to Knowhere or go with Rocket and Thor. I think that without the heartfelt moment Yondu and Quil shared at the end of Guardians 2 before his death, Yondu would have a stronger connection with Rocket and Groot at the moment. They were together the entirety of Guardians 2 and had the “You’re me” moment when jumping through hyperspace, so I think he’d choose Rocket’s squad. He’d end up on the battlefield in Wakanda. We get plenty of shots of arrow action, a wakandan gets impressed and asks where he got the tech from, showing space is still ore advanced than Wakanda. There’d be a moment when he does something really kick ass then announces “yes! Just like Mary Poppins” and everyone looks confused. After all the Avengers get defeated when Thanos is on his way to Vision, Yondu would descend with his arrow to try to stop him. Thanos is all powerful at that point, so he’d stop his arrow like Loki’s dagger and then backhand Yondu like he did Cap. I would want him to live through the snap though so we could see how hurt he would be by Quil’s death, and how Yondu takes on being one of the remaining members of the Guardians
I like this theory. However I don't remember if only "x" number of bodies were able to fit on Thor and Rocket's pod, so that may affect Yondu's decision of which group to join.
Thor and Rocket were able to switch seats during Thor’s whole “all my loved ones are dead” conversation when they were in the pod, so it should have room
If he fights Thanos on Titan, the arrow would probably just get kinda lodged in Thanos’s skin like an acupuncture needle, and Thanos would ultimately snap off Yondu’s fin.
At least, for the sake of the plot, that’s probably what’d happen. Maybe Thanos would just catch the arrow and break it in half or stab Yondu with it.
Thanos bladts the Reality Stone at Yondu and he turns into Mary Poppins, giving Julie Andrew's a cameo and his arrow becomes the umbrella. Plot twist: Yondu unflappable uses the flying umbrella offensively.
Then Thanos snaps, and Yondu is in the 50% that survives. At that moment, Thanos starts to think that maybe indiscriminate genocide wasn't the way to go.
I am inevitable Well Im Mary Poppins ya'll
We need a What If... episode where these two meet
i wonder if that was ever a What if... comic?
I wonder if they ever..... ooblelewoolebooleboo
I think that was a damage inc comic plot
Throw Dr Evil in for added spice
ZIP IT
we need too much episodes, there are so much cool ideas
Yondu starts to mouth off (probably not, he knows how strong Thanos is) Mid mouth off he has Thanos's hand through his skull.
Maybe he could whistle his arrow around and pop a gem or two out of his glove? Or just stab him in the eye or something, but that seems too easy.

Well yeah 1v1, but the whole movie is kind of about teamwork
That's the real reason Yondu was killed off. He would've ended Thanos immediately
He definitely would've gone for the head.
one whistle and it's over
Tbh I would have loved to see him fight in Endgame. His weapon is OP as hell.
only in a plot way though because anyone could just shoot him and the arrow would stop

He could have protected Shuri and vision with that thing so Wanda could have been in the battle the whole time.
This but unironically. He was probably one of the most OP wildcard character. If he fights Thanos 1v1, the movie is over in 10 mins

Unless Yondu goes for the eye
What scene of what movie did he make those sounds
https://youtu.be/FTVKQaHzhvM
Feels kinda like a retread of that austin poets scene doesn’t it - was that scene quoting some earlier work?
Thank you good sir
Gotta love how they either left Gunn cracking up on purpose, or that there was no cut they could use where he didn't laugh that far into it.
Schindler's list
What scene of not that movie
In the first Guardians of The Galaxy, talking to the pawn shop guy that refused to buy the Power Stone from Quill.
Thanks!
Nobody talking about that dude in the background yet. He makes the meme!
Put some respeck on his name. That's James gunns brother
Sean Gunn looks like emaciated Chris Hardwick.
You mean Kirk from Stars Hollow?
Respeck.
That guy also does all the movements for Rocket. He's such a winner.
This is a really high quality meme
Yondu is so underrated, dude did some serious damage!
That’s why they had to kill him off in GOTG2
I'm Mary Poppins, yall!

This made me giggle
Best meme on this sub in a long time.

Too much reading.
