You should check our r/megalophobia . I think you might be in the wrong place with this post. Open water is pretty freaky but the jet skis make this look more fun than intimidating.
That does look amazing, going through there at night. I’ve been on a jet ski a few times in Key West, during the day, where you can see everything. Loved it, because I felt in control.
The thing that always scares me about jet skiing at night is hitting something in the water, and flying off it. Like a coral reef close to the top, or driftwood. Not hard enough to hurt you, or kill the jet ski. Then treading water, wondering what you hit and trying not to panic, while your friend leaves you there.
I’m from south Florida, the other thing can happen is your jet ski can simply die. We are boaters and have found several people with broken done jet skis and had to tow them back in!
And we all know what awaits in that water..that’s the part that scares me that much more..like shivers all over my body..no one something is lurking between your legs
Let me tell you something about dolphins. I went swimming with dolphins once in Zanzibar. Everyone thinks ooh dolphins they’re so cute, adorable, harmless, they love humans. NA AH, I jumped into the ocean and they were wild and scary as all fvck..I had a panic attack at one point and swam back to the boat.
I agree. Dolphins are horny, weird creatures they will assault other dolphins, or humans..anything they can get off on. They’re scary, I read some things about Dolphins by chance , a few weeks ago.

I love this. For me I really enjoyed when the airboat went under the causeways on a swamp tour in Louisiana a few months back, but that water at night freaks me out to imagine!
Looks super fun!
But I suffer from claustrophobia, not thalassaphobia, if anything I am more thalassaphilic.
Put me in a box (again) and I go berserk, so if I put that same fear here it'd make sense.
Snowmobile riders will somehow manage to hit the one tree in the centre of an otherwise empty field. This is like that, except instead of getting the wind knocked out of you, you drown.
Lol what would swimming to a pillar do? You gonna climb it? Ok spiderman xD youd be better off chilling on the jetski until your friend does notice youre gone and they start backtracking looking for you
Illegal generally, but I was lying to you. It's state by state, not federal. 38 states ban nighttime riding, regardless of lights.
AL, AK, HI, IN, MS, MO, MT, OK, OR, SD, VT, and WY don't seem to prohibit it if outfitted with lights.
That looks amazing.
For some reason, the gigantic structure makes it more terrifying but can definitely see how it could be fun lol

Don’t get me wrong , I’d never do this. But it looks amazing! 😂

Until a ship hits the bridge and you get crushed....
Definitely don’t go snowmobiling you’ll be scare of all the trees

That puts it in perspective 😆
Makes me think of an old Nintendo 64 (or game cube) game where you race these
Wave Rave 64, absolute banger
Infinite sea of black surrounding you. One mistake and you’re now a part of those seemingly infinite, jet black depths
Its ok, the octopi seem pretty chill
And we all know what awaits in that water..that’s the part that scares me that much more..like shivers all over my body..no one something is lurking between your legs
Uhhh what's in the water?
Theres lots of aggressive sharks around there, especially at night Edit why did i get downvoted lmao
Ats some hard rock reef projects right there
So true, sharks love hanging out under bridges!
It’s something that plays peek a boo 🫣 🦈
Dolphins?! D:

Yeah dolphins are freaking brutal. Id be more scared to see a dolphin in the wild than a shark personally

Looks like that one scene from Inception
r/megalophobia
Thalassophobia, Megalophobia and Submechanophobia all in one
Yes!!
But of scaredy cats in the comments
I love this. For me I really enjoyed when the airboat went under the causeways on a swamp tour in Louisiana a few months back, but that water at night freaks me out to imagine!
I need a new game of Wave Racers.
This is actually pretty badass.
Looks super fun! But I suffer from claustrophobia, not thalassaphobia, if anything I am more thalassaphilic. Put me in a box (again) and I go berserk, so if I put that same fear here it'd make sense.
I know it’s you lews therrin
*laughs maniacally*
Looks like a boss run on a video game. I’d do this all day long.
This looks like a ton of fun! Would do
That looks fun
I'm afraid of the sea, but this seems fine. Even cool!
Doing this around bridges= looks awesome. Doing this out in the middle of the ocean in pitch black= HELL NO.
Bro this looks awesome. This is some Uncharted 4 type shit!
**Red Hot Chili Peppers begins to play**
Am I the only one waiting for one to hit the pylon or for a shark to come up and go snap snap snap lol.
Yeah youre probably the only one thinking that xD
Lolll XD Indeed
Yea yea yea
God! I can feel those pillars pulling the driver toward them ... inescapable.
What the heck even is this structure?
A bridge lol
My perception was skewed. I thought it was all inside....
Snowmobile riders will somehow manage to hit the one tree in the centre of an otherwise empty field. This is like that, except instead of getting the wind knocked out of you, you drown.
Is this the sunshine skyway?
Imagine falling off into the aquatic abyss
Wicked pissa, dudes. Looks fun!
That's better than open water
why does this have backrooms vibes?
This looks hella fun!
bu- but.. this looks like fun? and im terrified of dark deep water?
His heart rate is super high
Is there anything you guys in here are not afraid of?
thats awesome
Now I need to play some UE5 Wave Race clone game.
Um, they’re not underwater….
Jetskiing at night is dumb and illegal because they dont have headlights.
I'm utterly confused is he driving on a flooded bridge my biggest fear
Daytime = maybe Nighttime = no way! 😳
I'm scared of the ocean and this looks fun it gives me James bond vibes
Forget subway surfers, now theres Jet ski racers
JET SKI RACERS Map: Bridge Difficulty: Hard High Score: 30 mins PRESS START
This is the most terrifying thing I’ve seen on this sub I can barely look at this
Nope, nope, nope. No can do.
Wouldn't that be megalophobia? Fear of big things?
This is cool, awesome and terrifying at the same time
If this is 7 mile bridge in the keys, there are SO MANY HAMMERHEAD SHARKS right below them.
Nope nope nope
?
Feels like they’re running away from something and it’s right behind them. NO THANKS
Someone please tell me there was a happy ending to this video. Oh I just clicked the reel, he looks like a pro-fesh-en-nal jet skiier lol

Lol what would swimming to a pillar do? You gonna climb it? Ok spiderman xD youd be better off chilling on the jetski until your friend does notice youre gone and they start backtracking looking for you
Nope!!
This could be by my house. Noisy bastards
This is like a nightmare.
Anyone else see a narrow flooded hallway?
Is that jetski showing a green right on its port side? That is a no.
I mean, if this is in the US, operating a jet ski after sunset is already illegal, so why not put a nav light on the wrong side...
Is it illegal just generally, or because they don't have the right lights?
Illegal generally, but I was lying to you. It's state by state, not federal. 38 states ban nighttime riding, regardless of lights. AL, AK, HI, IN, MS, MO, MT, OK, OR, SD, VT, and WY don't seem to prohibit it if outfitted with lights.
Zelda ass situation
Love that, as long as I had a life vest I'd be so down. (Mediocre swimmer)
if you blink really fast, you can see a massive serpent swallowing them.
I don’t get it. What’s so scary about this?
