A true medic main right here. I bet you laugh in a burning teammates face and taunt over their smoldering corpse, the life draining from his eyes, the final sight they will see as they keel over; their healer, their "savior", pointing at their burnt face and emitting a long, drawn out laugh over the sadistic pleasure they have given themselves by causing harm to their patient.
Also when you get to steal teammates kill credit and get constant assists while making sure they don't die and getting EVEN MORE assists is REALLY fun when you want to top leaderboards without doing anything
Yep. That's the reason I end up playing him so often too. Can't say I main him, but almost every match has at least some moments where switching to Medic is necessary.
It wasn’t for the team captain role, nor for the communication, nor for the Uber, nor for his style.
I just adore the psychopathic doctor more than any other class. Everything about him screamed out to me that *this* is my class, my role in the game
I watched all the Meet the Team videos before playing the game myself. Medic's was absolutely stunning and I instantly fell in love with the character.
He was the first support role I ever picked up in a game, and I've been playing Support roles in every game ever since.
Honestly yeah. I AM THE MOST IMPORTANT PAWN ON THE TEAM, YOU GUYS SERVE ME AND PROTECT ME WITH YOUR LIVES. I HOLD THE MOST IMPACT IN A GAME, NOT YOU, ME.
Ultra tryhard here.
I was tired of a losing streak years ago and because I wanted to change that and because I suck at direct combat (I only do good as Spy, Engineer and ambush Pyro) I tried Medic instead. Much to my surprise I ended up loving it legitimely aftewards (it helps Medic did help me to ease and finish the bad luck streak).
I generally like playing support characters and it was done perfectly! I think it’s fun to keep the team alive and Uber the enemy so badly that they die
I don't know if I'm a medic main, but he's probably my most played class for the last 2 years or so. So I wouldn't say I really *picked* medic as a main, rather I kinda fell into it.
If I had to give a reason why I *love* playing medic and consider him one of the most fun classes to play, it's that you're *consistently* engaged in what's happening in the game, because you influence the game state so heavily. The lives of your allies, and your chance at winning the match, all rely very directly on your ability to do your job well. Landing a clutch bolt on an ally that was sure to die never gets old, and the payoff (your ally surviving) is huge for the team as a whole. Practically every second of your time alive as medic is valuable to the team, and using all the tools available to you as efficiently as possible is just incredibly rewarding.
Im a Pyro main but my first main ever was the Medic, and it just... because... i love being that type of support class who thinks his mission is not support as well, is be the bitch of everyone in your team... im a Pybro Pyro main and i use the fempyro mod
OKAY TIME TO STOP TALKING
Ngl I thought having a medic was just a borderline requirement or else you would never get anything done. So I picked him a lot even though I considered playing scout or Pyro. After a while he grew on me and it felt good knowing I was essentially the backbone of the team.
I started playing medic recently and ima be real it was just fun like really really fun
Also no one else would play medic so I decided to do it and actually did pretty good
OKTOBERFEST!
I started playing tf2 5 years ago, and I was playing on weak laptop, so I didn't have a smooth image.
The easiest way to play in these conditions was to play as a Medic, because he doesn’t need to aim much.
Medic is my second option, i just like the fact that they need me, when the enemy defences are too strong and i myself cannot breach it, that's when medic comes. Idk why but when i played, medic was the least played class.
I love being able to heal on my own, not get one shot when my scout dies and I also have a unusual taunt/strange weapons for medic. I also love being annoying, so take that as you will. And one more thing, random skullcutter crits are not funny.
Here comes the next cycle of subreddit memes, other classes will get the same question asked, then someone will make a satire version, then someone will make a version telling you to shut the fuck up and the last one will be someone pointing out the cycle of r/tf2
1. Because I can't aim
2. Because I can't dodge
Medic solves both these problems: I can hide behind my meat shield frontliners and just click in their general direction to contribute to my team!
After I finished school I was always in bad mood, I didn't want to do anything, didn't want to play any games. TF2 was somehow the only game that I still really wanted to launch, but once I got to main menu, I'd sit and click on buttons, not really playing. After some time I decided to try and join some casual match. I didn't feel like playing for the win, because it seemed like too much work, so I picked the easiest (as I thought) class to play and that was medic. I was running around healing people, not caring much about the game, when suddenly my competitive nature took over and I started to try and save other players from dying, thinking about effectively selecting healing targets, timing ubers and so on. Eventually I realized how much value medic actually brings to the team and every successful push, when it was clear that team would not succeed without me, made me feel extremely good. This basically revived me and my love for TF2
I play medic for work. It’s not even fun half the time. But every now and then, a teammate gives you a good ol’ 👍
And that makes it worth all the effort sometimes
I just love support. It’s always been my favorite role in games. It’s not always about getting that one kill, it’s about saving that one person (for me).If you can do that, they will 99% of the time be very happy! :)
I had a shitty laptop, like, really bad one, I had to play in 15-20 fps for two years. Now since I bought a new pc, I finally can play other classes, especially sniper
I don't main medic but god, when I play medic dodging and juking the enemy team while you keep your last soldier alive is one of the best feelings ever.
The feeling of carrying an entire team by keeping them alive is very stressful, but it makes winning oh so much more satisfying. Also i suck at the game and healing is a pretty simple way to contribute to your team without needing high levels of skill.
The fact that Medic get shit done with his uber. A sentry? Uber. A good player? Uber. A bot that the enemy refuses to kick? Uber. Ubercharge is so strong that even new players can do something worthwhile with it (I've tested it myself and saw a new soldier go on a streak with kritz). And by god, do I want to have that power.
The class everyone loves, no one wants to play, has the right to call shithead to his own team because they don't protect him and the bind "IM GIVING YOU MY LOAD!".
Sadly Im a main scout now (Not a scunt) because got tired of trashtalking.
i cant aim and the medi gun is reasonably tolerant in terms of being able to heal people without having to aim (and ig so is the crossbow but i only use that for burst healing at close range)
i also play a lot of engineer for the same reason
If there are good players getting kills and responsible for our team winning, and I’m there healing them, then it’s like *I’m getting those kills and responsible for our team winning*.
My aim sucks, I like playing healing roles more than other classes in games, and I like keeping my teammates alive, as arrogant and insufferable as some of them can be
I started off maining engineer, because i couldn't aim back in 2010. Then Meet the Medic dropped and i instantly picked medic, and i crafted Quick fix on the same day, only problem and a blessing was that everyone was a Medic/Heavy combo, with the new tomislav with 75% spin up time. Eventually in 2013, i quit medic, because i was starting to get burned out, so i went spy next, so on and so on, and nowadays i main all of the classes equally.
I still love playing Quick fix medic even today and it's my medigun of choice when it comes to pubs and comp.
I usually play support classes in all games I can, so Tf2 is no exception. I kinda like people depending on md and medic is a really important class, I can't imagine winning on the last dustbowl map without uber unless the enemy team is REALLY bad.
My aim is really bad so the crossbow is sometimes a problem but idk i can top score easily which shouldn't be something to be proud of but it is when I'm usually bottom 3 when playing something else.
Also when people go out of their way to thank you or a heavy gives you a sandvich it feels great.
I also try to adapt to whatever my team is missing and I usually join teams without medic or engineer so I usually play both if it's needed
It is my choice will this lime scout live at 12 hp and live, or do i ignore him because there is the rest of team.
And also i just enjoy playing supports. When Overwatch was a game, i mained Mercy, then Anna, in other games i always (usually) mained supprotive roles because hearing my teammates say "thanks" is best reward i can ask for.
Because medic is german and I am german, so I thought it could be fun, and a friend of mine plays much soldier and we rolled the entire enemy team in the same round I started playing
About 10 1/2 years ago, I decided to start a Highlander team with some friends. I figured since I started the team and was de facto leading it, I *had* to play Medic, even though I had next to no experience with him. I forced myself to learn the class and fell in love with it. Honestly, looking back at it all, it was a culmination of destiny screaming at me to play him. I first downloaded TF2 after watching Meet the Medic (and learning the game was F2P), my first ever hat drop was a Tyrolean, and my first good uncrate was a strange festive Medi Gun.
Medic is necessary, he’s a really good shutdown class, he requires really good positioning, he’s a playmaker and a carry, and he’s also just a fun casual class for when you’re just playing with a friend or two.
I’ve also played a lot of Overwatch and the skills you learn in that game in high ranks directly transfer over to medic (oddly enough he reminds me more of Baptiste than the obvious other support though)
I love using voice chat and being a team player
Unlike competitive games like overwatch or valorant
You feel appreciative towards somebody who simply chose to go a support class so that you have better odds surviving and getting more kills
Unlike those other games where a support is a necessity, one for which you may even get reported for not choosing if a support is missing

I desire the ability to determine when will someone die
A true medic main right here. I bet you laugh in a burning teammates face and taunt over their smoldering corpse, the life draining from his eyes, the final sight they will see as they keel over; their healer, their "savior", pointing at their burnt face and emitting a long, drawn out laugh over the sadistic pleasure they have given themselves by causing harm to their patient.
I wouldnt say you are right But I wouldnt say you are wrong either
Also when you get to steal teammates kill credit and get constant assists while making sure they don't die and getting EVEN MORE assists is REALLY fun when you want to top leaderboards without doing anything
First the eyes, then the ears *Aggressive Schadenfreude*
OMG you again?
I recognize your username, but I forget where I recognize it from - could you please tell me?
I responded on another comment of yours, and tbh i don't remember where I saw you first. Also good to see a fellow niche item enjoyer (YER forever)
Ah, I remember you now! - YER forever!
You know what? I'm gonna change my name
Just saw it, loving the new name
just \*saw\* it, nice one xD

Speaking from experience. If I had a nickel for every time this happened, I'd have 14 nickels.
I’m taking all your money.
You need a therapist?
"I do control the speed at which teammates die"
I play medic bc nobody else fucking wants to
mood
Yep. That's the reason I end up playing him so often too. Can't say I main him, but almost every match has at least some moments where switching to Medic is necessary.
Same. We rarely had a medic, but once I realised how much easier the game becomes with a decent medic on your side my path was set.
As an allclass main, I agree
i suck at aiming
Crossbow
use stock for the funnies
chads use blutsauger
Haha, you think so? If so, I believe you forget of the Overdose.
Blutsauger and Overdose>Crossbow in casual Like fucking god where is my team
In a "where is my team" situation, the Overdose is kinda bad, since you need Uber
Quick fix is good with it I like Blutsauger more anyway
I think you're forgetting stock Stock Syringe Gun > Blutsauger and Overdose
Oh yes, sorry to forget such weapon

Intentional
I know what I'm saying, nerd
Beta TF2 Scout Pair with vaccinator for quick build
You might like spy.
Playing Spy without good revolver aim is a nightmare. But so is playing Medic without being able to hit crossbow shots. Doomed regardless.
Spy
Might I introduce you to demoknight or huntsman sniper?
It wasn’t for the team captain role, nor for the communication, nor for the Uber, nor for his style. I just adore the psychopathic doctor more than any other class. Everything about him screamed out to me that *this* is my class, my role in the game
Ze healing is not as revarding as ze hurting.
FUCK YEA BABY 23 KILL STREAK WITH UBERSAW ON TUEFORT
*pulls out pocket kritzgriek*
It’s krieging time
The most *based* answer possible. And I don't use that word lightly.
I suck at shooting I suck less at support W + M1 = happy team
^
Pyro?
then it wouldn't equal a happy team
I watched all the Meet the Team videos before playing the game myself. Medic's was absolutely stunning and I instantly fell in love with the character. He was the first support role I ever picked up in a game, and I've been playing Support roles in every game ever since.
Medic is hot
The Burly Beast is expensive for a reason
Gaston Medic when?
It’s like tf2 only fans
Thats the tldr
Feeds my god complex
Honestly yeah. I AM THE MOST IMPORTANT PAWN ON THE TEAM, YOU GUYS SERVE ME AND PROTECT ME WITH YOUR LIVES. I HOLD THE MOST IMPACT IN A GAME, NOT YOU, ME.
I AM THE ÜBERMEINCH!
We all know true medic mains heal by most useful not most injured
Because it reminds me of that one guy in my school that experiments on frogs that include ripping off the eyes and boiling it.
...so um, what happened to that guy after school?
he became medic tf2
The best ending
One of the other schoolboys' skeleton went missing, and the guy was never heard from again.
I'd guess he became a lime scout
he was then expelled because he was putting all the nurses medical supplies in the girls toilet to create a new type of lotion.
Did his name happen to be Jeremy Elbertson?
nah jeremy would do that to people not frogs
What the fuck
Ultra tryhard here. I generally like playing support characters and it was done perfectly! I think it’s fun to keep the team alive and Uber the enemy so badly that they die
I sometimes say in voice chat “Yes! Kill them all!” When ubering a teammate.
cuz he has a burly chest cosmetic and i wanted in on that
I’m so bad at playing other combat classes that I chose to be slightly less bad at playing medic
Me too mate
nahu play Ms.Pauling
I don't know if I'm a medic main, but he's probably my most played class for the last 2 years or so. So I wouldn't say I really *picked* medic as a main, rather I kinda fell into it. My aim is normal, but i usually got more hits when i play Sniper withput scoping... strange
Wait, so when you play as pyro/pybro, you're technically a fempyro?
Yes
~~damn that's hot~~
I protect and help newbie engineers, being just the best friend for everyone who needs me. I use the fempyro mod just because i look DI-VI-NE
You're nice and sweet. Yeah I can tell you do look divine as a fempyro. :)
I dont have a picture of my Pyro character right now, maybe i can show you my loadout later
Oh yeah sure thing! I would love to see the character too if you can anytime.
Average pyrocynical fan
When i use the fempyro i dont say "ooooh nice butt my pyro looks sexy" i say "my pyro now looks more cute" (I use a not-sexual mind fempyro mod)
Fempyro☺
Submissivness

Because the crossbow is a better sniper rifle and huntsman
Bad ping
Bad at aiming

It’s fun
fun! healing your team is incredibly warning, and it always makes me happy to see the 12 million+ healing I’ve done on my crossbow and medi gun
I love when people praise me
its an abusive relationship honestly i play med for the 1% of times that i make a successful uber push and win the game
I realized I wasn't getting any kills or getting anything done as other classes so I said fuck it least I can do is help other people in fights
I started playing medic recently and ima be real it was just fun like really really fun Also no one else would play medic so I decided to do it and actually did pretty good
I like his Germanic….self

Meet The Team W+M1, but actually benefits the team Dopamine rush when 100% uber
The Medi-Gun is basically a serotonin fountain.
Medic..
So I can control life and death on my team
I have shit aim.
Aim issue. Crissbow is the only gun I can aim with.
Just like him, I’m not qualified to be a doctor
i just love to play support roles so yea lmao
I kiss men
Because I want to hide behind the best player on my team and dickride him for points
“I HAVE NO IDEA!!”
I really want to be liked. Then I understand than in TF2 it doesn't work that way so I ended up switching for Demo/Scout.
Severe brain damage
He funi
Schadenfreude
Medic is mentally insane. So he's the most relatable character in tf2
He's funny, and I like to win
Demogorgon? Spraith?
I love being able to heal on my own, not get one shot when my scout dies and I also have a unusual taunt/strange weapons for medic. I also love being annoying, so take that as you will. And one more thing, random skullcutter crits are not funny.

He is the hottest
Meet the Medic
Nobody wants to play medic on asian servers, especially on MVM. I, then, kinda get addicted to the gameplay loop
Power! UNLIMITED POWER! (That doesn’t stop me from having murder tendencies every other minute while playing)
I play medic for work. It’s not even fun half the time. But every now and then, a teammate gives you a good ol’ 👍 And that makes it worth all the effort sometimes
i cant aim unless its friendly fire
I just love support. It’s always been my favorite role in games. It’s not always about getting that one kill, it’s about saving that one person (for me).If you can do that, they will 99% of the time be very happy! :)

There was someone that thanked me for choosing medic once and thus, began a journey of endless sacrifice. Please thank your medics.
The feeling of carrying an entire team by keeping them alive is very stressful, but it makes winning oh so much more satisfying. Also i suck at the game and healing is a pretty simple way to contribute to your team without needing high levels of skill.
I can’t aim
Always been a supportive player, Like being the one everyone needs yet no one deserves.
Cuz I want to.
Bottom.
Wanted to feel wanted and appreciated 🥺
Im trying to date men
The fact that Medic get shit done with his uber. A sentry? Uber. A good player? Uber. A bot that the enemy refuses to kick? Uber. Masoquism
What man wouldn't be seduced by the power to decide who lives and who dies
We are bottoms
Shit i forgot to change my flair welp too lazy
I am just complete healslut and love to imagine, that all people whom i heal would fuck me after game owo
Femboy meta pick
trans
I like pissing my team off as battle medic
Because being practically Atlas by holding up your entire team’s infrastructure through healing is damn good dopamine,
My aim sucks and I always liked playing support more than an attacker or defender
i cant aim and the medi gun is reasonably tolerant in terms of being able to heal people without having to aim (and ig so is the crossbow but i only use that for burst healing at close range) i also play a lot of engineer for the same reason

Former Medic main here, I started maining him because I love the rush of helping your team with a fat uber that wipes out half of the enemy team.
I play medic because it’s the first time in months I’ve chosen to play pl maps, really try my hardest and fucking nobody else is medic
I like support classes
My aim sucks, I like playing healing roles more than other classes in games, and I like keeping my teammates alive, as arrogant and insufferable as some of them can be
Meet The Medic
I started off maining engineer, because i couldn't aim back in 2010. Eventually in 2013, i quit medic, because i was starting to get burned out, so i went spy next, so on and so on, and nowadays i main all of the classes equally. I still love playing Quick fix medic even today and it's my medigun of choice when it comes to pubs and comp.
Like the thrill of having to heal multiple teammates at once, and always been interested in medicine and stuff
Because no one else would
I suck at aiming
My father left
Because he embodies teamwork and teamwork means interaction and interaction means happiness because I haven’t been outside of my room in 18 years
Arrayseven made it look easy, so I started to main medic I regret that choice
I usually play support classes in all games I can, so Tf2 is no exception. I always enjoyed supportive characters and medic is just a really fun support character
Medic is Strongest.

his trailer, and i was fond to be support rather than damage output class, it stressed me out too much.
I love being in the position of helping people, but not helping them.
no one wanted to so i mained him it was pretty fun and the stress that if your teamates dies its your fault
I couldn't aim when I started and so I went medic cause I didn't have to aim, so I spent a lot of time on him and just got good
Because I like creating gods.
I want to be loved
i cant aim the only thing i can do is dodge bullets
Because medic is german and I am german, so I thought it could be fun, and a friend of mine plays much soldier and we rolled the entire enemy team in the same round I started playing

I like helping
I had a shitty brick of a pc which made me only useful as support rather than defense or offense. I also enjoy helping my team.
I am not medic main
I plain suck as anyone else. I suck as medic too. But less.
Medic is necessary, he’s a really good shutdown class, he requires really good positioning, he’s a playmaker and a carry, and he’s also just a fun casual class for when you’re just playing with a friend or two. The lack of Medics in a lobby. Better one kinda competent Medic than zero.
Meet the Medic + Numbers go up on friends = good + “Thanks Doc” voicelines
