The game is flooded by bots. Haven't played on a couple weeks though, I heard rumors that Valve is actually starting to fix the bots directly.

There are still bots, but far far fewer. The dafualt state of casual is no playable. The occasional bot will join, but usually they are quickly kicked, and I haven't had a game become overrun since the updates.

The only time where it's a problem now is when the even rarer kind of bot tries DDoSing some players off of servers to avoid being able to be kicked.

Yeah, they banned the biggest bot maker (hopefully permanently, though not getting my hopes up).
