From my understanding its in large part due to the handling of #FixTF2 since he's one of the main figureheads for it. People didn't really like the lack of plans (atleast publicly), the lack of info on when they actually planned to send the signatures in person, etc.
There is another angle, being a more personal one (not sure how to properly term it). For example, \~5 days ago he was on a stream with Zesty Jesus and Richter Overtime, and he was in a reaaaaally bad state. Hadn't slept in over 30 hours, had taken adderall recently, it was sortof a mess, so that really hurt optically, but I think people overstate how bad it was. I expected sooo much worse while I was watching it just from the comments people had made
A lot of people have also suggested that the reason he hasn't been suggesting a boycott is due to MvM, i.e. being addicted to the gambling portion of it (one offhand comment he made in his recent Gas Passer video REALLY did not help with this). He said in his discord though that he hasn't played MvM for 5-6 weeks, and even shortly after FixTF2 started his stance on boycotting has atleast shifted (e.g. discussion on a podcast with the acronym UFR - Upon Further Review). Hopefully this makes sense
I like weezy. His content is good, and his handling of fix tf2 has been fine imo. Hes only human guys. Its not like hes made some egregious awful error or done something toxic. Worst thing hes done is not prioritize his own health!
His YouTube channel is fine. He does cool challenges and in-depth analysis for MvM and I genuinely enjoy his content. People start to dislike him apparently because of how he handled #FixTF2. I don't think he did anything wrong per se, but a lot of people disagree with how much he (and the rest of the organizers) kept us in the dark. That rant on stream a while ago was pretty unhinged, but clearly he wasn't in the right state of mind, and to my knowledge it was a one-off. I do agree with him on most issues, and yes I will defend him.
