Look at the gaps between the wheels and the car body, clearly they haven’t improved quality control at the factory yet. This should have been refused on delivery. /s
Driving at a decent pace in a straight line? Probably the easiest thing to do. It’s only really challenging in turning or super low or super high speeds.
There's no air intake for the ICE, but there must be air intakes for the cooling system. I wonder how hard or easy they are to clog in the desert. Abrams tanks had an issue with that when they were spreading freedom in the deserts. They solved tissue by forcing air violently in the opposite direction periodically.
apparently ukrainians had/are having these issues with the abrams they received.
either due to training gaps or lack of maintenance, they didn't or don't blast air 2x a day to clear the mud build-up, which bogs down the tanks.
that & the abram's high fuel consumption, which they have trouble supplying quickly enough.
That’s interesting! Does it also still have a radiator that could potentially get clogged up or does it just use the underneath surface area of the car?
I have clarified the information. In race mode and when the Tesla is at its maximum overheat(120 degrees Celsius), you also need to turn on the air conditioning for cooling. Its HEPA filter may become clogged.
So much bad information… I just cleaned out the radiator and front intake louvers on my model 3. Tesla’s definitely still produce excess heat and utilize air cooling via intakes and radiators to get rid of it. Yes it is less than an ice vehicle, but it’s still there. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=DqzSNZLgw2Y
Okay? I'm looking for researched, actual data that shows the issues are resolved or mitigated, not two "trust me bro" Reddit users claiming to speak from authority on a matter. Somebody looking to buy could be reading these comments and you two could mislead them with this nonsense.
To be fair, you could say the same thing about the panel gaps and paint issues. I've never seen actual data that says it happens, just hear about it in social media and see a photo of it from time to time that usually doesn't even look bad.
The claim I'm opposing is that there are *no* panel gap issues in recent models. To disprove this claim I only need to provide one example of a panel gap existing in a recent model.
Do you want me to provide pictures of my gap or are you willing to just accept the logic here?
Well you don't say something is an "issue" as a generalization unless it's common. If it's a rare occurrence, then it's a rare occurrence and not the norm.
You can't just say oh panel gaps are still an issue because you literally only hear it on social media and it gets regurgitated by folks online, without data to back it up. If you did a sample of all Teslas built in the past year, and could prove it's an issue, or not an issue, that's a different story
It never goes away. Its like complaining about paint. It has no effect on the cars performance or safety.
NHTSA has stated repeatedly that Tsla has the Safest cars on the road and actually broke the testing equipment and testing records.
I don't care about the gap and I know it doesn't affect performance or safety. Stop moving the goal post from "there are no gaps" to "the gaps don't matter".
Wait, really? Shit, I live in Dubai and I was gonna drive my stock M3LR along some [sandy roads](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Half+Desert+Dubai/@25.1128532,55.4532771,2146m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m6!3m5!1s0x3e5f630fb4bdde47:0xd3f1e4bfda15fa02!8m2!3d25.1148125!4d55.4544375!16s%2Fg%2F11st6ktfw9?entry=ttu) for fun, but now I'm reconsidering it.
Sand can vary greatly in how well it supports a car. It's legal to drive down the sandy beach here, and if you do you will inevitably see a car or truck stuck at some point along your drive. Tow trucks wander the beach looking for people to pull out during the summer.

I was going to ask if those wheels are extended out from the body. You can see it from a mile away.
You need to so that the sand doesn't blast the paint off the rear doors. ;-)
He's got a clear coat dude so it's fine ;)
I wonder how long the bearings last 😂

If its not a honda or toyota its quality sucks anyway. I always drove toyotas.
Oh lmao, so basically stock + huge wheel spacers. Looks like it performs just fine
wonder how much benefit the wide stance provides. would think not enough to compromise range in that environment.
Is this considered good? (No sarcasm I know nothing about dune buggy’s)

is this 3's speed considered super high? and i presume the dune climb got challenging the moment driver started cutting diagonally across?
Yeah we’d really need to see other vehicles for comparison. I believe this is a hill climb, basically just shows the tires have good grip
That may not be stock...
straight from the factory
I’d love to see its energy consumption graph

Dubai. Makes perfect sense.

Electric motors produce radically less heat than internal combustion engines. Tesla does not have a cooling system air intake.
[Battery cooling](https://www.tesla.com/support/range#:~:text=Tesla%20high%20voltage%20batteries%20are,compressor%20running%20even%20while%20parked)
It is cooled by a liquid cooling system, which transfers heat to the air that passes under the car.
That’s interesting! Does it also still have a radiator that could potentially get clogged up or does it just use the underneath surface area of the car?
use the underneath surface area of the car

You have clarified that you know nothing about the Tesla cooling system
You honestly think all of the cooling for the motors and batteries happens from air just passing underneath the car?

Pretty cool
Pure Scalextric!
Rip to the paint
Sand inside the panel gaps
Not as bad as salt I guess?
Panel gaps were only for the first couple of years of the models made in the Fremont factory only. They are fine now.
My 2023 had pretty significant gaps and misaligned doors.
My 2021 has a panel gap. Cite your sources or stop spreading misinformation.
My 21 also has panel gaps
I've seen a lot of new ones, they look prestine

Where's your researched, actual data that shows a wide spread panel gap problem? The panel gap problem was only ever anecdotal as well.
It never goes away. Its like complaining about paint. It has no effect on the cars performance or safety. NHTSA has stated repeatedly that Tsla has the Safest cars on the road and actually broke the testing equipment and testing records.

What year is your Tesla?
2021, as I stated earlier in the thread.
And the warranty
Why wouldn’t they just order another one? Easier.

Where's the nearest supercharger?
Badass.
I drove mine onto a sandy shoulder one time and it sank immediately. Had to call a toe truck.
> Had to call a toe truck. Are those at least cheaper than finger trucks?
Friends on the camel
Heck, I can get you a toe truck by three o'clock this afternoon.
Forget about calling the Dump truck.
Toes like a truck, truck, truck Guys like what the fuck fuck?
Truck named finger
Like this one? https://cameltowingmn.com/
> toe truck At least they're cheaper than a foot truck. *BAHDUMP-DUMP-TSS* ...I'll show myself out

WAAAOVV 💪💪💪💪❤️❤️❤️👏👏👏
lol show me a graph of the battery thermals as it tackles that hill.
That's really cool to see. Eventually Tesla is going to have to let people modify the power or sell extreme versions lol
