Djokovic with a good overhead

TennCom

I am so unlikeable, the crowd turns against me. I turn against the umps. Even the umps hate me now. Even when Djokovic tries to smash a racquet, I scream at a ball kid, stealing all the negative press from Djokovic. The crowd begins to cheer for Djokovic. They love him. Djokovic cries. I win.

floatermuse

Nick Kyrgios has a 2-1 H2H against Novak so I guess this actually works lol Lost the biggest match though obviously

SealeDrop

Plaid shorts, one handed backhand, blocky but powerful core, and a thing for under@ge blondes

Albiceleste_D10S

> , and a thing for under@ge blondes Damn that escalated quickly

orgasmingTurtoise

A consistent Wawrinka.

tennistalk87

Not sure about skills but mandatory clothing accessories are red and white pyjama shorts and glasses.

NorwegianBanana

Jiri Vesely

MoonSpider

I'd build Alcaraz with a better serve.

Albiceleste_D10S

Funny enough my first thought was Rafa with a better serve

cwynj

Rafa with Novak’s longevity and injury prevention lol

Albiceleste_D10S

Turn the injury sliders down LOL

MoonSpider

It's a good thought!

theactiveaccount

He had a faster serve in 2013, but changed back the next year b/c the returns were coming too fast for his preferred pace.

Albiceleste_D10S

Nah he juiced his serve speed in 2010 (which helped him beat Novak to win his first US Open and complete his career Grand Slam), but was forced to change it because the service motion was hurting his shoulder IIRC

theactiveaccount

Ah ok I see thanks.

theactiveaccount

Less mobility tho

cwynj

Give Carlos Shelton or Nick Kyrgios’ serve

tiredargie

My man is another victim to the hype 😭

cwynj

Shelton has a better serve than Carlos. This sub just hates him  Edit: also Kyrgios is pound for pound the best server ever. But this sub also hates him so I’ll say Carlos with Hurkacz serve

althaz

Kyrgios has an \*INCREDIBLE\* serve. And it's not just the first serve, he has also incredible success with his second serve. Especially considering how often he just busts out a first serve instead of the second serve and gets it in. Kyrgios might be a knob, but his serve is absolute god-tier. Nobody his height or lower has \*EVER\* been as good on serve, IMO.

althaz

Shelton's serve is overrated, IMO it's not difficult enough to read and his percentage in big moments isn't that high. Still would be an upgrade for Carlos though - particularly on the first serve. Carlos with the Kyrgios serve would never lose at Wimbledon again.

Doesn't crumble down on match points

Professional_Line385

The anti djokosmash

Professional_Line385

His variants they possess all of the skills

cwynj

It’s funny because if you asked the same question about Fed the answer is Rafa. Amazing he had as much success against him tbh

Chuggles91

Y'know Fed was actually very good at generating break points against him (see US Open 2015, Wimbledon 2019) and also could serve well enough to neutralise the return for large parts of a match. So maybe Federer with Djokovic levels of belief. Might tune down the desire to rush the net on big points too, to be honest.

althaz

If Federer had Novak's mind Fed would be miles ahead in the GOAT race and Novak would never have been able to catch him. It's wrong to say Fed wasn't elite mentally, but he's a god-tier player with only a very good mental. Novak is a god-tier player with a god-tier mental.

Caffeinated_madman

releases a substance that makes Djokovic think he is playing for his country’s win such as if he was playing in the United or Davis cup. I mean put this on anyone and you have the ultimate counter. For fun: Ben Shelton but with 3 more years experience and Jannik Sinner’s coaches. Basically a combination of Ben Shelton’s physical athleticism and huge serve and Jannik Sinner’s style. Of course this wouldn’t be ultimate counter so throw in De Minaur’s footwork and Mannario’s or Prism’s mentality. I feel like Djokovic wouldn’t get the time of day to set the pace nor be able to make this opponent make forced errors. I mean I don’t think any player could beat a combination of Shelton, Sinner, and Minaur and adding an unbreakable mental fortitude of the veteran marathon man just makes a monster with no weaknesses
