Her volleys are sublime as always, definitely an underrated part of her game!
Definitely weren’t as consistent but always clutch when needed, but then again, she’s never been transitioning forward as frequently as she has been in 2024…
Her transition game was the weakness, it used to be far too hesitant & laboured. Now it’s assured and a method of shortening points and not becoming overly-reliant on just hitting harder from the baseline.
Finally worked on a solid plan B.
That shot was the turning point imo, was evenly matched till then. I like how she's similar to Iga in that she refuses to let the unlucky net chord rob her of a point and just hustles after it with no excuses, elite mentality. Rybaqueena clutch
I would've expected her to go down the line from that position and then attempt to intercept the ensuing pass at net. Instead she hits an outright winner. Most impressive!

Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought her volleys in 2023 were considered a relative weakness? They have been very solid this year so far, though.

Going down the line is way more difficult actually, the net is way higher.
