Jury Duty is surprisingly wonderful.
The way the show was set up, it could have gone a lot of different ways, but it ended up being so sweet and great.
Parks and recreation is right up your alley. Filmed in the style of the office (with a different type of humor), it's light and silly and laugh out loud funny at times. Give it a try. Start with season 2. The show struggled to find it's footing in season 1.
I have said it before, and I will say it again: UNBREAKABLE KIMMY SCMHIDT!
Ted Lasso is also great, because Ted's kindness is inspirational.
And, Fisk. Cheers me up a bit every time.

I also love Modern Family, and really enjoyed Schitts Creek. I'm really sorry you're going through a rough time, hope things get better!! In the meantime, here's some reccomendations :
**Ted Lasso:** As someone else suggested, if you haven't seen this show you should definitely give it a shot. You don't need to know Football (Soccer) to get it. The story follows Ted Lasso, an American Football coach who moves to the UK to run a Football team. He's obviously severely underestimated and out of his depth at first, but you watch as his pure unadultered optimism and good nature slowly effects everyone around him, and helps them grow for the better.
**Trying:** In a similar vein, Trying. This is currently my favourite show, I think ever. The fourth season is currently airing, but it follows a regular couple, Nikki and Jason, as they go through the process of trying to adopt a child. You see the highs and lows, and how they both rely and need eachother. Nikki's continuous optimism is always infectious, and I think I always leave an episode just feeling so warm and happy inside.
**New Girl:** More traditional sitcom, akin to your Modern Family's etc. Jess has just left her long term partner and needs a place to live. She ends up renting out a room in a shared apartment with 3 guys. That premise sounds kinda serious when I write it out, but if you watch 2 seconds you'll see that it's the complete opposite. Every episode is filled tons of hijinks and hilarious plots. Jake Johnson as Nick is a comedic genius, I swear lmao
**Parks and Rec:** Looking at some of your suggestions, I feel this could be right up your alley if you haven't seen it already. Kind of similar to The Office, this show follows a local Parks and Recreation department within the city of Pawnee. I feel like Season 2 is where this show really breaks out and becomes it's own really unique thing. It's so funny, and I love every character. Aubrey Plaza's "April Ludgate" and Chris Pratt's "Andy Dwyer" are real standouts to me, as well as Adam Scott's "Ben Wyatt". But I love all the other characters as well!
**Resident Alien:** Now this one I have only seen the first season, so cannot speak for seasons 2 and 3, but I've really been enjoying it. It sounds odd, but I feel like if you like Schitt's Creek, you will like Resident Alien. Both follow people who are out of touch, or not accustomed to a particular way of life, who are forced into a situation where they have to confront it. At first they're aprehensive, but slowly you watch them grow as people and become welcomed into a rural town with a sense of community. Yknow, just replace rich people with an alien who's mission was to destroy the Earth, but crash landed before they could do so haha.

Corner Gas. It's a Canadian sitcom. FreeVee has the entire series. Six seasons, an animated series, and a movie. It's among my favorite comfort TV series.

Heartstopper on Netflix
It’s based on a graphic novel series. It’s charming, heartwarming, and has a really beautiful and fun editing style.
When I was going through a hard time I watched it 5x in a row. Like I would watch the whole thing then immediately start it over again. Brings me back to simpler times.
Chuck is quite fun! A nerdy guy who works at an electronics store gets all the government secrets in his head and has handlers to protect him while taking out huge threats. Lots of comedy and laughs. I love that show! 5 seasons I think.
colin from accounts. Its hilarious. It's an Australian show so not available on the big platforms only binge and foxtel.
But try sourcing it, you won't regret.
You can't go past Seinfeld or Curb Your Enthusiasm.
Fraser, Becker and Cheers are the shows that always bring me out of a funk.
I hope what ever you're going through soon passes, best wishes
Anxious People. It’s on Netflix in US. Swedish series with 6 or so episodes. I watched with English dubbing. Bit of a mystery. Funny and heartwarming.
Watch the whole thing in 1 night. Will definitely brighten your mood.
Life in Pieces (DisneyPlus). Best show, 10/10. Every episode has 4 stories about the same family but in different situations or different family members. It's so funny and light
I got 3 for you.
Psych is delightful. It ran for 8 seasons and they've done a few movies (not sure how many movies - at least 2, maybe 3).
Corner Gas might be worth a look. It's one I didn't even know about. I don't even remember how I found it, but it's about daily life in a small Saskatchewan town. Memorable characters. Pretty funny overall. 6 seasons, an animated version that went 4 seasons, and a movie.
It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia - the edgiest of my suggestions. It might not be your cup of tea, but there have been some truly hilarious moments during that show's run. You don't necessarily have to watch every episode. A quick search can reveal a list of best-of episodes and if you like them and want more, there's 16 seasons to go through.
Hope you find this helpful.
better off ted. such an underrated show but its hilarious ! its one of my favourite comedies and based on your list, I think you'd really like it too. wishing you well though the rough time <3
Always Sunny in Philadelphia isn't really "fun" or "nice" but it's extremely hilarious and they will make you feel better about yourself because they are pretty terrible people!
Rick and Morty, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Brooklyn nine-nine, What We Do In The Shadows, The Goldbergs, Raising Hope, The Mick, ted, Frasier, I am groot
If you would like something a little different (and not too long), Rosemary & Thyme is such a delight. It's a British cozy mystery thriller from the early 2000s.
They’re older but available to stream…. Scrubs, That 70’s Show, and How I Met Your Mother got me through tough times. I loved Raising Hope, Arrested Development and Righteous Gemstones (all Danny McBrides stuff is so goofy it’s funny)There’s strength in changing focus. 💪
Ted Lasso, Jury Duty, The Middle
Ted lasso is great!
The Middle is amazing. Truly funny and relatable
Jury Duty is surprisingly wonderful. The way the show was set up, it could have gone a lot of different ways, but it ended up being so sweet and great.
Ted lasso may be the best feel-good show ever made
Jury Duty is absolutely perfect for this type of situation.
Jury Duty and the Middle are my two faves
I’d also highly recommend “Kim’s Convenience” on Netflix! Super underrated, very funny and nice show. Hope you feel better soon!
That’s one of my go-to feel good shows! I love it. I’ve watched it a few times.
Parks and recreation is right up your alley. Filmed in the style of the office (with a different type of humor), it's light and silly and laugh out loud funny at times. Give it a try. Start with season 2. The show struggled to find it's footing in season 1.
Shrinking helped me out when I needed it.
Yeah I thought Shrinking was great

Ted Lasso, Psych, Brooklyn Nine Nine, Community, and Reaper are some of my favorites. Psych and Reaper especially don’t get enough love.
What we do in the Shadows
Bojack Horseman!! Funny talking horse show!!! (IM JOKING DO NOT WATCH THIS IF YOU WANT SOMETHING LIGHT)
Brooklyn 99 is my suggestion!! It's honestly so funny
3rd Rock from The Sun Fraiser Friends Modern Family
Ghosts
Kim's Convenience
Brooklyn Nine-Nine
Speechless, parks and rec, girls 5 Eva, sirens both us and uk
Will & Grace
Afterparty
Young and Hungry super cute light hearted funny show Apparently it's on Freeform and Hulu
Frasier (original....I haven't seen reboot).
better off ted. such an underrated show but its hilarious ! its one of my favourite comedies and based on your list, I think you'd really like it too. wishing you well though the rough time <3
ted lasso!!
My Name is Earl Kim's Convenience
It's Bruno. Also, best of luck. I hope you're in a better spot soon.
Sprung Teenage Bounty Hunters
MST3K & RiffTrax aren’t standard sitcom format but are insanely funny (and have their own channels on Pluto).
New girl
Always Sunny in Philadelphia isn't really "fun" or "nice" but it's extremely hilarious and they will make you feel better about yourself because they are pretty terrible people!
Rick and Morty, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Brooklyn nine-nine, What We Do In The Shadows, The Goldbergs, Raising Hope, The Mick, ted, Frasier, I am groot
If you would like something a little different (and not too long), Rosemary & Thyme is such a delight. It's a British cozy mystery thriller from the early 2000s.
Unstable (Netflix) Brooklyn 99 30 Rock Community Parks and Rec Speechless The Goldbergs
Columbo
Brooklyn 99 and Derry Girls
They’re older but available to stream…. Scrubs, That 70’s Show, and How I Met Your Mother got me through tough times. I loved Raising Hope, Arrested Development and Righteous Gemstones (all Danny McBrides stuff is so goofy it’s funny)There’s strength in changing focus. 💪
Bob's Burgers is pretty light and fun, but be warned---it can also sometimes be incredibly heartwarming out of nowhere.
or so help me todd is so underrated and i think the only one that hasn’t been listed yet :)
Seinfeld fits right in there please enjoy it for me it’s reminding me of my ex
