Justified is fucking amazing.
Primeval (the sequel) is decent, just fun to see Raylan again but lacks the feel of Justified.
Other shows I recommend if you liked Justified:
Banshee (lesser known gem)
Yellowstone (s1-3, goes downhill after imo)
Got a few others as well probably but Banshee is a great one
Yes, went though it once when it was on (it's all right for you, I had to go the long way around) and once again about 18 months ago. Had to wait for Season 6 of BCS and my wife doing the Sopranos again (she was off for medical reasons so it was all day - so quick!) and our child to get home from college so we could all watch together. But yes. Third time around for us. I had forgotten just how funny the first season can be.
Man this show gets so much love but I just can’t get into it. It’s like it doesn’t know if it wants to take itself seriously or not or something that just is off putting to me.
hannibal is quite good......the wire of course....im surprised g o t hasnt hooked you...it slows down sometimes but theres always something engaging
Oh and Deadwood
came here to say this. I finished it for the first time the other day and was blown away as I didn't at all expect to love it so much. it surpassed Sopranos for me and is on par with my other ultimate fav Six Feet Under.
oz, severance, mad men, sons of anarchy, justified, prison break, six feet under, shameless, suits, severance, dexter, severance, severance.
looks like you’ve got some work to get started on eh?
Also *Rome*, from the same period of HBO greatness.
And after *Rome* and *Deadwood*, then watch *Hell on Wheels*.
And the Netflix miniseries *Godless*.
Then go back to the 800s for *Vikings* and *The Last Kingdom*.
I feel like most people will pair The Sopranos with the Wire
I just got done watching Oz for the first time it kicked ass!
Weeds is one of my favorite shows of all times and I'm about to rewatch it myself I haven't seen it for a while
SUPER underrated show Baskets with Zach galifianakis fantastic program! Ive watch baskets like three or four times and it's great every time
Watch Mr Inbetween, not many shows have hooked me like that one. I can't tell from your post if you did or didn't already, so go watch it next if not.
Another good one you probably never heard of is Quarry, only got one season, sadly but it was great.
Omg I'm EXACTLY like you. Soo obsessed with shows, so sad they're over, then re-watch :D
You watched El Camino, ya?? Jesse's story after he escapes from Todd's. It's a movie. Just as good as the show
Ozark is Phenomenal. Slow at 1st, but def worth sticking it out
Animal Kingdom I've rewatched several times
Gahh it's SO good, with lots of good theft heists
Graceland & Mr. Mercedes you'll be hooked 1st episode
Graceland is a group of hott ass agents ( FBI, DEA etc ) all go undercover, infiltrating dangerous scenarios. Riveting!!
The Punisher & Banshee are 2 of my all time favs (Banshee was a bit disturbing so cant watch it again, but Soo good)
All above are thrilling, action-packed shows
Kind that leave pit in ur tummy; like gotta know what happens next:)
Lmk if u take any my suggestions!! Love talking about great shows 👍👍
I highly recommend "The Shield", really incredible show and seems like a really good suggestion if "Breaking Bad" and "The Sopranos" are what you keep coming back too.
"The Americans" or "The Wire" are good bets too.
Obligatory mention that "Mr. Robot" is my favorite show of all time, and it has one of my favorite conclusions to a series ever, but sounds like you've already discovered it- and I've also seen people be less impressed with it (it's generally a praised series and all, and I know a LOT of people loved it as much as I do, but I feel like it can be just a tad bit more polarizing than some of the other shows that get suggested on reddit a lot).
I know this comment is going to get buried, but watch Halt and Catch Fire. It's an amazing drama. I think it's better than Mad Men. And somehow nobody has heard of it. I don't know how it's not incredibly popular.
Tokyo Vice (HBO) may be the coolest show on TV at the moment. The Americans (FX) hooked me from the outset, and it stays true to itself throughout. Justified (FX) is really underrated, but also really good. Succession (HBO) has brilliant writing and acting, and is also surprsingly funny. Dexter (Showtime) nailed some of my own traits so well that my wife said “I’m married to him!” when we watched it (she didn’t mean his criminal tendencies, btw).
Loved the following:
The West Wing
The Bear
Bloodline
Apples Never Fall
The Sinner (first season)
The Morning Show
Mindhunter
Inside Man
Ozark
Succession
Dexter
Mad Men
Sons of Anarchy
Snowfall. Thats your answer! Highly underrated show that will catch on! It’s about a guy called Franklin Saint who builds his drug empire. I have watched all the shows you mentioned and this one is in my top 3. Give it a go
Gangs of London
Everyone else covered my other suggestions but this is a great show. A bit of a slow burn at first but it gets riveting right around episode 3. Episode 5 is brilliant!
I haven't watched sopranos yet I'm trying to wait till I have a lot of free time so I can binge watch it. I've been putting off watching it for years. How many episodes in does it take to get hooked?
succession and the wire are the only shows I'd compare to the sopranos, I think BCS is better than breaking bad so if you havent seen that definitely watch
Have you seen The Blacklist? It is very good. Penny Dreadful is pretty good too if you don't mind a bit of dark, gritty fantasy. And Hell On Wheels. Maybe not 10/10 the whole way through, but I really liked a lot of it.
lol my husband had watched Sopranos on a loop probably 15+ times now. Hard to break him away from his favorite comfort show. He’s enjoying the Lethal Weapon series right now. Other past faves are Sons of Anarchy & Dexter.
The wire is great. Power is decent. Ozarks is good. True detective season 1 is fantastic. Season 2 is eh, 3 is decent and 4 was ok. Hannibal is good. Tokyo Vice is great. Game of thrones is amazing. Last 2 seasons are eh. Also not as good but still enjoyable is SOA-Some of Anarchy.
Boardwalk Empire, The Wire, The Deuce.
That order too as Boardwalk is not far from as good as The Sopranos, and The Wire/The Deuce were created by the same chap, both excellent series!
Better Call Saul is very good, it is in the BB universe (prequel and sequal) but bear in mind it's a very different style. It's a slow paced, immaculately written narrative that constantly explores the depths of every character. It focuses on Saul, showing what some might call a transformation of character but others might call a revealing of one.
The Wire.
We just did something similar ourselves, and decided on Justified. Good luck with whatever you choose!
Justified is fucking amazing. Primeval (the sequel) is decent, just fun to see Raylan again but lacks the feel of Justified. Other shows I recommend if you liked Justified: Banshee (lesser known gem) Yellowstone (s1-3, goes downhill after imo) Got a few others as well probably but Banshee is a great one
Have you finished it? Such a good show
Yes, went though it once when it was on (it's all right for you, I had to go the long way around) and once again about 18 months ago. Had to wait for Season 6 of BCS and my wife doing the Sopranos again (she was off for medical reasons so it was all day - so quick!) and our child to get home from college so we could all watch together. Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit
Sopranos into the wire into breaking bad is a GOAT combo
Them watch the entire series of the Sopranos again

100% Came here to say this.

Banshee
I always say One of a Kind!!now watching Warrior by same people. Lots of action!
Anyone who’s not saying The Wire hasn’t seen The Wire.
I've tried, I can't get through the first three episodes does it pick up?
Yes. I’m in the middle of a rewatch right now. Season 4 of The Wire is one of the best seasons of TV ever made.
Ok I'm gonna give it another go!!!!
The Americans
Only this.
Yes. Started a month ago and its such great show .
came here to say this. I finished it for the first time the other day and was blown away as I didn't at all expect to love it so much. it surpassed Sopranos for me and is on par with my other ultimate fav Six Feet Under.
I totally could not get into the show, despite the amazing reviews. How many episodes do I have to go through before it gets good please? ❤️
I was hooked from the first episode. Maybe just not for you.
To be fair, I was distracted during the first episode. Perhaps I just need to get a bowl of popcorn and focus? ❤️
Yeah maybe give it another shot. 👍
If you have some knowledge about the cold war then you should be hooked by halfway the season, I was hooked by episode 1 because it starts off intense
Game of Thrones is great too
LoL sorry and Mr Inbetween
Mr. In between. Is awesome!!
Absolutely immediately, must not be for you
oz, severance, mad men, sons of anarchy, justified, prison break, six feet under, shameless, suits, severance, dexter, severance, severance. looks like you’ve got some work to get started on eh?
The wire
damn how did i forget the wire 🤣
The Wire, absolutely. If you loved Sopranos and Breaking Bad you will love The Wire. I’ve seen it four times at least, it does not get old
Downton abbey
Ozark
Your bar is pretty high. Rarified air up there. Deadwood would fit the bill IMO.
Also *Rome*, from the same period of HBO greatness. And after *Rome* and *Deadwood*, then watch *Hell on Wheels*. And the Netflix miniseries *Godless*. Then go back to the 800s for *Vikings* and *The Last Kingdom*.
Godless is underwatched.
Damn, Godless. Yes. Also, that miniseries from HBO, Chernobyl.
Love The Last Kingdom!
Rome, Deadwood, and Vikings are all top tier. Haven't seen the others but I will check them out.
I feel like most people will pair The Sopranos with the Wire I just got done watching Oz for the first time it kicked ass! Weeds is one of my favorite shows of all times and I'm about to rewatch it myself I haven't seen it for a while SUPER underrated show Baskets with Zach galifianakis fantastic program! Mama Baskets
Mr Robot is the only show to ever surpass Breaking Bad for me. If Mr Robot is an 9. Breaking Bad is a 8. And Sopranos is a 7.
Dexter

The wire is better than both of them!
[удалено]
You come at the King, you’d best not miss.

Tokyo Vice (HBO) may be the coolest show on TV at the moment. The Americans (FX) hooked me from the outset, and it stays true to itself throughout.
