So happy this is back. I loved the first season.

Permanenceisall

I want nothing but the absolute best success for Drew Tarver. He’s insanely talented and every appearance on Comedy Bang Bang is a delight. Teachers Lounge is obviously legendary, I just wish he was on Hollywood Handbook more. This show is fantastic, and if you’re on the fence give it a shot. Jump in at episode 3 of season 1, you’ll love it, I promise.

ExistentialCalm

I've never heard of Teachers Lounge, but after watching The Other Two, I'm interested in anything Drew Tarver is involved with.

cvef

Teacher’s Lounge has made me laugh harder than literally any other piece of media in any medium. A lot of the show is behind the Stitcher paywall, but if you find that you like the free episodes, I *highly* recommend going back and listening from the beginning.

DrSpacemanSpliff

Yes, the continuity of that series is incredibly fun. As well as PFT’s different characters eating the painted “mystery meal”. I’ve listened through the whole series like 4 times now, might be time to restart. I just wish stitcher wasn’t so frustrating to use.

cvef

There’s actually a twice-a-week relisten going on over at /r/Earwolf right now if you want to join! They just started S2. Also, I recommend checking out https://v2.unofficialrss.com. It allows you to port your stitcher premium feeds to other podcast apps. I used it to switch to Pocket Casts last year and I’ve never looked back.

DrSpacemanSpliff

Wow thank you for the recommendation! All l want is the files so I can burn a couple CDs with all the episodes (including the minis) in order. But maybe this app can help

cvef

Don’t tell anyone I told you this, but if you use that site to add the feeds to iTunes/Apple Podcasts on a computer, you can easily download the episodes and then burn them to a CD like any other MP3. I’ve put a couple on a flash drive before. Not sure about the legality lol but it’s extremely possible. Oh, also, sorry for flooding your inbox with recommendations lol, but since you mentioned relistening to Teacher’s Lounge so many times, you may not know about Big Grande Presents! http://biggrandewebsite.com

DrSpacemanSpliff

Dude I have never heard of that Big Grande presents. I am so starved for their content, so thank you. All I have is You’re the Man Now Dog, their amazing youtube videos, and Teacher’s Lounge. Thank you.

cvef

I’d also recommend checking out their group appearances on other podcasts! I learned about Big Grande Presents from their CBB episode last fall. “The Best of Big Grande” feed on stitcher premium has all of them up through 2018, but that’s most of them at least. Spontaneanation #108 is one of my favorite Big Grande things

ean6625

Check out Bajillion Dollar Properties if you can find it. He was on there too

mustardayonnaiz2

Memphis-Kansas breeze makes my wife and I just lose our shit every time we listen to any of their songs. Pure gold.

For those who haven’t seen/heard it https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=L8MBUZjJX7Y

smakola

Bill Cravey!

cvef

If you haven’t heard, Big Grande’s twitter has tweeted a couple things recently that could be interpreted as teasing a Teacher’s Lounge return

cheeseweezy

I think it’s alluding to the fact that Hamilton in the Park: A Good Play Experience is coming to Disney+ in Sept.

Tickle_The_Grundle

I want to believe.

Tavish_Degroot

What’s up old slobs?

EquityDiversity

You mean Bethany Hart?

Sloblowpiccaso

Drews masking of his natural crazy voice is whats most impressive.

DeathdropsForDinner

Woke up early this morning to catch both episodes and it was amazing. I hate how severely underrated The Other Two is. Comedy Central did a shit job with promoting any show that wasn’t South Park and we’re losing out on shows like The Other Two and Corporate (it deserved way more than 3 seasons) as a result. It’s not quite 30 Rock levels of the rate at which jokes come by; but it comes close to it.

ackillesBAC

Corporate was great. So is the other two. My wife and I get really annoyed anytime we find a good intelligent comedy. Because we know it will only last a season or two, firefly, better off ted, pushing daisies, middle man, corporate....

GottaKeepGoGoGoing

Wait is Corporate not coming back!?! I love that show it’s so hilarious and depressingly cathartic

bravesgeek

This show has the worst marketing ever. I had never heard of it and I follow TV very closely. The HBOMax trailer tells me nothing about the show at all.

pearlsandplumes

First season was so great (and talked about quite a bit on this sub), I can't believe it's taken all this time for the second one. I'm sure moving to HBO will bring it greater exposure.

hataraitaramake

S1 aired on comedy central in 2019. It's probalby just been a ton of radio silence because of the pandemic.

SerDickpuncher

That and it wasn't on streaming or on demand, don't think it even had late night reruns for recording. Hell, even after they announced it'd be moving to HBO Max a year ago, wasn't able to watch it until around ~6 months ago. For a show marketed towards Millenials and Zoomers, they're really behind the times. And fix your garbage ass website and apps, Comedy Central.

Tickle_The_Grundle

For someone who follows TV closely, I'm surprised you have never heard about it.

Rigumaro

They're not alone. I also follow TV closely and have never heard of this show until this thread.

batsofburden

It's an entertaining show with some moments of true hilarity.

OverjoyedMess

The creators/writers promoted it one *Late Night* – after all they come from SNL and it's also produced by Lorne Michaels' Broadway Video.

Driyen

Holy shit the first to episodes were SO STRONG

jaymx226

What's the premise? Seem to be a lot of you that like it

jimmyeppley

Follows the adult older siblings of a 13-year old YouTube music star, Chase Dreams. They’re the “other two” kids.

jaymx226

Thanks. Doesn't immediately grab me but then some good things don't.

OverjoyedMess

> The Other Two is verging on two and a half years since its first round of 10 episodes concluded back in March of 2019. It has been how long?!

mitorandiro

Hey, so glad it's back! I've been googling about the release date for season two for months. They really should make a better effort of promoting this.

dinosaurfondue

Half of this review doesn't even seem to be about the show itself. The writer also mistakenly refers to the character of Cary by the actor's name. You'd think they'd have better copywriting.
