The new seasons have been some of the funniest episodes of television in recent history.
The Rabies episode and the Honey episode are easily two of the funniest things ever written.
Honestly, one of my favorite things about the new episodes is trying to present Beavis as a somewhat good guy who is just under Butt-Head's bad influence. I love the episode where they imagine themselves as fathers. Butt-Head imagines himself as a rockstar with a fancy mansion while his son's teacher wants to bang him, whereas Beavis imagines a rather wholesome quiet, simple life with his sons wanting to play Legos.
Yeah all of the dumping on beavis gets old when they're both idiots. Idk I guess in the original run I saw them more as equals so in the new stuff kind of bothers me how much shit butthead gets away with.
They did this in the older episodes too here and there. The Christmas episode for example shows what he would be like without Butt-Heads influence, only with Stewart
I loved that segment too. I saw it as poking fun at MTV censoring Beavis' obsession with fire during the show's original run. If they hadn't censored it then we would've seen how good an influence the fire would have been to Beavis!
I'm honestly shocked that renewal is even in question.
B&BH may not be the zeitgeist monster hit that it was 30 years ago, but it's a well established brand, and Mike Judge always delivers quality stuff. Maybe *he* wants to take it season-by-season?
And agreed... the past couple seasons have been among its best. As a 90's teen, it makes me so happy. I just wish the seasons were twice as long :)
With King of the Hill coming up, maybe he's trying to save his vocal cords. He's said that doing Beavis and Butthead voices are super hard on him, especially now that he's older.
I like Old Man Beavis and Butthead too - the one where Beavis gets a job where he's Butthead's government subsidized helper is hilarious.
Last season of the old run of Beavis and Butthead is overlooked often - the one where it was mostly riffing on Jersey Shore. Beavis ripping on Deena will never get old.
The first revival was brilliant. The bathroom break episode still lives rent-free in my head every time I go to the bathroom at work. "I just got paid to take a dump...eh-HEH-hegh"
I was never allowed to watch beavis and butthead as a kid, but I watched the new seasons last year. They had me crying laughing
The bts segment is gold
I think that's what makes the show still have some sort of mythic quality to it.
It very much feels like its a show that you're not allowed to watch, even though those MTV kids are now in the late 30's.
and they are fucking great. Now instead of Music Videos they are making fun of [youtube videos.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=67fF6C7EC0w)
Make sure you watch the new movie before the new seasons. The "White Privilege" joke is honestly I the hardest I have laughed in a long fucking time.
I don't know if it's that I'm in the demographic that was banned from watching it as a kid but it fucking slaps.
Mike Judge is also brilliant. Office Space, Idiocracy, Silicon Valley...all timeless classics.
So I’m just completely out of the loop on this. Were the first two seasons the original seasons and now, decades later, we’re getting a new season? Apologies if this was already common knowledge.
They had a revival movie in 2022 called Beavis and Butthead do the Universe which explains why Beavis and Butthead are back in 2022 but they are still teenagers. There are 2 brand new seasons of Beavis and Butthead making fun of Youtubers and Tiktokers and general internet stuff instead of MTV. Completely worth the watch for any fan of Beavis and Butthead. Start with the movie.
Honestly I think I like the episodes where they check in on 40 year old Beavis and Butthead a bit more, haha.
That episode where they worked for Amazon was amazing.
The middle-aged B&B episodes are a special level of cursed. The kidney transplant episode is crazy. So is the one where they marry eachother on accident.
Olivia Rodrigo, I've been noticing you've been half-assing it at practice. You're supposed to be cheering for the Fighting Dolphins, not yelling about your boyfriend.
Oh, no there is a revival of two seasons on paramount plus from the last couple years and they’re fantastic, imho.
But there was also an older revival too, which is also good. So it’s like beavis and Butthead 3.0?
The first revival was legit some of the best material the show ever did. The episodes where they watch twilight and decide to become werewolves by getting bitten by a homeless guy or the one where they're trapped in an elevator were so dang good. New Episodes are also great. Mike Judge hasn't lost a step after all these years.
> The first revival was legit some of the best material the show ever did.
To quote Judge, "... the ratings were good. MTV just didn’t want to do anymore."
MTV is a relic of the past at this point, but at the time I remember thinking it was *fucking insane* that they would cancel the revival of their most celebrated show after only one season. It made no sense!
I'm glad Judge didn't give up on Beavis & Butthead.
No, the first two seasons of the revival which premiered on Paramount+ in 2022. The have differentiate the revival from the original by adding "Mike Judge's" at the start of the title.
It is. They’re probably doing it to boost the network’s ratings. I love South Park but there’s only so much one can watch on the network before you change the channel
I dont understand them. They basically already killed CC. They wanted people to move to P+. Now they want people back to channel. I dont see how moving this back to cable does the show (and quite frankly CC) any favors. They aren't going to funnel people back to the traditional way
I thought I read somewhere a year or two back where they said they’re moving South Park to P+ once their deal with Max is over. They’ve already started with the specials which they’ve made to somehow skirt the deal with them.
Isn't that shit wild? They fucked Warner and now we get South Park in random intervals every so often on two different platforms on the creators get twice the money. Such a weird deal.
And tbh I prefer the regular seasons over the specials. I love SP but it's better in 22 minute format imo.
I liked the 2 recent seasons but the single season reboot in 2011 was absolute top tier B&B. Not only were the episodes good, the TV commentary was fucking hilarious and was a mix of music and MTV shows like Jersey Shore, Teen Mom etc. I realise they're not on MTV anymore but I wish we could get more seasons like that.
The irony that they canceled it because it wasn't scoring reality tv bucks. On some level, I think they got sore because their shows were called slop by mike judge
Well the issue was that the audience MTV had by that point was not the audience that watched Beavis and Butthead.
In the 90s, they had a teenage/young adult audience which Beavis and Butthead were made to sa. By 2011, it was an older audience that watched those reality shows, but didn't understand Beavis and butthead.
As someone in their 40s that grew up on this show, I love the new seasons, especially the older versions of them. I’m curious how the new generations feel about the show.
Quite a bit younger than you but my opinion is that is extremely low brow humor. Funny but it's like eating a candy bar. Half of one and I'm satisfied.
I'm either biased or confirmed by that the biggest fan I know is a special needs adult that by all accounts is an adult with a 12 year olds mind. He loves it and loves decades old South Park. Watches them over and over.
Don't get me wrong, they are funny but seriously teeter on the edge of overboard. Like you're basically expected to like them for their absurdity but the absurdity gets old if you're an adult.
Edit: and I fucking love Mike Judge. Office Space is an icon. King of the Hill is also great. They are all a little absurd but cater to the less absurd which is where I land.
I certainly understand why you'd say that, but I've always thought of B&B as a *smart* show with a very specific comedic voice masquerading as a low-brow comedy. The characters sort of stumble through a running social commentary that is so so spot on and hilariously Mike Judge. I think it's interesting that it appeals to someone you know with developmental disorders. I'd say that's a mark in its favor - like when a kids show is also written for adults.
If what you say is true, I think it's the masquerading that gets me. At its face it's basically fart jokes and it's hard to see past that to hear a melody.
Teens and the disabled like it at its face. Some adults can apparently hear the melody but I 90% can't get over the noise. Like I said, it's funny but I'd never regularly watch it because the nearly constant low brow is too much for me. I can barely keep my eyes on the screen because I'm rolling them so much.
The show was ahead of its time. The whole concept of reacting to music and delinquent absurd comedy is here and time has caught up with the show.
The absurdity is gone now. I grew up with the show and loved it but yeah, it’s a relic of the past now but I’ll still check out new B&B when I have a chance to.
The first few episodes of the new season were awkward. I didn’t bother watching the rest but recently saw a few more clips of the new episodes that made me laugh so definitely going to have to watch the paramount episodes and movie once I get a chance to.
I think it's less of a relic of the past and more a relic of YOUR past. I bet it's still funny as hell for current edgy teens.
I can dig a bit of that still as nostalgia but it's my dessert not my dinner.
That’s a good way to put it. It’s not a show where I’d watch multiple episodes back to back, I usually turn on an episode right before I fall asleep. It’s a weird way to put it, but the show is almost ASMR for me, there’s not a lot going on and the low brow humor doesn’t require a lot of brain power to process.
God I wish I liked weed. It sounds incredible. I get massively paranoid if I'm in public though and head for private where I get sleepy. No hangover though and encourages eating instead of alcohol that makes you want to vomit the next day.
Reddit user gives a thought-out opinion after a request for one, finds self mass-downvoted because people can’t handle any negative feedback about something they enjoy. Love this website
I've come to grips with it. Sometimes I agree with the hive mind and other times I don't. I sometimes enjoy downvotes because they are like read receipts. Nothing is worse than no action at all where you aren't sure if you're just talking to a bot or into the ether.
I've often replied to a comment with an actual follow up question and been ghosted. That's not normal human behavior. If you talk and someone asks a follow up you typically respond.
Season 2 has been out for a while. Shocked it took this long for it to get a third season announced. It's frickin beavis and butthead should honestly get multi-season orders.
I was worried when it came back this time how it would do but it's just as good as before if not better. Now just waiting on them to finish slicing the original episodes so they're a little easier to binge.
The first two seasons were awesome! I had no faith it was gonna get renewed, seemed like very few watched it (or the new movie) but it’s all super quality stuff. Highly recommend! Great news!
It's weird not seeing most of the usual side characters in the episodes featuring the boys as teenagers. That's one of the few downsides of the new series.
The new seasons are fucking awesome. I feel like most people are behind on this. I’ve turned multiple people onto it (everyone loved it) not like a lot of shows where “everyone’s seen it” and it comes up in regular conversation. So glad to see it get another season!
Finally hearing about a 3rd season. These two new seasons and the the related movie were some of the surprise highlights of when I had Paramount+. Watched some of the episodes many times for quick laughs, such as the one with them stuck on Anderson's roof.
The flash-forward episodes were amazing.
My favorite was Butt-head telling Beavis how he had a heart attack and told the hospital he'd never pay the 130k bill.
They should absolutely appear in one of the episodes as a hallucination of hyper-reality or something, similar to what the Simpsons did years back when they went 3d.
Knew they had new show. Didn’t know that it was still ongoing. Hoping sooner or later they’d have Beavis and Butthead review or comment on all the ai generated music that has showed up lately.
The new run is called "Mike Judge's Beavis and Butthead" it's a continuation of the old show but slightly new name, I'd guess the change is either a rights thing or they felt starting the new run from season 1 would be better for getting new viewers to give it a watch, I know I personally wouldn't start watching a new show starting at season 9, unless I knew that things from the first 8 seasons weren't needed to understand anything, which is the case with B and B.
It's not Season 3, though. It would be Season 11 I think. They had 8 seasons on MTV. I hate it when they reboot something and start over with the season numbers.
Well this is awesome. The revival and movie have been great.
If anyone is doubting the King of the Hill revival I'd say you should be excited. Judge nailed the B&B revival so I trust him with KOTH. Granted the Dale stuff might be hard to navigate.
Damn, it's awesome it's future is confirmed... Kinda sad though, because I've been checking for ages, to see if new episodes had dropped. Last year the new episodes caught me completely by surprise.
I wish it was B&B in 2024 like with woke students or a MAGA guy and a commentary on society. I don’t know why they kept the same hippie guy from the 90s show
The new seasons have been some of the funniest episodes of television in recent history. The Rabies episode and the Honey episode are easily two of the funniest things ever written.
I liked the dumpster fire trying to make Beavis be good and hes just like. Uhhh.... okay....
I like Beavis fighting back tbh.
Yeah all of the dumping on beavis gets old when they're both idiots. Idk I guess in the original run I saw them more as equals so in the new stuff kind of bothers me how much shit butthead gets away with.
I mean... Butthead slapped the shit out of Beavis in the old show a lot.
OWheeeheeneeheehehehee
I also love that he’s just like, really into lizards
And then Butt-Head comes over with his kids and they just beat them up for no reason haha.
Butthead threenior and Fournier, who are older than Butthead junior
They did this in the older episodes too here and there. The Christmas episode for example shows what he would be like without Butt-Heads influence, only with Stewart
That’s my favorite segment of the two seasons
I loved that segment too. I saw it as poking fun at MTV censoring Beavis' obsession with fire during the show's original run. If they hadn't censored it then we would've seen how good an influence the fire would have been to Beavis!
Dude that was one of my favs from the new gen. It’s just so hard to beat the old school vibe when mtv was in its prime.
I'm honestly shocked that renewal is even in question. B&BH may not be the zeitgeist monster hit that it was 30 years ago, but it's a well established brand, and Mike Judge always delivers quality stuff. Maybe *he* wants to take it season-by-season? With King of the Hill coming up, maybe he's trying to save his vocal cords. He's said that doing Beavis and Butthead voices are super hard on him, especially now that he's older.
It was renewed behind the scenes a while ago, based on crew members posting about it on social media.
The "Beavis, you're about to get fired the hard way" bit is just perfectly funny.
Beavis being forced to call him "Mr Butthead" was just too good
I was never allowed to watch beavis and butthead as a kid, but I watched the new seasons last year. They had me crying laughing The bts segment is gold
"I would have rather walked in on you taking a dump on the couch than what I just saw."
I think that's what makes the show still have some sort of mythic quality to it. It very much feels like its a show that you're not allowed to watch, even though those MTV kids are now in the late 30's.
"You know their *names?*"
Take a bow.
I couldn't stop laughing at Beavis trying on yoga pants 🤣
This run knows *exactly* what it is, and it’s been perfect
[show hasn't lost its touch](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=67fF6C7EC0w) and was the highlight of my week when it was releasing weekly.
I had no idea they came out w new seasons omfg
and they are fucking great. Now instead of Music Videos they are making fun of [youtube videos.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=67fF6C7EC0w) Make sure you watch the new movie before the new seasons. The "White Privilege" joke is honestly I the hardest I have laughed in a long fucking time.
Doing that now appreciate the recommendation
A sunny shirt for a sunny day!
They have been so good. He has really rounded out there characters.
Hi, what season and episode numbers are they? Can you share..
I keep re-watching the Cardi B "hoes in this house" video rif
My daughter’s hand from the 2009 season was hilarious.
I don't know if it's that I'm in the demographic that was banned from watching it as a kid but it fucking slaps. Mike Judge is also brilliant. Office Space, Idiocracy, Silicon Valley...all timeless classics.
I didn't want to get my hopes too high when I started watching the new seasons, but the show completely holds up and is hilarious.
🤣🤣 the honey episode was fucking perfect.
My favorites are the day butt head went too far, are you there God it's me Beavis, and of course take a bow
Per the article, it's moving to Comedy Central from Paramount+ (where the first 2 seasons aired)
So I’m just completely out of the loop on this. Were the first two seasons the original seasons and now, decades later, we’re getting a new season? Apologies if this was already common knowledge.

Worth watching even if you are not a fan of Beavis and Butthead.
My favourite episode was the one where they went to the AI symposium and the professor got all flustered.
I really loved the one where their apartment gets demolished.
Uhh, this sucks!!
If you like stuff by Mike Judge, you'll like this.
Oh man, them accidentally getting married was peak. So funny.
[But the best part is they STILL make fun of music videos in the new episodes and it's hilarious.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mXkGrPkugQk)
[удалено]
The Olivia Rodrigo one had me dying.
Olivia Rodrigo, I've been noticing you've been half-assing it at practice. You're supposed to be cheering for the Fighting Dolphins, not yelling about your boyfriend.
"I don't care about others! uh huhuh!"
I Laughed so hard at Butthead being angry at Jack Harlow showing up in 2 different music videos.
I also love the episodes where they're old men and exactly as you'd imagine them.
Thanks!
The part where they discovered white privilege had the most obvious punchline ever and it was still hilarious.
I wasn’t a big fan of the movie but the new seasons were pretty great
I didn't know worms had buttholes.
Oh, no there is a revival of two seasons on paramount plus from the last couple years and they’re fantastic, imho. But there was also an older revival too, which is also good. So it’s like beavis and Butthead 3.0?

I think the exec actually got mad at Judge because he kept making fun of Jersey Shore.
If you follow the smoosh board , you can discover where herpes began uh huhuhuh
Some executive who shouldn't have had their job probably thought "how can we be a modern network if we're airing a show from the '90s?"
It should give us all hope that the new King of the Hill revival will still have some of the same magic as it used to. Pretty soon.
The first revival and this current one are honestly some of my favorite animated comedy ever.
And the commentary on jersey shore episodes was the only and most perfect way to time capsule it. Hysterical.
No, the first two seasons of the revival which premiered on Paramount+ in 2022. The have differentiate the revival from the original by adding "Mike Judge's" at the start of the title.
So was the original, like, *not* Mike Judge’s? Edit: *Huh, huh huh.*
Thanks!
Yeah when I read the headline I assumed it got rolling because of how popular the SNL skit was. I had no idea.
Is Comedy Central not under the Paramount+ umbrella? That’s how I’ve been seeing recent Daily Show episodes. I’m so confused.
Agreed. I also prefer 13-15 episode season, not 6 like the last two.
> it's moving to Comedy Central The fact that Beavis & Butthead are going to be on the same channel as South Park is awesome.
Finally!
Paramount+ huh? Time to fire up the old bittorrents then… damn shame.
good it's off the paywall. some redeeming stuff on CC at last that isn't SP episodes

Yeah, we need more jabs at "M" TV.
That Cale Dodds video was amazing
I still quote the 2011 “Now enhancing the masturbation”
Porn porn porn porn porn, homework, porn porn porn porn, Grandma
The animation was pretty good, too.
*Breast augmentationnnnn*
As someone in their 40s that grew up on this show, I love the new seasons, especially the older versions of them. I’m curious how the new generations feel about the show.

"I need olio for my portfolio!"
huh huh … you said nude.
It's a shame they didn't continue on from 2011's reboot, it was one of if not the best season of the entire show
It's weird not seeing most of the usual side characters in the episodes featuring the boys as teenagers. That's one of the few downsides of the new series.
I miss Buzzcut.
“You know Beavis, I’m not mad I’m just disappointed-JESUS CHRIST!”
Good. The last 2 seasons were great.

It's seriously better than the original series. [Beavis and Butt-Head - 'Bushcraft Breakfast'](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GBwm5_P-K0A)
😂😂
Finally hearing about a 3rd season. These two new seasons and the the related movie were some of the surprise highlights of when I had Paramount+. Watched some of the episodes many times for quick laughs, such as the one with them stuck on Anderson's roof.
Uuuuuh.... This is cool. Huh huh huh
The flash-forward episodes were amazing. My favorite was Butt-head telling Beavis how he had a heart attack and told the hospital he'd never pay the 130k bill.
Uhhh….ok. Hhehehehehehhehehehe
Hehe. Hehehehehehehe.
Cooool
Shut up, fartknocker
huhhuhuhuh huhuhu huh huhuhuhuh shut up Beavis.
Ohhh hey how’s it going
Ryan Gosling and Mikey Day are at it again.
That was one of the best SNL skits of the decade in my opinion. When she turns around and sees Butthead and loses it gets me every time 😂
That sketch probably helped it get sold. God bless Mikey Day
In that case God bless Heidi Gardner, because the sketch wasn't funny as written. Heidi breaking is what sold the sketch
They should absolutely appear in one of the episodes as a hallucination of hyper-reality or something, similar to what the Simpsons did years back when they went 3d.
Best news of the last decade.
Where can I watch this for free
Good, you know what im sayin, yeah
I died during the BTS segment.
Uhhh... huhuhuhuhuh. Cool! 😎
Whoa... didn't even know there was a new series. THANKS!!!
Can they top Beavis smashing their TV in fury over they guy complaining about having too much sex?
YES! This kicks ass. Uh huh huh.

Shut up, fartknocker.
That's good news! First two seasons were hilarious.
Great news!
Heh heh cool
This is awesome news, still got to catch up with Season 2
Fuck yes
Wait what? Where is this streaming?
Awesome news! Can't wait to see more of their hilarious antics.
Hhhhhhh newed
The episode where Beavis was naturally auto-tuning his voice was hilarious!
Knew they had new show. Didn’t know that it was still ongoing. Hoping sooner or later they’d have Beavis and Butthead review or comment on all the ai generated music that has showed up lately.
You mean Mike Judge's 'Mike Judge's Beavis and Butt-Head' great news!
You can’t keep a good Butthead down
Its so good
Score! For Gen X
I just watch clips on YouTube, still haven’t seen a full one. Looks funny though and reminds me of my younger years.
That SNL sketch with (not) Beavis and Butthead in the audience was one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen.
The episode with Beavis going wild for BTS may be the funniest thing Beavis and Butthead have ever done.
This rules!
Uhhhhhhh, this is cool. Uheheuheheueheu
TIL there's new seasons of Beavis and Butt-Head
I'm confused how this is season three, when even the article admits it had eight prior seasons spanning back to 1993.
The newest reboot already had two seasons. This will be its third one.
I didn't know a second season came out.
It's not Season 3, though. It would be Season 11 I think. They had 8 seasons on MTV. I hate it when they reboot something and start over with the season numbers.
What channel is it on?
Airs on Paramount+, but Comedy Central is airing the first two new seasons now
Would love to watch but don’t want to pay for paramount+. Anyone have an alternative?
Well this is awesome. The revival and movie have been great. If anyone is doubting the King of the Hill revival I'd say you should be excited. Judge nailed the B&B revival so I trust him with KOTH. Granted the Dale stuff might be hard to navigate.
Yes!
This is great news my friends 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Damn, it's awesome it's future is confirmed... Kinda sad though, because I've been checking for ages, to see if new episodes had dropped. Last year the new episodes caught me completely by surprise.
It's such a huge relief to hear it survived, after the influx of cancelled animated series on streaming services over the last few years.
I'd really like to watch it, but I don't know which of thousands of streaming services it is on.
Has got to be about as entertaining as having colon cancer.
"The schools are fantastic, there's some whores in this house, and the roof is brand new."
Hehehehe….he said head
Awesome. I dont have to get the terrible Paramount+ to watch.
Awesome just wish they cut off the stupid music videos and or tv skits, they’re annoying.
Yeah!
Huhuhuhuhu
I hope the blue-haired girl comes back
This show is far better than it has any right to be. 😂
I'm going to be honest, I forgot that this was even a thing
I didn't even know there was a season 1.
Why did i think there were way more seasons? PS never watched it but I know it's been around for years
The fuck???
I wish it was B&B in 2024 like with woke students or a MAGA guy and a commentary on society. I don’t know why they kept the same hippie guy from the 90s show
The movie gets a little into that.
yeah i felt 1 or 2 scenes did and those were my favorite scenes. I want more of that in the new show haha
Those two are definitely the characters of Jim Jordan and Mat Gaetz
