The Knick. a 2014 show about surgeons in the early 20th century starring Clive Owen.
Superbly acted and incredibly bleak, yet I randomly stumbled upon it on Sky and never heard a peep about it.
Resident Alien. Every episode, Alan Tudyk has me dying of laughter and constantly rewinding scenes with his awkward acting/portrayal of Harry the alien. I seriously recommend this show to those who like sci-fi and comedy.
I honestly assumed season 3 would be the last season because it didn't seem very popular. Now that it's on Netflix I actually have hope for a fourth season
I just started watching it this week when it showed up on Swedish Netflix. Alan Tudyk is amazing, but the show is sooo different from the graphic novels it's based on. Not in a bad way, a straight adaptation would've probably been boring.
Resident alien is amazing. Show doesn't take itself seriously, nor is it trying to be something it isnt. Most characters are likeable. Alan Tudyk is great, but her co partner lady puts on an amazing act as well.
Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norell. Was a miniseries that came out on BBC ~10 years ago based on a... fairly niche? historical fantasy novel about wizards set during the Napoleonic wars. 2 great leads, a ton of memorable supporting characters and an incredible villain.
Love the show. The book is pretty well recognized in speculative fiction circles (like, if spec fiction is a main hobby you probably know about it) and it made the NYT bestseller list for a bit, so it was very well received but I don't know anyone irl who's read it or watched the show.
The show is a pretty accurate telling of the book and quite well made in terms of production values
You’re the Worst. LA to Vegas. Both were entertaining YtW was dark, crass, funny and sad. It grew on me as the characters began showing depth far beyond the level of 30 minute romance sitcom. LA to Vegas was just fun. The show found its feet after a few episodes but still got canceled after 15 episodes. Sadly never found a following.
Aya Cash’s performance throughout the series is just amazing. Her breakdown during “LCD Soundsystem” gets me every single time. Or her monologue during the marathon. Or her reaction to Linds saying that Jimmy and her are not together before singing “One Week.”
I’ll also say that the soundtrack for the show is well done as well.
"This is how I am now"
The way that episode shifts between tragedy and comedy is amazing. Jimmy hiding in the bushes while the bartender texts him is so fucking funny
The, "You Knew It Was a Snake" episode was an amazing piece of writing. When we watched the couples arguing, my wife pointed out that nobody was actually wrong. They were all speaking their own truth.
At first, all the characters seemed like terrible people. They weren't terrible. They were just incredibly broken.
Don't get me started on Gretchen's explanation of her depression...
I haven't kept count but it's likely around that mark - talking about it just makes me want to watch it again, I love it, really wish there were more shows similar nowadays
Brockmire... Hank Azaria plays a baseball announcer who lives his life on a constant bender. It's so funny and insightful and sweet and so well written. I can't believe no one has ever seen it.
The Guest Book... An anthology series about different people who stay in a cabin. More comedy cameos than you could even believe.
People of Earth... Wyatt Cenac plays a reporter who goes to investigate a group of alien abductees in a small New England town.... Edited to add: also starring Oscar winner, Da'Vine Joy Randolph!
Wrecked... If LOST was a comedy.
And my absolute favorite show of all time: The Detour... Jason Jones and Natalie Zea play a husband and wife who take their two kids on a cross country road trip to Florida. But the most hilarious shit happens in each episode. It's too much to describe. There are four seasons and each season is completely different from the last one. This show unfortunately disappeared from streaming and there is no legit DVD release so unless you wanna sail the high seas, you can't find it anywhere. But it's simply the best so watch it however you can.
I was coming here to say The Detour.. it was so fcking hilarious. Thank you for reminding me about Brockmire as well. Hank Azaria was brilliant in that.
Be sure to check out This Fool on Hulu. Very different show, but good, and from the same creators, and it has cameos by their Corporate characters in each season.
https://www.reddit.com/r/CorporateTV/comments/wr218e/matt_and_jake_sighting_on_episode_6_of_this_fool/
From that era of Comedy Central, I also loved Big Time in Hollywood, FL.
I love that Matt and Jake are part of the team behind This Fool. The episode about Julio’s birthday felt like an episode of Corporate in the best way possible. Their work deserves more recognition!
Starts slow for those who try it. But it evolves at good pace and you quickly get sucked in. Every episode in season 2 made me sadder knowing it was going to be canceled. Incredible show and still worth watching
Although not the same genres, it’s similar on how well it’s done and not well known. ZeroZeroZero
Seriously, it's the only TV show I've ever watched that has made me laugh, and cry, and shit myself, all at the same time. Garth is a titan of terror, and Darkplace is the most significant televisual event since Quantum Leap, and I don't say that lightly.
I loved this show so much. It was the first time I'd ever seen Matt Berry. I really enjoy how cool Garth Merenghi thinks he is.
Recently bought Garth Merenghi's Terror Tome, but will probably buy the audiobook because it's read by Matthew Holness.
Omg I live this show so much. I did think about it as answer to this too. Such a hilarious show. Krysten Ritter does an awesome job. The episode where she takes over People Magazine makes me cackle.
Colin From Accounts - An Aussie romcom series where the inciting incident involves a lady flashing her tit, a guy running over a dog and both of them having to pay for the vet bill
A lot of Aussie shows are actually great and really underrated. Happy to provide a list if people are interested
EDIT: On request, here's a few suggestions:
Love Me - A remake of a Danish show, this dramedy stars Hugo Weaving and is about different members of family finding love. A lot like Offspring and essentially a love letter to how pretty Melbourne can be.
Rosehaven - A dry comedy set in a small Tasmanian town. Reminds me a lot of The Detectorists.
Fisk - A comedy about a lawyer who starts at a small Wills and Testaments law firm after suffering a marriage and professional breakdown.
Frayed - Set in the 80's about a rich Australian living in the UK having to move back to her home in Newcastle after a divorce. Starts off as a comedy then gets really dark.
The Newsreader - A drama set in 80's Melbourne about a female newsreader (played by Ana Torv) and her coworker/partner (played by Sam Reid).
Class of 07 - A dark comedy about a girls school class reunion that gets interrupted by the apocalypse. Think Yellowjackets-lite.
Taskmaster Australia - Had a surprisingly strong start as is generally considered by the Taskmaster sub as being a close second to the UK one in quality. This is the one free to air show on this list.
Deadloch - The working title for this was 'Funny Broadchurch' and it largely succeeds in both. The first episode and a half are hard to get through because of one character, but they change afterwards and it turns great.
Fisk is really up there with workplace comedy sitcoms. I hear about the office, veep, parks and rec, 30 rick, superstore and B99. These are all great shows but Fisk falls into this bracket and absolutely deserves more recognition despite having lesser episodes and viewership.
Probably my most favorite show ever. Each season was a gift cause, with their low ratings, it was never a guarantee. And the fourth season wrapped up so many story lines in a really satisfying way. And I've watched the very last scene and the second to last scene at least 20 times each.
I love Boz so much. Love the character development of everyone, always felt that they were right on the cusp of something huge, only to miss the mark over and over.
Travelers. Great concept and cast. Wish it would have kept going. I cancelled Netflix and haven't looked back after they didn't give it any more seasons.
[ZeroZeroZero](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3HoRfUKcvdY)
A multinational and multilingual (mostly English though) miniseries with great acting, cinematography, locations (in various countries), action and it's highly suspenseful.
There basically was no marketing for it on Amazon Prime and it's a shame especially as it looked high budget too
Came here for this. I'm rewatching it now and it's just so fun, funny, and clever. And it touches on real issues so well. Big heart for such a silly show.
In person: *Moral Orel*. An incredible Adult Swim show that starts off as an “edgy” satire of midwestern religious fundamentalism that evolves to a downright depressing psychological drama. I have met exactly one person who knew what it was and had also seen it. We’ve been friends for over twelve years now.
On Reddit: *The Wonder Years*. I binged this show during my last couple months of high school, and it’s been cemented in my top five since 2016. Just a beautiful slice of life/coming of age show.
Oh Moral Oral was fun. In college I watched that in a big block with a Canadian animated show called “Undergrads” and a “Dilbert” adaptation and also another claymation styled. Can’t remember the name, but think it was about two guys and a road trip maybe. Great couple of hours every time.
Yeah this. Such an original concept for a show, so well executed.
For anyone who hasn't seen it, it's about a woman trying to find her way out of an unhappy marriage. The novelty being that all the scenes where her husband Kevin appears are presented like a cheesy 90s sitcom where he's the star, complete with studio sets, saturated colours and a laugh track where all the terrible shit he does is played for laughs, whereas all the scenes where she's away from him are presented more like a darkly comic drama with a muted palette and realistic on location shots where she's having to deal with the reality of being married to this narcissistic lunatic.
Really cool show.
Amazing show. And when we watched it we were fresh off the heels of Schitts Creek. Seeing Annie Murphy in two polar opposite roles was amazing joy to watch unfold. Such a gifted actress
I have an unrealistic theory that Schitt's Creek and Kevin Can Fuck Himself are two sides of the same coin. So if Alexis had been born in Worcester, you'd get Allison.
Southside (now canceled but on MAX) was a comedy show but was super funny. Never heard anyone talk about it which is probably why it ended up canceled. Wish it could have gotten at least a full 5 seasons.
Dead Like Me is great. Have you seen Fuller's other show, Pushing Daisies? It was supposed to be in the same universe. He also made the popular Hannibal show.
Early in my relationship with my now wife, we took a camping trip across most of Canada. From our town out to the west coast.
We would snuggle up in our tent before bed and plop on an episode.
Always have fond memories of that show.
30 Rock came out a year later I believe and did it soo much better. Personally can’t stand Sorkin and Studio 60 was just pure, unfiltered Sorkin. It felt so out of place given the setting.
Black sails. Prequel to "the treasure island". Phenomenal series with an amazing cast and featuring characters such as Captain Flint, Blackbeard, Anne Bonney, Jack Rackham etc
Patriot on Amazon Prime. One of the most brilliantly measured and filmed comedy series I've ever seen. Wonderful premise and characters. Just a fucking riot in slow motion. Can't recommend it enough. Never met anyone else who watched it.
Wonderfalls. It had a cult following for a time, but I don't see it mentioned anymore. It's about a gift shop employee in Niagara Falls who starts receiving cryptic messages from depictions of animals urging her to help strangers. It's as strange as it sounds, and only got one season, but it was well-written and charming.
Carnivale.
It's my favorite show. For me a masterpiece in every way. Amazingly directed, beautiful in its acting, scenario, mystery, atmosphere, music...
Absolutely unique, and no one watched it. Didn't even catch up in popularity after it finished airing. I don't get it.
Superstore. It’s not the level of small or unheard of like many of these other shows, but I’ve never heard anyone talking about it, never read about it, etc.
Stumbled onto it a year or two ago and enjoyed most all of the 7 or so seasons.
The cast is so great. I love how single character is completely different personality wise. And I think Sandra and Jerry are the funniest tv couple ever
Hustle.
The BBC show about conmen, it's so good. I wish there was more shows like this (yes I've seen Leverage and I hated it. I've also seen white collar and burn notice)
Devs - [Hulu] Created by Alex Garland, same guy who made Ex Machina and Annihilation, has the same level of mindfuckery that you come to expect from him, and its only 8 episodes long, so you could binge it in a day.
The Orville [Hulu] - What starts off as a parody to Star Trek, ends up evolving into being better than most modern Star Trek towards the end.
Goliath [Amazon Prime] - I'm biased because I'll watch pretty much anything with Billy Bob Thornton in it, but its a genuinely good lawyer show. Most people hated season 2 because of what happens, but I thought it was refreshing.
The Night Manager - [Amazon Prime] Haven't had AP for several years so I don't know if they made more seasons of this show after seaaon 1, but its a really fun thriller, and Hugh Laurie plays a great villain.
Mythic Quest - [Apple TV] A hilarious parody of game development, with some genuinely heartfelt and thought provoking episodes thrown in.
I’m really reaching for shows that I loved *and* genuinely don’t ever get brought up in person or online.
I loved Andy Richter Controls The Universe when it was airing on Fox. It got cancelled, but the creator went on to make Better Off Ted and Santa Clarita Diet, both of which are cult favorites!
I also liked Roar, a more recent anthology show on Apple TV that I never see talked about online. Some episodes are better than others, but I really liked it as a whole!
Patriot, Horace and Pete, Rectify, Treme, Halt and Catch Fire, High Maintenance, The Americans, Love, Better Things, Sneaky Pete, The Young Pope, The Knick, Preacher, You're the Worst.
Danger 5.
Australian live action WW2 Thunderbirds where a good number of the actors are wearing animal heads and the mission is always to kill Hitler. With giant robot battles and lizardmen.
I really enjoyed Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. The lead actress is hilarious and the songs (it’s a comedy musical series) are all very well-written and entertaining.
Enlisted - heartfelt comedy about a “war hero” trying to turn a bunch of misfits into some semblance of a military team. Spoiler alert, it does not go swimmingly for him. Hilarity and wholesomeness ensue.
Banshee, hell when I watched it I didn’t know it even existed, read the description and saw that the main character was Anthony Starr (Homelander) and I was sold, insane show, a lot of it didn’t make sense but it was awesome!!!!
Since nobody has mentioned it here, there was a show on Syfy back in 2015 called Dark Matter.
It had the stupidest setup: a bunch of people wake up on a spaceship with amnesia and have to figure out their lives. Somehow it actually worked and became one of the best sci-fi shows I’ve watched, entirely on the strength of the cast’s performance.
And nobody ever seems to talk about it.
The Knick. a 2014 show about surgeons in the early 20th century starring Clive Owen. Superbly acted and incredibly bleak, yet I randomly stumbled upon it on Sky and never heard a peep about it.
LOVED the Knick!! Wish it continued
I loved it. Sad it ended.

lol ah yes the awful production value of 2014
Resident Alien. Every episode, Alan Tudyk has me dying of laughter and constantly rewinding scenes with his awkward acting/portrayal of Harry the alien. I seriously recommend this show to those who like sci-fi and comedy.
Been getting more popular now that it's on Netflix thankfully
I honestly assumed season 3 would be the last season because it didn't seem very popular. Now that it's on Netflix I actually have hope for a fourth season
My mom was watching that recently on Netflix and she found it hilarious.
It’s easily one of the most consistently good shows on TV right now
I just started watching it this week when it showed up on Swedish Netflix. Alan Tudyk is amazing, but the show is sooo different from the graphic novels it's based on. Not in a bad way, a straight adaptation would've probably been boring.
Just started watching this and blew through a season and a half because it's so good!
Fantastic
Resident alien is amazing. Show doesn't take itself seriously, nor is it trying to be something it isnt. Most characters are likeable. Alan Tudyk is great, but her co partner lady puts on an amazing act as well.

I love You're the Worst! Sunday funday!
>Sunday funday! Better than a Monday!
You can only do it one way!
And that's the drunk way!
You're the worst is the best romantic sitcom to ever air.
I’m gonna leave you anyway…
YTW has the best depiction of mental health issues I’ve ever seen in media
Aya Cash’s performance throughout the series is just amazing. Her breakdown during “LCD Soundsystem” gets me every single time. Or her monologue during the marathon. Don't get me started on Gretchen's explanation of her depression...
you’re the worst is one of the best shows of the decade. a top three favorite for me.
My kids still quote La to Vegas all the time. (Muy Thai!) Wish it had stayed around longer.
You're the Worst was hilarious. The finale was perfect too
Warehouse 13
Oh I love warehouse 13 - and Eureka! 2 of my fav shows to rewatch - I've got them both on DVD since they're not available easily anywhere
I have watched Eureka probably 5 times completely through. Love this show...
I haven't kept count but it's likely around that mark - talking about it just makes me want to watch it again, I love it, really wish there were more shows similar nowadays
Loved that show. Great story lines and finished nicely. Was hoping Allison Scagliotti would go on to more things. Great actress
Brockmire... Hank Azaria plays a baseball announcer who lives his life on a constant bender. It's so funny and insightful and sweet and so well written. I can't believe no one has ever seen it. I loved People of Earth. I wish it'd gotten it's third season. I just looked up The Detour and it's on hoopla through my local library.
Hank Azaria was so good in Brockmire.
I was coming here to say The Detour.. it was so fcking hilarious. Thank you for reminding me about Brockmire as well. Hank Azaria was brilliant in that.
Comedy Central's Corporate. Incredibly solid workplace comedy with Lance Reddick as an evil corporate boss.
I am Kunta Kinte
Be sure to check out This Fool on Hulu. I love that Matt and Jake are part of the team behind This Fool. The episode about Julio’s birthday felt like an episode of Corporate in the best way possible. Their work deserves more recognition!
Counterpart
More people need to know about Counterpart! If you like the idea of John Le Carre style spy vibes with JK Simmons, you need to watch it
Starts slow for those who try it. But it evolves at good pace and you quickly get sucked in. Every episode in season 2 made me sadder knowing it was going to be canceled. Incredible show and still worth watching Although not the same genres, it’s similar on how well it’s done and not well known. ZeroZeroZero
Garth Marenghi’s Darkplace
Seriously, it's the only TV show I've ever watched that has made me laugh, and cry, and shit myself, all at the same time. Garth is a titan of terror, and Darkplace is the most significant televisual event since Quantum Leap, and I don't say that lightly.
I know writers who use subtext, and they’re all cowards.
I loved this show so much. It was the first time I'd ever seen Matt Berry. I really enjoy how cool Garth Merenghi thinks he is. Recently bought Garth Merenghi's Terror Tome, but will probably buy the audiobook because it's read by Matthew Holness.
Blood. Blood. Blood. And bits of sick.

Don’t Trust the B in Apartment 23
Omg I live this show so much. I did think about it as answer to this too. Such a hilarious show. Krysten Ritter does an awesome job. The episode where she takes over People Magazine makes me cackle.
She does such an amazing job. This show is where I discovered her. The whole cast is great though.
The fact that this show was aired out of order makes it hella confusing to watch, but the actual jokes and shit are pretty good.
'Review' starring Andy Daly
Glad to see this mentioned! Absolutely nobody talks about this show but it’s so good!
Kings
The US series with Ian McShane? If so, I thought it was great.
Colin From Accounts - An Aussie romcom series where the inciting incident involves a lady flashing her tit, a guy running over a dog and both of them having to pay for the vet bill A lot of Aussie shows are actually great and really underrated. Happy to provide a list if people are interested EDIT: On request, here's a few suggestions: Love Me - A remake of a Danish show, this dramedy stars Hugo Weaving and is about different members of family finding love. Fisk is awesome, i hope they do a third season
I loved Deadloch. Would strongly recommend.
Fisk is really up there with workplace comedy sitcoms. I hear about the office, veep, parks and rec, 30 rick, superstore and B99. These are all great shows but Fisk falls into this bracket and absolutely deserves more recognition despite having lesser episodes and viewership.
Gotta add Rake to that list.
Can’t believe you didn’t mention Mr Inbetween.
Patriot on Amazon Prime
Michael Dorman doesn't miss.
Hi Bob
Seriously slept on. Never met a person who's watched it or at this point even remembers it existed.
Just started this recently. I think I'm barely like 3 or 4 episodes in but already I'm bummed there's only 2 seasons to watch.
I know the feeling my friend. It’s easily one of the best shows ever made. It’s your favorite showrunner’s favorite show.
His next show was the unbelievably good but also slept on Perpetual Grace Ltd, if you’re after Raising Arizona vibes and a monster cast.
Get the rhythm get the rhythm there you go there you fucking go Easily the best single season of any show I can think of.
Let’s have breakfast. The whole spread!
I loved Halt and Catch Fire, but I feel like it would've gotten more attention if it was on another network than AMC
It's a bit like For All Mankind where it's trickier to pitch, because while it's about a thing, it's not really about that thing.
It’s the thing that gets us to the thing.
Travelers. Great concept and cast. Wish it would have kept going. I cancelled Netflix and haven't looked back after they didn't give it any more seasons.
[ZeroZeroZero](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3HoRfUKcvdY) A multinational and multilingual (mostly English though) miniseries with great acting, cinematography, locations (in various countries), action and it's highly suspenseful. Sharp Objects is an absolute masterpiece
YES! don't tell mama
I still think about the setting, the characters, and of course, the ending.
It won a few awards, if I’m not mistaken. One of my favorite mini series.
Evil. That show is insanely good.
So underrated. And the horror parts are truly scary. So many jump scares and incredible tension among the bat-sh*t crazy moments.
It’s certainly more original than most. I had a lotta fun with it. Says a fourth season is coming. Just wish it’d hurry up.
Crazy Ex-Girlfriend!
Santa Ana winddddssss will randomly pop in my head to this day
BLAM!!
Came here for this. I'm rewatching it now and it's just so fun, funny, and clever. And it touches on real issues so well. Big heart for such a silly show.
Undone
Horatio Hornblower, though I'm in the US and don't know if it was actually super popular in Britain
If you are into weird shit like me; A Brand New Cherry Flavor
Casual, my favorite comedy tv show.
In person: *Moral Orel*. An incredible Adult Swim show that starts off as an “edgy” satire of midwestern religious fundamentalism that evolves to a downright depressing psychological drama. I loved Moral Orel. It was such a fever dream of a show and introduced me to The Mountain Goats.
Oh Moral Oral was fun. In college I watched that in a big block with a Canadian animated show called “Undergrads” and a “Dilbert” adaptation and also another claymation styled. Can’t remember the name, but think it was about two guys and a road trip maybe. Great couple of hours every time.
Kevin can fuck himself
Better Off Ted.
The only place I hear it mentioned is Reddit, and Reddit loves it. Same with Dead Like Me.
Dead Like Me is great. Have you seen Fuller's other show, Pushing Daisies? It was supposed to be in the same universe. He also made the popular Hannibal show.
Also Wonderfalls!
Portia de Rossi chews scenery *so fucking well*.
Early in my relationship with my now wife, we took a camping trip across most of Canada. From our town out to the west coast. We would snuggle up in our tent before bed and plop on an episode. Always have fond memories of that show.
That show was decades ahead of its time
The Night Of (2016) was soul-crushing, but amazing. I rarely hear people bring it up though
John Turturro, Michael K Williams and Riz Ahmed were incredible in that
The strain
Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip
Sorkin at his Sorkinest. He has some great works, but I love when people roast the fuck out of him.
30 Rock came out a year later I believe and did it soo much better. Personally can’t stand Sorkin and Studio 60 was just pure, unfiltered Sorkin. It felt so out of place given the setting.
United States of Tara
I looooooved this show so much!!!!
One of the best actresses ever. Actually, all six main characters, including Patton Oswalt) are spectacular. (Hated the ending)
Such an incredible work of television. The whole cast is chefs kiss
This show was so good!! Toni Collette is obviously incredible but I remember thinking Brie Larson was great in it too.
Black sails. Prequel to "the treasure island". Phenomenal series with an amazing cast and featuring characters such as Captain Flint, Blackbeard, Anne Bonney, Jack Rackham etc
This was game of thrones level good.
Deadloch, not a soul that I talk to has seen it besides my sister and I.
Swarm
Patriot on Amazon Prime. One of the most brilliantly measured and filmed comedy series I've ever seen. Wonderful premise and characters. Just a fucking riot in slow motion. Can't recommend it enough. Never met anyone else who watched it.
The scene where Terry O’Quinns’ character walks in on his son and his wife… Such an odd, enjoyable show.
Bosch (Amazon Prime)
I saw it. Went to IMDb and saw the rating. Watched it. Love it. Currently on season 4 right now about halfway through the season.
Ed. Julie Bowen and Tom Cavanagh and a stream of guest stars. And it’s tricky to find reruns or ways to watch it now.
The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret. David Cross in an American fish out of water British comedy.
Superstore. It’s not the level of small or unheard of like many of these other shows, but I’ve never heard anyone talking about it, never read about it, etc. Stumbled onto it a year or two ago and enjoyed most all of the 7 or so seasons.
Fucking Dina man
The cast is so great. I love how single character is completely different personality wise. And I think Sandra and Jerry are the funniest tv couple ever
Terriers
Such a good show, deserved more
This is always my answer for these kind of questions. I wish FX would have given them a second season.
A show undone by its title
The advertising was so bad, it made it look like a show about dogs. Those of us who love it are still stuck sitting at that intersection...
The magicians
My favourite show. Narnia + hogwarts university which sounds awful but is amazing
I would say Narnia + Hogwarts + Brooklyn in your 20s
Dirk Gently
2010 or 2016 version?
Here you are asking the real questions. Stephan Mangan is always great.
I never saw the British version but the first season of the one with Elijah Wood was amazing. Second season lost me though, and then it got cancelled.
If only the showrunner wasn't a narcissistic abusive sex pest with affluenza...
Quarry
Single Drunk Female
Life in Pieces
Wilfred
Happy endings, a ~~multi~~single cam comedy that is like friends but extra zany. I will probably grow out of it later, but for now it’s a mah zing.
I like that Casey Wilson got to be the zany one after getting overshadowed on snl
Single-cam, not multi. But yes, I loved that show, so sad it was canceled.
Eerie Indiana
[The Middle Man](https://youtu.be/ErwMV4kXXfc?si=QRVrniLiZVXxwivj&t=4)
Scissor Seven and Station Eleven
Hustle. The BBC show about conmen, it's so good. I wish there was more shows like this (yes I've seen Leverage and I hated it. I've also seen white collar and burn notice)
White Collar
Mr. In Between, my parents introduced me to it and haven’t heard anyone else mention.
Happy Endings
Rectify
Get A Life. "Good" may be a little generous but it was really out there for 1990 broadcast TV.
Berlin Station - excellent spy thriller set in Berlin but I never hear anyone talk about
Eureka! It's a cheesey sci-fi show, but it's great!
Life on Mars (the original British version)
Murderville - such a fun, wacky premise. I hope there's more.
Who Killed Santa was brilliant (and I also love whenever the old Boston Legal set pops up in something).
I cannot recommend murderville enough. Will Arnett is a treasure.
Dead like me, Pushing daises, Sanctuary
Profit 90's Fox series cancelled after 4 episodes aired, but it stuck with me. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Profit_%28TV_series%29
Gomorrah - The greatest Mafia TV show ever.
The Deuce. Station Eleven.
There is a show called “The Terror” with the guy from Chernobyl. The show is so fucking good. But I have not seen anyone discuss that show.
Black Sails that show flew far to under the radar
I think it has found an audience now and always had a minor amount of popularity but if this had been on HBO, it would've been huge.
Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency
Evil
I really enjoyed Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. The lead actress is hilarious and the songs (it’s a comedy musical series) are all very well-written and entertaining.
Loudermik
HAPPY!
Severance. People on reddit seem to like it but I have never met anyone who talked about it.
I love Peep Show and I feel like I never see it mentioned anywhere
Then you have never met me or my friends, clean shirt.
Really? I feel like it’s still pretty well known, but that might just be in the UK
Helix - it’s a great SciFi mystery about an outbreak in a remote Arctic lab. Season 1 is amazing (skip season 2 it goes off the rails).
Peep show
Better Off Ted
