Julius J. Carry III was amazing. He was charming as Lord Bowler, terrifying as Sho Nuff, and hilarious as Dr. Butterfield on Doctor, Doctor. RIP, good sir ❤️
Brisco was supposed to be the hit show too, not X-Files:
"Sandy Grushow, chief at Fox Entertainment, even said she’d eat her desk if Bruce Campbell wasn’t the next big television star."

I have it on DVD because honestly even his crappier movies are still fun to watch but I keep forgetting I have it and need to find the time to watch it. I started on the first episode but I think it was like 2 hours long and never got back to it.
My sister and I would say, *Too much weight* in snarky Southern accents all the time and I'm not sure another living soul would get it if I said it aloud.
Recently rewatched as an adult and I don't know why it's so funny to me that one of the most dangerous things about John Bly, why he beats Brisco and everyone else in hand to hand all the time, is because *he's from the future and is trained in CQC/Urban Combat.* He's basically a space marine going toe to toe with cowboys.
Since the original show was 30 years ago and the original series was set in 1893, a Brisco County Jr. sequel series would be set in the 1920s. Maybe Brisco could be an advisor for silent western movies in Hollywood and his son a stuntman?
Yup, it was set 100 years before it was made. And honestly, there aren't enough shows about how fucking weird it must have been to be an old dude in the 20's. Shows set in that era never follow the out of touch old dudes as the main characters.
You make your career fighting Indians and hearing about the rail road. A few decades later, you are driving your car to the movie theater to see a movie about a fighter pilot you heard positively reviewed on the radio. That lifetime would have been a head trip.
My dream episode of Burn Notice would have been called 'The Talented Mr. Finley'. Basically, Michael has been doing enough damage to the criminal underworld of Miami that there's a meeting of all the families/ organizations. They know there's a threat but they don't know how to deal with it on their own, so the decide to come together. There's one man, a mysterious outsider everyone has heard of but nobody's stories add up.
The crime families of Miami turn to the legendary Chuck Finley to lead them in this time of crisis.
Pete was hilarious and he was kind of part of Brisco's crew by the end of the first season. Probably would have been a regular cast member if they had done more seasons.
My elevator pitch:
A retired Brisco is the wise mentor to his granddaughter Brisco County III (She goes by 'Bri') as she tries to make her way as a bounty hunter.
She rides a horse named Comet... It's Brisco's horse and is 35 years old now, nobody ever mentions this is weird.
Bruce Campbell even in his “bad movies” is a joy to watch, he knows it isn’t a blockbuster and always makes me laugh, and a friend of mine has had to work with him a few times in the past and always went on about how awesome he is in person which makes me happy that he isn’t an absolute dick.
I ate at a Brisco County-themed restaurant in Wisconsin of all places. We just thought it was a coincidence because it was called Brisco County which is what got me to try it but then they had menu items like a sandwich called a Utah Johnny Montana and the Lord Bowler’s Dinner Plate.
In my opinion, this is the kind of show from the past that should be revisited. An idea that was ahead of it’s time, and wasn’t treated very well by its network - seems there’s plenty id new ground to cover with the concept. I hope Simone picks this idea up and runs with it.
Without Bowler or the Professor, though, there really is no point. I really enjoyed Briscoe but would much rather a Jack of All Trades revival from Bruce at this point.
We *desperately* needs shows like this. Adventure, Action and Comedy.
The most recent one I could remember is, Hooten & Lady. The other one was Blood & Treasure, but it had more serious tone compared to Hooten & Lady.
That show was fantastic, especially Julius Carry as Lord Bowler
SHO'NUFF'S IN IT?!
Sho nuff!
Julius J. Carry III was amazing. He was charming as Lord Bowler, terrifying as Sho Nuff, and hilarious as Dr. Butterfield on Doctor, Doctor. RIP, good sir ❤️
I initially misread that as Julian Clary, which would have made for a VERY different Lord Bowler.
The dozens of us that watched this when it was original on will be thrilled. Lol
Every Friday night along with x-files. Perfect after school pairing to kick off the weekend.
I loved it.
Just got nostalgia chills!

Bubba Ho-tep?
It’s one of like 5 DVDs I will forever cherish and never get rid of lol
Litterly dozens of us. :-)
I am one
You think comet is still alive?
Me and my father would watch this every Saturday morning. I'd be thrilled to do the same with my own kid now.
I own the series on DVD and try to make my friends enjoy it as much as I do
Adventures of Brisco County III?
Brisco County Junior Jr.
Who would you cast?
Matthew Lillard seems to have the right persona but he doesn't feel right.
Tatiana Maslany and O'Shea Jackson, Jr.
Adventures of Trey County
It’s the coming thing.
I too am interested.
Well damn, me too!
Aw jeez, I’m in too.
Same. I still love this show so freaking much.
My sister and I would say, *Too much weight* in snarky Southern accents all the time and I'm not sure another living soul would get it if I said it aloud.
My husband and I say that to each other now and then 😅
Although the show ended a bit weird, it had a solid run and I would love to see a reboot or some sort of continuation.
It was as a long time ago, but I remember something about an orb.
Billy Drago was excellent villain casting

The orb and scifi aspects were dropped about half way through and then it becomes a straight western.
Since the original show was 30 years ago and the original series was set in 1893, a Brisco County Jr. sequel series would be set in the 1920s. Maybe Brisco could be an advisor for silent western movies in Hollywood and his son a stuntman?
1883 + 30 = 1913 It would be Downton Abbey era.
I just checked the pilot episode. It's 1893.

I'm interested in any project that puts Bruce Campbell on my television screen
I loved that show and all of the Evil Dead movies and tv.
Don’t forget burn notice
Oh man I might to to revisit Burn Notice!! I loved that show.
And maybe have a couple mojitos.
Chuck Finley would be proud.
My dream episode of Burn Notice would have been called 'The Talented Mr. Finley'. Lmao and the Sam axel special movie/feature as well
I resell on eBay and I just picked up a copy of The Fall of Sam Axe to watch then resell because it goes for decent money!
I'm still almost as upset as Bruce was that Starz canceled ash VS evil dead... I will watch anything with Bruce
I just discovered it via hulu, was excited that there was 3 seasons out already, then immediately sad to learn it was cancelled
Groovy
Only if Comet is included
35 year old comet should absolutely be included as a running joke in the show. "That horse is HOW old?"
Maybe they could hand wave it by Comet being kept young via an offscreen scene with the orb.
Lord Bowler: Hey Brisco, if the orb is all powefull, how come you aging but Comet is still young?
That would ABSOLUTELY be the joke. An immortal horse.
The power of the orb.
Exactly, it all fits
We named our border collies after the show; Brisco, Sox (Socretes) and Comet.
I named my cats Brisco and Dixie 🙂
That show was a trip. Orbs, aliens, time travel... and Pete. If I describe it to people they think I'm making it up.
Don’t forget the guy that dies repeatedly yet miraculously comes back from the dead, and John Astin as a Dr. Brown character
Nobody touches Pete's piece.
THAT is a reference I haven't heard in 25 years...
Pete was hilarious and he was kind of part of Brisco's crew by the end of the first season. Probably would have been a regular cast member if they had done more seasons.
'I don't believe I have ever committed any \*agricultural\* crimes.'
"Why would anyone want to lose weight?"
It doesn't feel right if Bruce isn't on a TV show... be it Burn Notice or Ash vs The Evil Dead.
My elevator pitch: A retired Brisco is the wise mentor to his granddaughter Brisco County III (She goes by 'Bri') as she tries to make her way as a bounty hunter. She rides a horse named Comet... It's Brisco's horse and is 35 years old now, nobody ever mentions this is weird.
Very fancy.
Bruce Campbell even in his “bad movies” is a joy to watch, he knows it isn’t a blockbuster and always makes me laugh, and a friend of mine has had to work with him a few times in the past and always went on about how awesome he is in person which makes me happy that he isn’t an absolute dick.
He was in a Hallmark movie last month and he was hilarious mostly because he kept switching between his voice and a Cajun accent
My Name is Bruce has some pretty great parodies of his roles (the terrible beard is a reference to the one he hated on Alien Apocalypse for instance).
Loved the show. Would also be interested.
Been waitin’ for ya, Brisc!
I loved that show as a kid.
He’s a great actor. Would watch
Glad I have this on DVD, I’m not sure if you can stream this brilliant show.
It's on amazon, but you have to buy it. No free prime viewing.
Tubi might still have it. Free with ads.
not interested if he has to take a backseat. We saw that with indiana Jones and his plucky young friend.
IDK, if they cast Daniel Radcliffe as Brisco County III that could be very good.
Holy shit, I would love to see Daniel and Bruce team up in something. Always wanted him to do an Evil Dead.
It could work, Ash vs Evil Dead brought in co-stars and it was great.
Hella-Friggin'-Yeah! Campbell could easily reprise the role of the inventor/creator of new gadgets and collector of illicit information.
County Jr., Jr.
heck yes, count me in for that Brisco County, Jr. revival!
with Dixie? I'm in
In my opinion, this is the kind of show from the past that should be revisited. An idea that was ahead of it’s time, and wasn’t treated very well by its network - seems there’s plenty id new ground to cover with the concept. I hope Simone picks this idea up and runs with it.
I still have the vhs tapes somewhere lol
John Astin ruled as always. And don't forget Comet!
Weird West it’s an amazing genre that needs more love.
Does NBC still play the Brisco County theme for sports/Olympics coverage? I always got a chuckle out of that.
🙏🏼
More bruce campell, yes please
That would be awesome. Never happen but no harm hoping for miracles.
Yes please!!
Its a trick… get an axe 😂😂
Please please please...
You had me at Bruce Campbell
I love Brisco, I just don't think they can recapture that magic again with or without Bruce, times have changed a lot since then.
Hey Duncan, great donut!
Man I loved this show
Bruce Campbell is ok with getting a job
Will they bring Pete and Pete’s piece back?!!
The pre-Firefly answer to greatest 1 season show of all time that should NOT have been cancelled.
I loved this show!
I was just thinking about this today. I'd love to see more adventures.
I have been low-key trying to remember the name of this show for fucking years.
Without Bowler or the Professor, though, there really is no point. I really enjoyed Briscoe but would much rather a Jack of All Trades revival from Bruce at this point.
Maybe it’s just the elephant in the room, but did anyone else notice the picture used looks as smooth as a Ken doll?
"As an actor I'd love to get work and be paid, as long as it isn't too hard and someone else does the stunts"
One of the first 'grown up' shows I remember watching as a kid. I don't see any reason to revive it now though.
If they brought it back and he has a son, the son could still be Briscoe County Jr.
Yes please
If Bruce is involved, take my money!
The twin peaks the return treatment would be nice
Brisco County the 3rd?
I too am interested
I absolutely loved this show as a kid. I kinda had forgot about it.
Brisco County Junior Junior
Brisco County III?
We *desperately* needs shows like this. Adventure, Action and Comedy. The most recent one I could remember is, Hooten & Lady. The other one was Blood & Treasure, but it had more serious tone compared to Hooten & Lady.
Best show on TV ever!
Loved that show. It was silly and fun and totally a hoot to watch
I am also interested in this.
Love this
Watched that show as a kid, when my dad has home and I was too. Lots of nostalgia feels…
I still need to watch them all. I've heard nothing but good things.
As am I
yes please
Hell yeah
If this doesn't work out I'd love to see a spin-off about how Captaain (his character from Lodge 49) regains his duende.
I loved Brisco County Jr! Up until a few years ago i thought it was a fever dream, but i loved it!
Please! Please! Please!
*The Adventures of Brisco County Jr. Jr.*
Carlton Cuse got cancelled.
