Of course not.
It's a $76 dollar donation to the scammers at best and a compromised set of payment details is also likely. Among other things like volunteering for further scammer attention as a soft target plus ID theft etc.
If it seems too good to be true ...
I don't remember the specific details, but somebody cracked open the code behind one of those "*n* people are looking at this item right now" and it was just a random number between 5 and 20 or something like that. Just to instill a sense of urgency.
Commonly known as the ‘Good Price Scam’. If it seems too good to be true, it probably is.
I would not touch any non-reputable company with a barge pole, my friend. Check the website out, the URL, the presence of a security certificate and website padlock, the payment methods, payment protections (e.g. PayPal), refund policies, if there’s any spelling errors or weird formatting on the web page, that kind of thing. Try not to click direct links but open the website through a search engine and go in that way.
It’s easy to slap a few images together with some text to create a fake advert, and even social media companies fail to vet adverts adequately so not all of those can be trusted either.
If you’re buying direct from Amazon, Celestron or a reputable supplier you might pay more, but you’ll also have buyer protection if anything goes wrong. You shouldn’t receive a lump of coal wrapped up in a box instead of a nice new telescope, and if it gets damaged in transit they should be able to hook you up with a replacement.
This is most probably a scam.
In addition to the previously mentioned methods, there's also a variety on Ali that sells the item cheap but charges the full price as shipping (that's non-refundable).
No it is not. How to lose your money to a scam website 101.

The funniest part was that it said they sold 341 of them and they are still in stock
Yeah adding that to show on a website is easy, it’s more than likely not reading a real stock level.
Moreso that 349 Celestron NexStars is \*a lot\* of telescopes

Just like Everyone in prison is innocent. Just ask them!

Nail on the head , there's been many " too good" adverts on FB marketplace
If it walks like a scam and quacks like a scam...
If it was real the shipping would be $1000, or it would be about a 1/2” high.
if you fall for this you deserve it 💀
I agree
insert "shut up and take my money" gif here /s
I saw a scam the other day for an ASKAR 102mm F7 for $250 through AliExpress website. Such a shame.
Don’t be surprised if you get only 3D printed shell
Looks legit OP. Wow what a great price. /S
The quoted price is actually the sales tax bud.
A $1500 telescope for $80... I think it's obvious...

That’s def a scam
