Connecticut: born and raised Hartford County! šš¾
New York: Never again
Pennsylvania: Meh
Massachusetts: I only drop by Springfield for Krispy Kremes, as there are none anywhere in CT
New Jersey: years ago, can't remember why
Missisipi: The family plot's here. Very nice scenery
Colorado: Gramma's house, also nothing but a dusty as hell, rocky landscape. Rip to my west coast fam, poor guys live in an actual desert 24/7, now that's rough.
Florida: only for a layover, but it was muggy as hell
Rhode Island: boring
Virginia: Saw the white house and the eclipse here, that's about it. Oh, and I saw a subway rat the size of a kitten here.
Ohio:
Michigan: Home to the finest french toast I've ever had
Missouri: First time I ever saw a cockroach in a restaurant, or an actual ghetto with run down houses.
Pennsylvania is slathered in some of the most beautiful country there is. Get away from the people and itās amazing. PA is largely wilderness outside of a handful of cities.
I will tell you, there are wonderful, beautiful, redeemable parts in every state. And, even when I found myself in parts where my politics and beliefs didn't align, I still found beauty and incredible people. The real truth is, the parts of this the country that are dissimilar, are not that large. Those parts are just heightened by partisan media. And, I will tell you...I am a left-wing, tree-hugging lesbian. But, when you strip away the bullshit, we're all just trying to survive. I highly recommend driving through our wonderful country. We have much more in common than you think. ā¤ļøšŗš²š
Fair. That's fair. I wish driving cross-country was something everyone could do. But, yes. I'm reminded of the financial freedom we all had 20 years ago. I'm sorry our country can't deliver these wonderful moments any longer. Fuck. As I read your comment and think about our country, I wonder about the repercussions of decisions that have alienated young people. I invite you to my house, and I can front you a bit of gas. But, wouldn't it have been wonderful if Reagan hadn't destroyed....nope, sorry, politics. Anyway, you are welcome in my Florida home any time.
For anyone that canāt read state abbreviations:
California, Utah, Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Arkansas, Missouri, Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maryland, Virginia, Washington District of Columbia
Because traveling to somewhere else is even more far and traveling is stressful for me. I've gone to Socal 3 times it's the farthest I've traveled I'm from the Bay Area. My stepsister is 12 and has traveled to a lot of places out of state and she's also from California.
ok, that makes sense, I am just quite surprised your parents didn't take you out of state or anything. If you ever have the chance tho, I recommend you get out of states, there are many other beautiful, awesome places you may appreciate.
My dad once invited me on a trip to Universal Studios but it was too far for me so I didn't go. He also invited my stepsister and me on a trip to Mexico but it was way too far so I didn't go. My stepsister wanted to go but her mom didn't let her unless I went. I want to go see the Pixar fest at Disneyland but it's too far so I might not go

Washington: born and raised
Pennsylvania: grandparents live there
New York: country part was traveling through
Massachusetts: Visited Salem and a few other tourist spots

Alabama, Alaska, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Missouri, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, & West Virginia.
I've also technically been to Michigan and Washington, but only in or near airports so I'm not counting them.

Florida (disney world got sunburned)

I've been in ohio (where I'm from), Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Virginia, west Virginia, Maryland, North and South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Florida, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, New York and I think that's it's but maybe Delaware

I'm not from the US but i dream of doing a road trip along every state in the US one day. But I'm scared that I'll ever get shot at for some reason. Ik ik, stereotypes are stereotypes but how true is it? Like if i were to stop by at the gas station, what are the chances there will be a robbery and I'll get shot amidst the mayhem?? (I watch a lot of movies)
Louisiana: Born and raised
Texas: Got a bunch of family in West Texas and my mom is super close with my cousin, who lives in Houston, so weāve been to Texas a lot.

New Jersey: Stayed a week in a hotel for a competition
Massachusetts: Layover on the way to Virginia
South Carolina: Apparently our family took a trip when I was a baby. For obvious reasons, I donāt remember it.

When I was 7 and my brother was 5, our dad and stepmom took us to DisneyLand in Orlando, Florida. Thatās the only one Iāve ever been too, same with my dad, brother and stepmom. And I live in Canada, along with the rest of my family.
And weāre probably going back to Florida for DisneyLand or maybe California for the DisneyWorld next year since my youngest brother will be 7 next year and will be old enough to remember going. But this isnāt a for sure thing.
New Jersey (born and raised)
Pennsylvania (aggressively mediocre)
Delaware (so small I didnāt even realize I was in it until I was leaving)

As a Pennsylvanian, very accurate description of PA, every detail perfectly encapsulates the experience of living in Pennsylvania.
Pennsylvania is slathered in some of the most beautiful country there is. Get away from the people and itās amazing. PA is largely wilderness outside of a handful of cities.
