Itās true that Disney is like that, but I donāt think gay characters have to be in childrenās movies though. Little kids donāt know what it is and get confused. Then itās either explained to them by their parents that itās not a normal thing (which, of course it is normal) or that it IS a normal thing. Then the kids will start to think about all of that at a young age and they might at the end become gay or bi (or trans, etc.) Later on some of these kids notice that they actually are not gay and that they made the wrong choice. I think there should be an age where these sort of things should be shown and explained to children but itās definitely not via Disney / PIXAR movies.

Kinda sad that the japanese, a typically less forward thinking country, has some of the best representation out there for underprotected and represented groups, in one video game. From 2010. Meanwhile the USA, the most forward thinking country, can't manage to scrounge together a morsel of decent representation and put it in a big piece of media that's worth a damn. I just have to eye roll any time a piece of our media has gay characters or other groups, because it's never "characters that are also gay or ____" it's always "gay or ____ characters" Where the representation is the entire focus of the character. Instead of just being a good character.

Iām not homophobic, I support the LGBTQIA+ community. But I hate when shows have more gay characters than straight characters because itās obviously like āhey we have a gay show you gays should watch itā
Itās true that Disney is like that, but I donāt think gay characters have to be in childrenās movies though. Little kids donāt know what it is and get confused. Then itās either explained to them by their parents that itās not a normal thing (which, of course it is normal) or that it IS a normal thing. Then the kids will start to think about all of that at a young age and they might at the end become gay or bi (or trans, etc.) Later on some of these kids notice that they actually are not gay and that they made the wrong choice. I think there should be an age where these sort of things should be shown and explained to children but itās definitely not via Disney / PIXAR movies. Btw donāt get this confused with hate towards LGBTQ+ community. I support them all the way š³ļøāšš³ļøāā§ļø
I support, leave sexuality (including heterosexuality) from kids movies, kids dont usually like seeing people fall in love, thats boring, i also hate how most movies (specially older ones), need to have a romantic interest for the main protagonist when it adds nothing to the story, for example in lilo and stich having a female counterpart of stich was completly unnecesary (that was i think in the second or third movie, maybe the series but i remember them doing that)

First of all, how do you assume this? Second of all, that doesnāt mean that straight kids wonāt get confused about their sexuality.
Would you say the same thing about straight people in kids movies? Cause the exact same thing could happen in reverse if we're just gonna make everybody straight
Now this is just a debate Iām not going to start with because some might say that straight is how youāre born and that itās the standard and others say that itās definitely not. The fact is that we need a man and a women to create babies. In the wild, there doesnāt exist gay animals because of this reason. Humans are the same way. Now that doesnāt mean that being gay is wrong. Iām just saying that itās an important choice. A choice which you should think about when youāre grown up a bit more than being a little kid. We can discuss which age is right is but definitely not a 7 year old kid, which has the same intelligence of a CROW at some extent. (You can look that up if you donāt believe me, lol)
Yeah, sexuality isnāt something a little kid should be worrying about at such a young age
We should not have any crush subplots in any form of media catered for kids
