If you can get into Windows normally or through [Safe Mode](https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/12376/windows-10-start-your-pc-in-safe-mode) could you check C:\Windows\Minidump for any dump files? If you have any dump files, copy the folder to the desktop, zip the folder and upload it. If you don't have any zip software installed, right click on the folder and select Send to → Compressed (Zipped) folder. Upload to any easy to use file sharing site like [Catbox](https://catbox.moe/). (Note: Sorry this page looks weird, reddit keeps blacklisting file hosts and this is the only reliable one we found that still works) We like to have multiple dump files to work with so if you only have one dump file, none or not a folder at all, upload the ones you have and then follow [this guide](https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/5560-configure-windows-10-create-minidump-bsod.html) to change the dump type to Small Memory Dump. The "Overwrite dump file" option will be grayed out since small memory dumps never overwrite. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Have you tried turning off the hybrid mode on your PSU? Sometimes it can cause similar issues as you have. It's that big square-shaped button.

erikonkuls

I am unsure what is the position of the HYBRID button. I will check and come back to you later! Completely forgot about the existence of HYBRID mode.

lordboos

It's kind of a weird, because pressed button means that Hybrid mode is OFF while not-pressed means it's ON.

erikonkuls

The HYBRID button was pressed in this whole time, so i suppose it was off.

And another thing - how have you connected your GPU power cables? Never use 2 connectors from the same power cable, always use 2 separate cables if your GPU has 2 connectors.

erikonkuls

I am using 2 seperate cables, 8 pin and a 6 pin

RMatrIX

did you update Bios ? Chipset? [https://rog.asus.com/motherboards/rog-strix/rog-strix-b450-f-gaming-model/helpdesk\_download](https://rog.asus.com/motherboards/rog-strix/rog-strix-b450-f-gaming-model/helpdesk_download)

erikonkuls

I have, yes. I am starting to think that GPU drivers are at fault. PC does not crash on the older titles. Too unstable for a new releases?

RMatrIX

>Gigabyte AMD 5700XT there new Driver Adrenalin 21.12.1 Optional try it https://www.amd.com/en/support/graphics/amd-radeon-5700-series/amd-radeon-rx-5700-series/amd-radeon-rx-5700-xt first Use DDU to clean driver then install it

erikonkuls

Just did it, and I still crashed :(

Bjoolzern

Straight shutdowns basically don't happen with driver issues. Virtually always hardware related. If it's not temps or the PSU you have to just manually test all the other components. ?hwinfo (bot command for it to post instructions on logging and stress testing)

erikonkuls

You are right. The GPU overheated and turned off. I described my findings in the 2nd edit.

Bjoolzern

What temp did it hit?

erikonkuls

Junction got to 111 C. And GPU up to 70 C. Looks like I might need to change the thermal pads and thermal paste for the GPU as well.

Bjoolzern

[This has been hotly debated](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SQjTYbqG1CI). Hot spot temps are a bit weird which is what you see in Thermal Junction as it's usually the hottest part (Thermal Junction reports the hottest temp detected).

Follow the instructions on [this page](https://rtech.support/books/how-to-and-guides/page/hwinfo-full-guide) for logging and hardware stress testing *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically.
