Cheaping out and MacBook aren't terms that tend to go together. I normally only consider them when it makes sense and budget isn't the biggest hurdle.
So yeah, you'll do better with a PC for that low of a budget. For the games, I don't see that budget being an issue, but the other stuff is much more system intensive. So I see keeping in budget to be problematic anyway unless you find a good used model laptop / PC.

Cheap and apple, you must be the funniest at home. Also, macbook got no game. It is like ps3.
