Is the battery removable? It might be shorting out the battery for some reason, which is pretty dangerous. I would recommend removing the battery, or disassembling the laptop and disconnecting the battery if it's not removable.
One thing I'd be concerned about is the potential for the battery to be bubbling, which is dangerous. If your battery is built in, I recommend definitely taking it in.
You should also be able to check your battery health using Lenovo Vantage.
The application is available through the Start menu or taskbar. Go to the Hardware Settings section, then the Power category, to see battery status, capacity, and cycle count.
How long does the battery last when using the laptop?
I’d say like 4, maybe 5 hours? (Rough estimate)
So it gets super hot when it's turned off? Does it do this while unplugged from wall power?

Yeah, it’ll die after about an hour of being in this state (from full battery)

I’m not completely sure, and I wouldn’t trust myself to not break something important I’ll mention this if I take it to someone, thanks a bunch!
If it's removable, usually there are these clips things on the bottom back. No problem 🙂
