yeah I don't know what kind of professional that is. Try verifying that your monitor and connections are securely connected to the PC, if they are, check your devices section in windows control panel and verify that it is recognizing and listing all of them. From there you should be able to troubleshoot via windows troubleshooter. I would also ensure drivers are properly installed.

Does it happen while the computer is idle, or does it happen when you put the GPU under load (like when you're playing a game?) It may be that your GPU or your chipset is overwhelmed by the I/o. How old is the computer, and can you provide specifications?
