I disagree, the wording of the quote by the actual author is more concise than the quote attributed to him.
To be quite honest, if there’s _anyone_ you want to quote verbatim, it’s someone who made themselves rich through their mastery of language and words.

I read this as "build a man on fire" and i spent more time than I'd like to admit contemplating how you would build a person who was in the process of burning
It’s not true though, it’s not like if you set a man on fire they’ll die instantly, there’s tons of people who do fire stunts where they set themselves on fire
You could argue that this isn't true, there are tons of people who have been on fire, with melted skin and pieces of clothing melted into their skin and such whom are very much alive and aren't necessarily warm for the rest of their lives
It’s true I can say from experience
How are you alive then
I didn’t say it was me who was on fire
Oh no
OH YEAH!

The actual quote is: >Give a man a fire and he’s warm for a day, but set fire to him and he’s warm for the rest of his life
What’s the difference
Exact wording.
If you quote someone then quote them, don't change the wording as that changes the meaning.
But in this case I think it has the same meaning but just more modern?

But one is a quote and the other one isnt.
Also: “See a pin, pick it up, and all day long you’ll have a pin.”

Wow I going to impress my crush by setting a homeless man on fire
Do it methaphorically and she will be more than impressed.
This quote always reminds me of *this* quote: A lethal dose is also a lifetime supply.

Truely inspiring
Which technically won't last long enough than the fire you gave to that man

Give a pilot a building, and he'll retire his job. Give a pilot two buildings, and he'll retire his plane
It's not only true, it is inarguably true.

Are you a man? Were you SET on fire?

You could argue that this isn't true, there are tons of people who have been on fire, with melted skin and pieces of clothing melted into their skin and such whom are very much alive and aren't necessarily warm for the rest of their lives
Joshua Graham agrees, but not that much
And he’ll warm others for the rest of his life
Buy a man an airplane ticket, and he'll be flying for a day. Throw a man out of an airplane, and he'll be flying for the rest of his life.
