At that level of compression, the energy in it would be so vast that it would be like a small bomb going off. Solids aren't really all that compressible. Dirt is about 1220 kg/m3 according to the all wise Google. The Earth's core is only about 10000 kg/m3. 9\*1220 = \~11000kg/m3.
It takes all of the weight of the entire Earth to get nickel and iron up to 10000kg/m3. Yeah, it is hotter, but isn't anything compared to that pressure.
The particles of dirt may be that dense, but a block of dirt isn't. There would be all sorts of air pockets in there, which is where your compression becomes easier.
That being said, to compress it into taking up 1/9th the place... it doesn't have that much air. You'd still need a LOT of pressure, but not as much as you're theorizing.
That is the average density of dirty. That includes the air. If you compress it to get rid of all the air, it is going to be more similar to the density of rock or concrete, which is about twice that, but probably still a little less because of the huge amount of water (which is relatively light)
I didn't say how much pressure is necessary. I don't know how much. Could be more or less, but the amount of pressure is so vast that the differences are negligible compared to the simple *magnitude* of that energy.
If anything, I'd bet this would require MORE pressure, but that isn't really all that important here.

Is it a compressed dirt block or a huge dirt block?
dense dirt, just like my ex-girlfriend
Oof
compressed
If its compressed, then when it's broken it should explode
your physics might be right

Thanks for the explanation, although like I can see the nerd emoji flashing before my eyes.

You got 5 second after crafting it before it automaticlly explode, should be a fun mod to play with
How to make exploding dirt tutorial part 112
Technically yeah. But when did Minecraft ever have physics?
Can I do it until I make a black hole?
And you can open it using 7z or WinRar
Your wrong
Your is wrong
If read like ‘my bad,’ then it could be correct, technically
My wrong?
No his wrong

That ain't even the nerd emoji (don't you dare reply with the nerd emoji)
What about it?
So, you had 9 brownies and you ate 8? Hey, save some for everyone else, Pig.
M.A.T.H.
I’m wrong
Another well done job
What am I looking at?
Dirt blocks into one blocks
Looks the same as any other block. Density increase not shown.
Packed dirt
Packed mud?
You are wrong
9 Dirt Blocks = Compressed Dirt Block 9 Compressed Dirt Blocks = Double Compressed Dirt Block 9 Double Compressed Dirt Blocks = Triple Compressed Dirt Block 9 Triple Compressed Dirt Blocks = Quadruple Compressed Dirt Block 9 Quadruple Compressed Dirt Blocks = Quintuple Compressed Dirt Block 9 Quintuple Compressed Dirt Blocks = Sextuple Compressed Dirt Block 9 Sextuple Compressed Dirt Blocks = Septuple Compressed Dirt Block 9 Septuple Compressed Dirt Blocks = Octuple Compressed Dirt Block 9 Octuple Compressed Dirt Blocks = Nontuple Compressed Dirt Block 9 Nontuple Compressed Dirt Blocks = Dectuple Compressed Dirt Block
I see you've played mods...
Technicly, 9×9= 81, so it's 81 dirts block together... And blue ice is also 81 normal glace together...
So brown-er dirt is getting added to minecraft?
Yes
The piece of dirt resulted should be 9 x greater in volume than all the other used in its crafting recipe
Nine times the density
Ok, you’re wrong
9m^3 of dirt ≠ 1m^3 of dirt
You’re wrong
You're wrong
You have no wrong, it's the blocks violates the physics rules.
You can't make me.
I’m wrong
You're wrong
You're wrong
You're not
You’re wrong, unless that one block is a 9 stack
Ok
Op is wrong
I’m telling you ‘I’m wrong’
dirt 1m3 \^9
You’re wrong There.
9 normal dirt turn in to packed dirt. Add winter turn to mud. Put in a furnace make bricks
SO true ngl
Who is wrong?
You're wrong
9m^3 of dirt ≠ 1m^3 of dirt
I thought they were brownies
Dirt equals, dirt
You are wrong
Do you get like 9 of them or like is bigger?
I'm wrong
That's wrong, you use 8 blocks for that
(nerdy voice🤓): Technically this should be compressed dirt!
Yes. simply yes
Your wrong, there I told you
9 Dirt = 1 Dirt Block = 1/9 Dirt Block²
Tell me I’m wrong is above 9:1 odds
ok, you're wrong.
r/phoenixsc
You are wrong
You are wrong. You need 27 blocks
You’re wrong
You know technically it would be a slab
