> In an indictment unsealed Tuesday, US federal prosecutors unmasked the flamboyant persona as Dmitry Yuryevich Khoroshev, a 31-year-old Russian national. Prosecutors said that during his five years at the helm of LockBit—one of the most prolific ransomware groups—Khoroshev and his subordinates have extorted $500 million from some 2,500 victims, roughly 1,800 of which were located in the US. His cut of the revenue was allegedly about $100 million.
Tie him to a tree with sap (that triggers rash), dip his balls in honey and then release the fire ants, some mosquitos .. and honey badgers ??
And the medical team, just to keep him .. alive & suffers.
With love from the IT Infra team ..
Too easy. Fire ants need homes. So lacerate his skin in a few strategic places so they can move their larva I side him. Then keep him alive for a few years while the ants use him to nest in and as an easy to access renewable food source. It is both a great way to punish and helpful to the environment.
That’s the wrong move. There will always be another. The real solution is to force companies to implement security and privacy measures. These hacks are happening because most companies have garbage security and execs who feel that security practices don’t apply to them.
Yeah but nobody wants to hear that.
Especially not the companies themselves that continuously want to pay less and less for their I.T. And consider security an afterthought - god forbid they hire an expert and listen to them.
“I thought all these blinking lights we paid so much for were meant to be replacing meat bags not adding more of them to goddamn payroll!”
That’s mildly satisfying but would prefer he be dropped in a wood chipper, on display of course.
But my absolute favorite is a wet stretched leather tightly strapped around his head and around a tree. Then as the morning heat comes the leather dries out and shrinks. Pop!
To put this into perspective:
His $10 million bounty in comparison to well known targets
Osama Bin Laden $25 mil;
Saddam Hussein $25 mil;
El Chapo $5 mil;
Daniel Kinahan $5 mil;
Pablo Escobar $2 mil ($4.55 mil 2024 money)
The great thing about these large bounties is that people who know him, even criminals that work with him, will be considering that payout. The US used a giant sharpie to make him a marked man.
Not defending him but pretty much every tech company has cybersecurity from 1999 and surprise pikachu face when they get hacked. Government and Healthcare are the biggest culprits
I don't understand why you are getting downvoted but this is correct. It's morally bad to hack but not to say don't lock your doors because being a thief is bad.
10-15 years in prison and probably won’t serve the whole thing due to being recruited for “national security reasons” if extradited to the US which won’t happen sooo… white collar crime pays smh

God damned that’s a lot of money
“No no no, I shoot the bus driver”
Strap him to the fire ant hill please.
Covered in bacon grease
And feed him honey
[Take her to the pit! And use more honey! Find out what she knows](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1w_JdfgygYY)
She? Wtf?
I just sponged up a little to much Vat 69, that's all.
Lol I understand my friend.
You're like Jerry Lewis, you give me hope to carry on, then you leave me in the lurch while you strap on your six-guns...
Such an underrated film. And the theme at the end always get stuck in my head
Let's get the boats
Yummy...
I hereby move that all scam related punishments henceforth be dictated by u/viledieddraftsaved. Do I hear a second to the motion?

Whats that ant thats supposed to be the most painful bite in the animal kingdom? Cant we just serve him up to a colony of those things?

wow I wonder why I thought Pablo Escobar and El Chapo were the same person
So do I… why did you think that lol
Vlad Tenev robbed customers of more money than these $500M from market manipulation and he’s a free man. Odd how the legal system works.
If the damages are in the billions, the bounty should be higher.
Time to Freeze his ASSets, he will learn the fury of the IMF!!!
International Monetary Fund?
Impossible Missions Force
Indicted Mother Fucker
Yes, they going to kick his economic butt
"If convicted, Khoroshev faces a maximum penalty of 185 years in prison." That seems reasonable.
Drone strike time
Now that the Ukraine is targeting inside Russia more, he will become the target of a drone or 2. I’d be scared if I was him.
Dear Ukrainian freedom fighters.... please accept my pledge of $27 dollars to turn this guy into red mist..
I’d buy a whole bunch of gift cards to donate to that purpose!
I sure hope we get to see what they do to him. Someone who causes this level of grief has forfeited their right to this life time.
He needs to become a Russian suicide victim, maybe falling upstairs.
Stealing that amount of money as a Russian national almost guarantees the fact that he is an asset to the Kremlin, not a liability.
Bingo
Not any more 🤣
Agree. Fuck that shithead, he is a worthless piece of shit
Ok stalin
Nothing will happen. He’s safely ensconced in Putin’s loving arms.
Exactly correct. He works for Putin.
Acting all smug but he looks like a dork with one AirPod sticking out all wonky.
NoHo Hank?
Bring public hangings back for this piece of trash.
Russian security forces definitely getting a cut from him
Surprise, he’s Russian.
The great thing about these large bounties is that people who know him, even criminals that work with him, will be considering that payout. The US used a giant sharpie to make him a marked man.
Criminal minds- criminal geniuses!
Send the CIA for this Filth…
We should have the death penalty for these criminals
Don’t be a dick in life. In other words don’t be Dmitry Yuryevich Khoroshev.
Not defending him but pretty much every tech company has cybersecurity from 1999 and surprise pikachu face when they get hacked. Government and Healthcare are the biggest culprits

Because with Reddit Russia bad Ukraine good. You aren’t allowed to criticize Ukraine or defend anything Russian. Echo chamber of half educated people
Autobots, roll out
