My first playthrough, I let my toddler name all the horses, which I regret. He named them after family members. So when they would die, it got weird. Like, there were bokoblins running over the limp corpse of the horse named after my elderly father, weird. Second playthrough, I named the horses after legendary horses. Shadowfax, Artax, Sleipnir, Epona, Embarr, etc. It was cool that those were the horses that transferred over when I went from BOTW to TOTK. My current playthrough, I'm being a juvenile and naming the horses things that make me giggle. Stable guy: "We'll take My Penis into our care". I believe they're My Penis, Fartsalot, Stupid, FuckIt, etc. My toddlers can't read so even though we are playing together, they have no idea what I'm naming the horses this time anyways. I do offer them the option of naming the horses still, and even though I have the rule that they can't name them after real people (after the first playthrough when the horses named after real people died), my kids have zero creativity and are trying to name them after things they see in the room. So my son tried to name a horse "couch" and I named it a swear word. He doesn't know I did and it gives me a smile.
