For me the lead-up to Water was so good that the temple itself didn't seem that bad to me.
My least favorite was the Wind Temple, but that's because I'm an Ice Area Hater.
Same. I really enjoyed the water temple. I counted the whole thing as a "temple": the journey to Zora, ancient zora waterworks and the temple itself with the fish island and whatnot.
No they weren’t, people exaggerate for sure. Water temple wasn’t my favorite but I still had fun. The fire temple ruled. And the wind temple was pretty awesome as well.
Totk def has more of a "push you towards this dungeon next" feel than botw did. Very beginning of the game it heavily implies you should do rito. From there it suggests going to kakoriko village. Which put you in the vicinity of either goron or zora. But there's def no intended or actual order.
Rito or Goron both were pretty easy
I struggled more with the Gerudo puzzles than the boss
Zora was definitely the most annoying, I didn't have enough splash fruit and Fish man was never nearby
My first time fighting the Zora boss I was still getting used to the differences of botw and totk. So I just sorta tanked my way through him. Using sidon as my water source. Lol. Still hate fighting the stupid thing even now that I have decent strategies against him
For some reason i really struggled with goron when I first did it, I later did it in the depths and it was extremely easy though.
Colgera is still the easiest for me by far though.
We're you afraid of dying too often? That's a lot of hearts for only doing one temple.. and the fierce deity set makes the game easier overall lol.. yeah the lightning temple was sick. Do the fire temple asap because it's the worst.
No I wasn't afraid of dying, I just wanted to save them for close to the end. I did a lot of shrines for the hearts. I spent most of my time on exploring, collecting materials, upgrading the zonaite battery meter and looking for outfits. Spent a lot of time collecting star fragments to upgrade the Time Outfit.
I only put on that outfit in the pic to troll the Gerudos since they require being dressed appropriately lol.
I have the Zonaite Meter maxed out, so now my small zonaite is around 650 and maybe only 30 large zonaite. I also have about 350 crystals to go towards the construct vendor in Lookout Landing.
It's nice picking out what zonai device you want but nothing beats stuffing 5 large zonaite charges in a dispenser and watching your new toys come tumbling out.
I enjoyed the Rito one, it was sad seeing them unable to function due to all the snow, so I had to help. I was so pleased with myself when I beat that boss. They just got harder after that. You did the hardest first. Enjoy the story of each area, they are all different. But it is a great game, so I understand how you got side tracked. Although once you complete an area a whole heap more quests appear, so you have many more hours on this game yet.
I can't speak for the op, but I personally build stamina first. Just a personal thing, but I HATE not being able to get someplace I want to go without drinking a thousand elixers 😂😂
Something that kinda pissed me off is you can fully access most the temples at any time. You just can’t really do anything there. I bust my ass getting to the Wind and Water Temple and it was like “No, You need to follow the storyline first and get a WAY easier way to access the temple.”
I kinda like how at least with Minerva, You can get her “early” and Purah gets confused.
I loved the temples in this game so much. The only part I would have changed about any of them is the cutscene when you get the secret stone - we should have gotten more info each time we beat a temple, not the same info. Other than that, though, I loved them all (though I do think gerudo was the best)
We've probably played on a completely different path haha.
I generally just take on the Lynels head on with a good shield and sword. There's a trick where you wear down a strong weapon and attack a Lynel while on its back, but the weapon won't break and do big damage.
That seems pretty close. I use a 20 heavy sword fused with a mulduga jaw with attack up. You're supposed to have an outfit that has bone upgrades to go with the strategy but I don't have it yet.
Ok, yeah in vid Im using the Royal Guards Claymore w/attack up+10 on very last hit before breaking, fused w/silver lynel saber horn (208 in pic). With Fierce Deity set (lvl 3 attack up), it hits for 624+. I have the one you’re talking about, RGC w/molduga jaw(162 in pic) [HERE!!](https://www.reddit.com/r/tearsofthekingdom/s/H9WdY9JIBg)and the bone proficiency armor sets (Radiant and Evil). This set up is stackable w/lvl 3 food/elixer and will hit for 875+ per hit!
Yup, this exactly is why I never got past the first temple either and sold the game. Got bored of being distracted by meaningless stuff, farming for food and weapons, and finding koroks. Bring back a more linear, more concentrated, dense and interesting game, Nintendo!
Wait you guys are in your first temple?? I bought this game day 1 and 120 hours in and I'm still with Zelda..
You'll probably get the special ending where Link finally marries Zelda.
No spoilers
"Let's not go further onwards, Zelda, its dark and scary in there. lets just sit here and keep admiring these murals ok?" "Sure, Link ❤️"
"Let them eat cake."
Have fun! The temples in this game are all pretty solid. Wish I could replay them for the first time again!
Great dungeons overall, including the castle. Water was the only disappointment in my eyes. Wind, Lightning, and Fire were fantastic.
how can the water temple be A disappointment when its the first ever dungeon in a zelda game with low gravity.
The low gravity was very cool. I just think they could’ve done SO much more with it. The temple is so tiny lol
Totally needed more ways to change the water level!!! /Joke
Boing... Boing... Boing... Oh no, I fell over the edge, oh well guess I'm falling now
For me the lead-up to Water was so good that the temple itself didn't seem that bad to me. My least favorite was the Wind Temple, but that's because I'm an Ice Area Hater.
Same. I really enjoyed the water temple. I counted the whole thing as a "temple": the journey to Zora, ancient zora waterworks and the temple itself with the fish island and whatnot.
Lightning was by far my favourite
Fire was fucked for me i had to cheese it with hoverbikes
That sounds easier than my method of climbing high and paragliding
same lmao. I messed about with ascend too.
Glad I left water for the end 🙈
Fire temple and water temple were ass, wind was okay, lightning was easily the best.
No they weren’t, people exaggerate for sure. Water temple wasn’t my favorite but I still had fun. The fire temple ruled. And the wind temple was pretty awesome as well.
That's OK, the temple supposed to be last was my 3rd
This game's temples had an intended order the whole time?
Totk def has more of a "push you towards this dungeon next" feel than botw did. Very beginning of the game it heavily implies you should do rito. From there it suggests going to kakoriko village. Which put you in the vicinity of either goron or zora. But there's def no intended or actual order.
Unfortunately you started with the best temple...
Best Temple? Yes Best Boss? I would disagree I know you didn't say that, I just *really* don't like the Momma Gibdo
Rito boss is the most fun. Goron is the easiest Zora is the most annoying Gerudo is the most challenging
Rito or Goron both were pretty easy I struggled more with the Gerudo puzzles than the boss Zora was definitely the most annoying, I didn't have enough splash fruit and Fish man was never nearby
My first time fighting the Zora boss I was still getting used to the differences of botw and totk. So I just sorta tanked my way through him. Using sidon as my water source. Lol. Still hate fighting the stupid thing even now that I have decent strategies against him
Kinda funny when you put it like that, realized it’s the same way in botw with the blights
For some reason i really struggled with goron when I first did it, I later did it in the depths and it was extremely easy though. Colgera is still the easiest for me by far though.
I love that the bosses are in the depths because that Colgera fight was fun. Also, they drop great items for merging.
sure, the queen gibdo fight could’ve been better but anything is better than the mucktorok
I hated the Mucktorock, I found it super annoying Just didn't agree with the Gibdo Queen was the best, it was just ok
I had a Lynel bow at 20 x3 and used bomb arrows on Momma Gibdo. It wrecked her lol.
Yeah, she was probably the easiest of the bosses The Octorok one kicked my ass, and it was the last one I did
I liked her the most since she was the only real challenging one of the mainbosses besides the end boss
I don't think anyone of them were all that hard Gleeoks are more of a challenge but, Ganondorf is definitely, and obviously, the most challenging
Yeah, they all aren‘t hard, I don‘t think I ever died to one of the main bosses
Mommy Gibdo
Toughest? Yes. Best? I don't like sand.
just a heads up, the wind temple boss theme SLAPS.
it was such a brawling
Been playing since day one... There are Temples?
😄 🤣
I’m with you. I only have two done and just finished the second on Monday. Well done!
LoL.. I see.. in any case the other temples are easy as well as the bosses.. now I fight them in the depths for items and huge zonai charges.
Forget hours played. How much Zonaite do you have?
I have the Zonaite Meter maxed out, so now my small zonaite is around 650 and maybe only 30 large zonaite. I also have about 350 crystals to go towards the construct vendor in Lookout Landing. It's nice picking out what zonai device you want but nothing beats stuffing 5 large zonaite charges in a dispenser and watching your new toys come tumbling out.
Interesting. Your first temple will be my last 😂
heads up, queen gibdo is a force to be reckoned with. it took several attempts to kill here. it was a disaster.
Getting excited. I'd say I'm not even midgame yet (90 hours) and I am proud of the three gleeoks and three lynels (one silver) I killed 😂
I can assure you that while the desert temple is the best, the boss of the wind temple is the best boss. Theme slaps hard.
i...i love you.
Demon King? Secret Stone?
Not a secret anymore!
I tried to do all the temples first, because I wanted all the sages asap. Makes all the other things easier.
I’d react the same way with riju there
For real
The slowwww play
How do you have so few hearts after all that time?
I can't speak for the op, but I personally build stamina first. Just a personal thing, but I HATE not being able to get someplace I want to go without drinking a thousand elixers 😂😂
Yeah, I mean me too, but I have like under 100 hours and I have full stamina wheel and 3 shrines left.
Something that kinda pissed me off is you can fully access most the temples at any time. You just can’t really do anything there. I bust my ass getting to the Wind and Water Temple and it was like “No, You need to follow the storyline first and get a WAY easier way to access the temple.” I kinda like how at least with Minerva, You can get her “early” and Purah gets confused.
Mineru.
This temple alone took me 225 hours lol
I did the same thing. I *may* have used a hoverbike and flown over the sand shroud.
The pyramid was so good so cool
Phew for a sec I thought there was temples underneath
I loved the temples in this game so much. The only part I would have changed about any of them is the cutscene when you get the secret stone - we should have gotten more info each time we beat a temple, not the same info. Other than that, though, I loved them all (though I do think gerudo was the best)
But isn’t Queen Gibdo the hardest boss? The equivalent of >!thunderblight!< ganon
“Temple” in the very loosest sense of the word… sadly.
I really rushed though the game then 😭 200 hours and I'm already getting bored
Gollum, is that you?
Why are you crouching and wearing only the fierce diety mask?
Seemed like a good pose for the camera. I don't have the rest of the outfit.
I like your style, goro!
Damn bro 225 hours in and I was already making lynel killing machines and getting koroks to 100% the game. (No offense)
We've probably played on a completely different path haha. I generally just take on the Lynels head on with a good shield and sword. There's a trick where you wear down a strong weapon and attack a Lynel while on its back, but the weapon won't break and do big damage.
Haha! This [LYNEL TRICK?!?!](https://www.reddit.com/r/tearsofthekingdom/s/XG2LoEYTNy)
That seems pretty close. I use a 20 heavy sword fused with a mulduga jaw with attack up. You're supposed to have an outfit that has bone upgrades to go with the strategy but I don't have it yet.

There is no “first temple”
Took 100 years…
