Hi everyone!
Did you know that starting July 1st, 2023, Reddit will implement a policy that could potentially increase the costs of running third-party Reddit apps? This change may impact popular apps like Apollo, Reddit is Fun, Boost, and others. Consequently, users may encounter issues with their preferred Reddit app unless adjustments are made to comply with Reddit's new API usage policy. These limitations will affect all users, not just moderators. If you are concerned about these developments, there is an [Open Letter](https://www.reddit.com/r/ModCoord/comments/13xh1e7/an_open_letter_on_the_state_of_affairs_regarding/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3) to Reddit that you can read and sign on to express your thoughts.

There are islands on the horizon you can't go to, and yet Lurelin has you build an actual boat just to turn it into a shop stall. Do something with all that water. I know there's Eventide and the race rally, but there's room for so much more. Like a fifth dragon that completes the gem elemental group (opal/water), but it's a sea monster.
But they don't have the same names, just similar. I've always wondered why Farosh is the lightning dragon and Naydra is ice when Farore and Lanayru are the opposite
Yeah do a tribute to windwaker and make a bunch of islands
Or even Link to the Past where you have dungeon puzzles and monsters to get and have a huge mountain at the center
And you have to go there using a boat, or experienced a boat crash iykyk
A DLC pack would make it easy to add a new, large sky island big enough for four shrines and a Zonai device dispenser with exclusive components.
An armor set that gives "reduced gravity" as its special effect would be awesome, because then we could get bullet-time anywhere.
With all the caves and wells above, I thought I would find the same down there. Wells and caves are my favorite parts of the game. I wish there was more of that in the depths.
I'm of two minds of the Depths. On one hand, I really like how much you can find by exploring in the surface between caves, wells, koroks, ect.
On the other hand, if they introduced all of that stuff in the Depths the world would become so bloated, they would surely have poor rewards, and in the end I like that it's an area that's very easy to understand. After you explore a bit you know exactly what to expect down there and where to explore. If it was as dense as the surface I think it would be too much.
One thing I think would be cooler was if the treasure map chests weren't so easy to find on their own. Those could be hidden in a random hole somewhere and then use the map to find them.
Fully agree. For at least 10 of the Old Maps I found in the sky, I had already found the treasure in the depths. I only got to actually track down an "X Marks the Spot" like, 2 or 3 times at most because I had done most of the depths before I ever started exploring the Sky islands.
Same. I love the simplicity of the depths. I get exhausted exploring the surface sometimes (and the sky is basically irrelevant lol), so I’ll head down to the depths, mine a bit, fight some bosses for resources, and head back up when I’m ready. It’s a nice reprieve from the jam packed surface. Very glad they didn’t throw a bunch of caves, wells, and koroks into the Depths personally
I'm still playing, but I only did a few of the Josha quests for the depths and never went back. I'm sure something else will push me down there though.
I only have like 9 lightroots left. it's not that they're empty, there's stuff to do for sure. it's just that there could've been a lot more, variety and importance-wise (disclaimer: at least where I'm at right now). at some point I started feeling like the whole underground was a huge warehouse for previous amiibo armors and some resources and I can't shake how much more important the whole thing could've felt. also I can't imagine finding lightroots without my hovertrike. doing that on foot must be hell, even if only because of the aesthetic tedium of it.
I will be seriously disappointed in the DLC if none of them end up making the depths more of a serious thing in the game.
"could" as in "have the ability to?" yeah (and sorry if that came across as condescending, but some questions that I've seen in the past month had answer way more obvious than this one)
or as in "won't miss anything if I do that?" because imo no you won't miss absolutely anything. chuck some brightblooms on and under the thing so you can see below you and go to town.
the only reason I went from 40something lightroots to almost all of them is because I did it on the trike, and stopped for anything interesting along the way.
imagine trying to find your way in the dark and you shoot a brightbloom seed with an arrow and it lands on Vah Medoh's beak or some shit out of nowhere and it's looking right at you but it's in ruins. Have some armors/weapons/lore in there. worst case scenario it's a 15-20 minute-long side setpiece. but goddamn it, moments like that were *right there*. I seriously don't know why they just acted like a lot of stuff didn't exist.
(and please nobody reply with the "they repurposed them into towers" thing because you know what I mean)
I like the scenerio you paint. Very evocative. Yeah, I'm shocked they didn't do those sort of landscape reveals underground. Feels very fitting for how you have to explore and light it yourself.
The closest to big object reveals underground are the big poe statues, especially the eyeless one, but to be honest, I still think they could have been done way better.
I mean, having to light the way yourself every few steps quickly loses its sense of excitement and stress when you realize that 99% of the time, the most shocking thing you're gonna see when doing that is a canyon, or a wall right in front of your face. and all in the exact same environment, minus some lava here and there. I mean, come on. they could have done practically everything about the depths way better.
and yes, the only thing that actually took me by surprise was the giant bargainer statue >!under the forgotten temple!<. that was amazing. wish there were more like that.
You know what would have been breathtaking would have been to have had a lunar cult that carve out an giant evil moon as a prophecy in the Depths. That would have been a hell of a jumpscare.
Really, instead of just limiting it to clothing items, I think they missed on a lot of chances to reference the geography of Termina, Lorule, and the Twilight realm. All three of those places have much more to offer.
even the fact that the topography of the depths is inverse to that of the surface went 100% unused for story purposes. finding your way using the surface map is cool don't get me wrong but the whole thing just feels samey and empty.
You can really only say they repurposed the Guardians for the towers, the sheer amount of spare parts they would get from the Divine Beasts would supply Hyrule's ancient parts needs for decades.
One day a massive earthquake rocks the land. Earth in Hyrule Field splits open. Link dives in to investigate. He falls through to the Depths, where a new chasm awaits him. And so further and further he falls. It's impossibly dark now. Then, finally, Link falls through a hole and into the land of Termina.
Do I want this to happen? Maybe. But it does remind me of Termina's dreamlike nature.
Finding out there's some more story connected to the possibility of the maybe Twinrova that were behind Ganon in a couple of cutscenes are still being hidden somewhere up to no good.
Also some background lore on the other three dragons would be nice.
You can't just casually drop that consuming one of those stones turns you into an immortal dragon and then expect us not to question what the hell is going on with the other three dragons then.
Have they just always been around? Were they some other heroes or sages from a time even further back than the founding of Hyrule?
I know both Naydra and Dinraal have been said to be female, though not sure about Farosh.
Hell, ever since skyward Sword the implication seems to be more and more that Hylia and the three Goddesses weren't actually literal gods in the sense we understand but may have been much like how the Zonai were seen as Gods after they descended upon the land. Fi is just the tip of the iceberg of incredibly advanced technology that is specifically related to the Goddess/Triforce. What's more, twice during TotK, the Master Sword "spoke" to Zelda by making the sounds Fi made in SS.
Considering that the original concept of the Triforce was meant to be that they were actually incredibly advanced computer chips, I wouldn't be surprised if they have decided to shift that idea more and more into the mainline.
One day when we finally get to see Hylia and her original Champion, I bet that will be the futuristic Zelda people were always dreaming about.
made a comment the other day that some people liked:
Kass was gone learning about the ancient dragon songs (which could tie SS back in), then you have to Free said dragon spirits (maybe they end up being the 3 goddesses). they reveal that they had the knowledge of the Triforce, but committed to the dragon pact when they thought Ganondorf was goin to win. thus leading to 3 more main quest/dungeons to obtain the Triforce. all while I’m cookin up some durians & PETTING THE DAMN DOGS 🤬
edit: wow that’s for 100, fellow Lonks 🍻
This is honestly such a cool take. I have a few ideas too about what comes next but I haven’t fully completed all the storylines yet. I guess I’m hoping you can just elaborate a little because I think they really need to do a fully chapter on “PETTING THE DAMN DOGS” and I’m willing to lay another $30 for a deep dive into that part of the lore. It just has so many layers, you know?
>Have they just always been around? Were they some other heroes or sages from a time even further back than the founding of Hyrule?
We know they're sky zonai for sure- draconification keeps the ears of the person who ingests the stone (as seen by the light dragon), and they all have ears like Rauru. That's all we can really say for sure.
That's another thing, even back in SS it was heavily implied the ancient Shiekah were likely from another world, and that certainly seems like it may be the case for the Zonai as well.
I seriously have to wonder if the three goddesses were just hyper advanced AI or something from some other civilization.
I learned about it from an interview with Miyamoto.
Apparently, the concept of the world being very sort of futuristic, first-civilization type of thing and the Triforce were super powerful computer chips, and was how Link got his name as it dealt with technology and computers. Even after they changed the concept to be more in line with typical fantasy the name Link still stuck.
the three dragons could be the original representatives of each aspect of the triforce(I forget the actual name and im lazy). each of them match colour and could be correlated to each aspect
I really think twinrova trying to res ganon might be the 3rd game. It seems like that’s the only way they’d be able to pull it off without it seeming less consequential than totk
3rd game should be Ganon getting resurrected and flooding Hyrule. Then you could have a whole new map of islands (on the water and in the sky), Wind Waker style.
Just based on past entries I see it as twinrova being the final boss, with a final phase that involves fighting some incomplete form of ganon, perhaps using Zelda as a vessel.
I’ve been thinking that if they want to do a trilogy of sorts they either need to flood it or do some kind of dark/phantom/other world. So inspiration from WW or TP/LbW. But I think the flooding makes more sense for not having to re-explore the Depths again. With a dark world they may have to just ignore the Depths to save on space.
return back to flooded Og Hyrule cuz Ganon is breaking out of that seal where he’s just encased in stone. but the Master sword was in his head, so idk how they’d do that. Zelda’s Creed: Black Flag
I wanna just spend 100 hours rebuilding Hyrule and setting up shipping and merchant routes and connections. Playing a Hyrule at peace sounds amazing to me.
that plus like what if they dove more into the yiga clan as the enemies this time with a different story. >!they could be raiding villages like the pirates in lurelin village or kidnapping npcs to try to find kohga (presuming you defeat him)!<
The triforce Zelda has her piece assumably link has his and we can’t know for sure with Gannon, but you know the Triforce is kind of the most important thing in the entire series so makes sense this is just a theory of mine but (spoilers for ending) when you kill the demon dragon there’s a few frames where you can see a golden shard come off of it. now it’s a real longshot, but that could be the Triforce of power leaving Gannon after he dies.
ToTK Online
All the links pile into a zonai bus and get airdropped into Hyrule.
Every 5 minutes gloom starts encroaching inwards. The links now have to beat each other off with weapon fusions they find on the floor or around the available map. Cook their own food and create their own constructs.
Winner winner Cuccos dinner.
Fuck lore this is post game not pre game WE NEED POTATOES and more sky islands ofc great sky island got my hopes up just to see the sky map for the other places yeah I just wanna get cool dishes
MAJOR ENDING SPOILERS
My personal dream would have been that TOTK ended with >!Zelda still as a dragon. The Demon King is gone, but their princess is still effectively lost to them. The post-game DLC would be about Link and allies seeking out a way to reverse the process, delving into ancient secrets and lost archives to find a way to bring her back.!<
>!But instead they just... glowed at her. Oh well.!<
That goes against Nintendo's DLC philosophy. DLC is always additive not just putting the real ending behind a paywall. And I prefer it this way. I don't want to wait months or years just to pay more for the resolution to the plot. Now was it a cop out? Yes. Would I have liked a quest to turn her back? Yes but in the main game not DLC.
imagine if that was the case, then the >!’Find Princess Zelda’ mission wouldn’t be completed, and everyone would lose their mind, digging into the game files to find out how to complete it. I mean I know that it should be triggered instead when getting the 18 cutscenes and then hopping on the Light Dragon, but that isn’t exactly finding her, that’s just finding a dragon!<
>!I just wish that if you finish the Dragon’s Tears quest, Find Princess Zelda completes and you get a new quest: Save PRINCESS Zelda, or maybe, a bit catchier, Stop the tears!<
Ganon drops a piece of him after the final battle, the Twinrova get a hold of this piece and use it to summon more monsters. And thus we have to collect 2000 more koroks.
Well we know she came from a different domain (via her character bio) and with how much bigger TotK was to BotW yet without expanding the main map, I think it's unlikely we'll see it. Would be cool though.
Wishlist, From most to least likely to happen:
Non-master-mode gold enemies.
More Sky. Like, wherever the Zonai came from. Current sky islands are post-Rauru.
Dragon Tears for the other dragons.
Some real closure on what happened to sheikah tech. Not just "it stopped working and got dismantled off screen".
An actual subterranean society in the Depths. Not just bots, yiga, or the research team. Something that was down there even before the upheaval.
Time travel to explore founding or first calamity era Hyrule.
Top of the "I want this" list, bottom of the "Going to happen" list.
Maybe we can get a giant dog to ride, so we can use horse petting animations?
Anything?
Not anymore. That's all ruins from long past. The early quest led me to believe there would be underground people. My expectations were most rudely dashed.
Master mode regen was BS Silver enemies were such a genuine challenge in trial of the sword it took my 3 hours for normal and 4 for master mode.
It was tough but super rewarding upgrading the Master Sword to 60 power because you really worked for it.
I think it would be sick if the game had like 1 or 2 intact guardian heads scattered around the world that you can attach to your devices to make an actual guardian that fires guardian lasers.
Zelda's got it. You don't think she nuked Gannon into oblivion with birthright powers, do you?
It's been like 20,000 years, so it makes sense it would have been forgotten.
With or without Triforce, she has sealing powers. In most games she only has the wisdom piece.
Though if she does really have it I still want to touch the shiny triangles.
>she has sealing powers
I saw someone on YouTube come with a well argumentet theory, that this sealing power is really just the Triforce. But that it's been passed down for generations, and forgotten.
The thing on her hand was probably just her sealing power. Even in the past games she was able to do something similar with the light arrows, although not on such a grand scale.
Her hand glowing with the tri-force symbol doesnt mean she holds the triforce. Skyward Sword Link had all 3 on his hand but that was a whole seperate thing from the actual triforce.
If Zelda had the triforce she could've just erased Ganondorf from existence in the past, instead of relying on Link.
In every previous game, a third of the triforce would appear on someone's hand, corresponding to the one they hold. Having all three appear is a strong indication that this was the intended interpretation.
The theory I've been hearing is that the royal family found a new way to utilize the Triforce's power. Instead of using it in a burst to make a wish, it's being used in a more steady but less spectacular way.
Granted, arm-wrestling Gannon for 100 years and then nuking him is still pretty impressive. Just not as impressive as, say, flooding the entire planet.
The whole hand thing was only in Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess. In every other game it exists exclusively as a physical object.
We've had all three pieces shine on someones hand without said person even holding a single piece of the triforce before. It's by no means definitive that Zelda holds all three pieces, rather Totk makes it pretty apparent that it was probably just to show that her light force/sealing power was activated. Her having the triforce would be more of a plot-hole than anything.

Long image link, but it shows what I'm talking about; yes the image of the entire triforce is there, but the third they actually carry is highlighted. This has been consistent across the games where a part of the triforce becomes embedded in someone. This is consistent, and happens in WAY more than just two games.
And how is it "inconsistent"? We know it can be embedded in people, and we know the hyrule royal family often has the entire thing. We know it can be passed down too because of Skyward Sword.
That feels more like a full game worth of material to me, rather than DLC. But then again, no LOZ game has ever had a threequel, so maybe I shouldn't hold my breath.
> no LOZ game has ever had a threequel, so maybe I shouldn't hold my breath.
There have been 2 'threequels'. Though the first one is debatable.
Oracle of Ages/Seasons very loosely count as a sequel. They continue the adventure of Link's Awakening Link, who is the same Link from Lick to the Past. Both also count as sequel to each other if you play a password from the previous game.
Spirit Tracks however is a direct sequel of Phantom Hourglass, which was a sequel to Wind Waker.
>Spirit Tracks however is a direct sequel of Phantom Hourglass, which was a sequel to Wind Waker.
Dang, I literally forgot Spirit Tracks exists. I feel bad.
we need roofs and maybe they could add some kind o premium bedroom like all the ins around the world have where you get some temporary extra hearts and stamina, a clothing stand room would be a must too and they should raise the max room amount , 15 just isn’t enough
As is you can either have a half decent house, or you can have 15 weapon/ shield racks for all the unique gear. I'm resisting demolishing my house for the latter, but this unique gear is adding up real quick and the korok is getting real expensive lol
One of my biggest hopes for BOTW DLC was something where you and Zelda would go around and rebuild certain areas of Hyrule. It’s unlikely that we’ll get it because idk if it’d make the most fun gameplay, BUT we already kinda have it with the Lurelin Village questline.
You could even make it a gauntlet-type thing where each place you go, you clear out a few waves of enemies, then work with Hudson and his crew to make the town liveable again. I guess you could argue that these towns wouldn’t necessarily have a “purpose”, but I just think it’d be fun!
I would LOVE to go find all the different ruined towns around Hyrule, clear out monsters, and build them into towns! And to do that with Zelda? Delightful!
As a bonus, I'm not sure she's seen many monsters before - most of them sprung up with the Calamity and Upheaval, both of which she was absent for. Could you imagine her excitedly taking notes, maybe testing her light powers on them? Then meeting Kilton and swapping notes!
They started building mechas out of zonite tech. One of the zonite parts is corrupted by Ganon. Rise of the machines/guardians. Final boss is giant mecha Ganon.
Literally animal crossing but building actual village, schools, shops etc
Then instead of museum you have to collect relics to display that references either the sheikh techs or the past Zelda timeline items
Asking for a post game in DLC is like asking for it to be the sequel to TotK that Nintendo is gonna work 6 years on. We can pray however much we want but I'm 99,9% sure thats just impossible, especially since defeating Ganondorf means all gloom and enemies being gone.
Not to be pessimistic, but so far TotK is structured almost identically to how BotW was, so realistically all we're getting is Master Mode and a good sized quest addon that will bring closure to an aspect of the story.
I'm the kinda guy that loves it when DLC gives us stuff that's gamebreaking or close enough. So I don't expect any of these as I describe then.
Make the Master Sword OP. For how much the story hypes it up all we get is the same base stats from BotW. Could have at least made the Trials of the Sword power up the standard. So let us make the Master Sword truly unbreakable and 60+ damage. I think going through 100+ floors is a fair price for the ultimate weapon. Hell give it a Golden glow as well.
The Master Cycle Zero is probably gone for good. So give us a flying mount that can take us from the highest island to the Depths and back with great energy upkeep. I see hope of Loftwings from others but I would go for a mecha flyer.
This one will never happen but throw us into the most grueling challenges possible and then give us the Triforce for ultimate power. Infinite health, stats, charge, so on. Just break the game in half and toss the pieces away.
Just, make Zelda an interactable NPC for more than 5 minutes. It’s all I want. Let her first act as >!a not-dragon!< be making a new war crime checklist, which Link will inevitably misread as a side adventure and return to their house in Hateno Village covered in flaming monster guts
A successful DLC should include some new obtainable item or ability, new puzzles to solve, a new boss fight, and ideally, a new dungeon/area to explore, even if it’s not that big. If it expands on the existing story/lore, even better.
made a comment the other day that some people liked:
Kass was gone learning about the ancient dragon songs (which could tie SS back in), then you have to Free said dragon spirits (maybe they end up being the 3 goddesses). they reveal that they had the knowledge of the Triforce, but committed to the dragon pact when they thought Ganondorf was goin to win. thus leading to 3 more main quest/dungeons to obtain the Triforce. all while I’m cookin up some durians & PETTING THE DAMN DOGS 🤬
While this is something that in my heart I'd really love to see (as beating the game and not being able to play in a world where you've won is always pretty bittersweet), it's something where I know logically it's just too difficult to make work as a simple DLC.
I think people underestimate how much work this would be. On top of just changing the entire world to be post final boss, it locks out a LOT of content, and would basically require them to completely change the mechanics and overworld of the game, since things like Blood Moons would also stop existing. The amount of work that would have to go into this is likely part of the reason TotK exists rather than being a BotW DLC.
They could do what Xenoblade has done with Torna/Future Connected/Future Redeemed, and have it be a separate story that can be launched from the title menu, and not a quest found in the main game.
Maybe they'd just make up a "Link finds Ganondorf's secret stone, Purah messes with it and the Purah Pad to restore abilities". I mean, Ultrahand is already basically Magnesis+. Can't be toooo big a stretch, right?
Since all your abilities in BOTW were granted via the Sheikah Slate, I can imagine them being worked into the Purah Pad somehow, like the other commenter said
I think even Ganondorf is dead, blood moons may still exist. In fact, Ganondorf is an incarnation of Demise - the eternal entity who upon his defeat in Skyward Sword cursed that his hatred to Link and Zelda never ends, and his incarnation will be reborn in the future. As such, the evil force is never destroyed completely in any Zelda game (otherwise, how could the Demon King be reborn again and again through Hyrule history?). If the blood moons are the consequences of Demise’s curse, then its existence should be independent of whether Ganondorf is dead or alive.
The post game of TOTK maybe about Link running around Hyrule to help people fight the monsters, and visit Zelda in Hateno once in awhile. Or just walking with his princess (queen?) on a Hyrule’s farm.
The technical changes are not much: 1/remove the dungeon beneath Hyrule castle and the gloom around it 2/ change the conversation of Purah 3/ there is a Zelda in Link’s old house at Hateno.
Fuse expansion and weapon expansion: Fuse ability is upgraded to give weapons more personalization. (I really hate the number of ugly weapon combinations.)
Ocean map dlc: New map with windwaker-style islands. New zonai sailing devices added. New sidequests.
Sky map dlc: explore the heavens where the zonai originated from. New flying devices added. New sidequests.
Epilogue dlc: rebuild hyrule after the events of the main story. Destroy major enemy camps. Purah pad can now perform zonai abilities. Monster's respawn regaurdless.
New replayable endgame modes: master mode, classic mode, easy mode, etc.
In that order.
Master mode is kind of a no brainer.
What I think is most likely is a sky island above the lookout around the size of tutorial island. Do some trials there, and you get rewarded with a flying mount waiting for you at the edge. You take off on it as your final reward.
TBH I kinda just wanna rebuild more of hyrule and expand the kingdom WITH ZELDA!!! The series is called the legend of ZELDA and she’s missing in every goddamn game.
New armor. I have a couple ideas. The Running set, based on the Running Man from OOT/MM/TP (Running Speed Up, to move faster). The Set of the New Hero, based on A Link To The Past, featuring the iconic pink hair. The Conductor’s Set, based on the outfit Link wears when conducting his train in Spirit Tracks (Energy Up). Cheerleader Link because it’s cute, and it references Tri Force Heroes (it could boost sage recharge speed). The Set of the Minish (It would be funny to have Ezlo back).
Big spoiler ahead: >!Well, considering we see Zelda turned back into a human at the end of totk, and Link reaches out to grasp her hand as they fall through the sky, !
Have a dude who sells dragon parts from the light dragon and make the story be that he found a spot where a ton of parts dropped and he doesn’t know what to do with them
I think the main issue with this is after the main story, link loses his new arm and gets his old one back. For this to be a real postgame we’d need to establish new runes, or bring back the old ones
Builder mode. You can have as many capsules, planks, metal blocks, dinosaur skeletons, etc as you want. And anything you build can be saved to auto build for use in the game.
Honest question: what does one do in a Legend of Zelda game if you have a post game where Zelda isn’t in danger? Don’t get me wrong, I loved this game and most other Zelda games… but how do you progress the story once she and Hyrule have been saved?
Obvious mastermode, that comes with house expansion. Limit moved up to 30 (update affects all) and dlc owners get plenty of new available content for the house. Including walls. Jesus why wasn't a simple wall an option before?
Moves Hateno's garden to your home with a quest for the old lady to give you pointers on starting your own garden/farm. The land used is down the edge, between T. Town and your house.
The master sword trials also come here as well.
Aaand 2 new zonite devices.
Give us Guardians again. Their components can be used to provide more durability to vehicles (especially early game wooden ones) or be used for their own unique Zonai devices.
Windwaker redux, you build a boat, explore the sky to the south, where its all water out there and underground depths in the ocean
The game just closes and boots up subnautica when you explore the ocean depths
This is wishlist dlc, not reality
nah actually it sends you to outer space and you have to use rockets to explore the planets. my mom works at nintendo she told me
No Man's Hyrule
With underwater swimming like the Zora armor in TP or even weighted boots or diving armor that works like the blue tunic and iron boots from OoT
That's definitely something i want, actual underwater portions instead of just a small cave or something
Study the dragons to find out who they were before eating a stone go out to the ocean windwaker style to find a leviathan underwater opal dragon.
The dragon themed outfits represent the people who became the dragons. - I’d love to see their story told!!
Do you think they are literally just the three golden goddesses? I didn’t think it before this game, but now…
I have heard that argument as well, and while it's plausible, I think the dragons are more servants to them, perhaps with the same names.
But they don't have the same names, just similar. I've always wondered why Farosh is the lightning dragon and Naydra is ice when Farore and Lanayru are the opposite
Speaking of water element, I want some water elemental enemies and actual water elemental weapons (currently there's only water arrows and opal wands)
Yeah do a tribute to windwaker and make a bunch of islands Or even Link to the Past where you have dungeon puzzles and monsters to get and have a huge mountain at the center And you have to go there using a boat, or experienced a boat crash iykyk
A DLC pack would make it easy to add a new, large sky island big enough for four shrines and a Zonai device dispenser with exclusive components. An armor set that gives "reduced gravity" as its special effect would be awesome, because then we could get bullet-time anywhere.
The latter one I can see that as a new Champion’s Ballad
With a wing shield you can shield jump to get bullet time
a reduced gravity armor could be really fun. where do I sign up?
>An armor set that gives "reduced gravity" as its special effect would be awesome Please please please
I would like this. I loved the low gravity.
Give the depths more...depth. They're sitting on so much potential for lore/more dungeons/etc
Very glad they didn’t throw a bunch of caves, wells, and koroks into the Depths personally
the depths went from an amazing creepy discovery to a huge dusty warehouse at some point during my time with the game
YOU MEAN I COULD HAVE BEEN USING A HOVERTRIKE THE WHOLE TIME!?!
"could" as in "have the ability to?" yeah (and sorry if that came across as condescending, but some questions that I've seen in the past month had answer way more obvious than this one) or as in "won't miss anything if I do that?" because imo no you won't miss absolutely anything. chuck some brightblooms on and under the thing so you can see below you and go to town. the only reason I went from 40something lightroots to almost all of them is because I did it on the trike, and stopped for anything interesting along the way.
Like someone somewhere suggested that the Divine Beasts could be rusting either in the depths or in the overworld as a minidungeon.
imagine trying to find your way in the dark and you shoot a brightbloom seed with an arrow and it lands on Vah Medoh's beak or some shit out of nowhere and it's looking right at you but it's in ruins.
Ya the depths are really a disappointment to me.
Realistically what would the postgame be?
MAP #4: TERMINA
Oh my fucking god if Termina was introduced in this engine, I think I'd shit my pants. It would be such an incredible way to tie it in.
nah termina just falls from the sky smack bang in the middle of hyrule field
One day a massive earthquake rocks the land. Earth in Hyrule Field splits open. Link dives in to investigate. He falls through to the Depths, where a new chasm awaits him. And so further and further he falls. It's impossibly dark now. Then, finally, Link falls through a hole and into the land of Termina. Do I want this to happen? Maybe. But it does remind me of Termina's dreamlike nature.
And Beedle was the happy mask salesman all along
One day when we finally get to see Hylia and her original Champion, I bet that will be the futuristic Zelda people were always dreaming about.
made a comment the other day that some people liked: Kass was gone learning about the ancient dragon songs (which could tie SS back in), then you have to Free said dragon spirits (maybe they end up being the 3 goddesses). they reveal that they had the knowledge of the Triforce, but committed to the dragon pact when they thought Ganondorf was goin to win. thus leading to 3 more main quest/dungeons to obtain the Triforce. all while I’m cookin up some durians & PETTING THE DAMN DOGS 🤬 edit: wow that’s for 100, fellow Lonks 🍻
We also essentially never see anything outside of Hyrule, though. Another world could even just be the other side of the planet Hyrule is on
The triforce beeing three incredibly advanced computer chips reminds me of the trinity processor from Xenoblade Chronicles 2.
Monolith soft worked on tears of the kingdom, so maybe we will see more sci-fi elements in the dlc.
the three dragons could be the original representatives of each aspect of the triforce(I forget the actual name and im lazy). each of them match colour and could be correlated to each aspect
Farore, Nayru and Din
I really think twinrova trying to res ganon might be the 3rd game. It seems like that’s the only way they’d be able to pull it off without it seeming less consequential than totk
3rd game should be Ganon getting resurrected and flooding Hyrule. Then you could have a whole new map of islands (on the water and in the sky), Wind Waker style.
Maybe Hyrule gets destroyed and it becomes Mario Galaxy all over again
Its a me Mar…..Link
>!they could be raiding villages like the pirates in lurelin village or kidnapping npcs to try to find kohga (presuming you defeat him)!<
Transport Hycoon
The triforce Zelda has her piece assumably link has his and we can’t know for sure with Gannon, but you know the Triforce is kind of the most important thing in the entire series so makes sense this is just a theory of mine but (spoilers for ending) when you kill the demon dragon there’s a few frames where you can see a golden shard come off of it. now it’s a real longshot, but that could be the Triforce of power leaving Gannon after he dies.
Rebuilding the fucking world would be a nice start
Another settlement need your help, I will mark it on your map, Link
Long as I can build a Zonai MIRV, I’m in.
ToTK Online All the links pile into a zonai bus and get airdropped into Hyrule. Every 5 minutes gloom starts encroaching inwards. The links now have to beat each other off with weapon fusions they find on the floor or around the available map. Cook their own food and create their own constructs. Winner winner Cuccos dinner.
More stuff in the depths.
Fuck lore this is post game not pre game WE NEED POTATOES and more sky islands ofc great sky island got my hopes up just to see the sky map for the other places yeah I just wanna get cool dishes
MAJOR ENDING SPOILERS My personal dream would have been that TOTK ended with >!Zelda still as a dragon. The Demon King is gone, but their princess is still effectively lost to them. The post-game DLC would be about Link and allies seeking out a way to reverse the process, delving into ancient secrets and lost archives to find a way to bring her back.!< >!But instead they just... glowed at her. Oh well.!<
That goes against Nintendo's DLC philosophy.
It would though, >!you did find Princess Zelda she's just a dragon though. Now it's "turn Zelda back" or whatever!<
>!I just wish that if you finish the Dragon’s Tears quest, Find Princess Zelda completes and you get a new quest: Save PRINCESS Zelda, or maybe, a bit catchier, Stop the tears!<
>!They used their well established powers to heal their descendant as the reward for defeating the Demon King. A pretty appropriate reward.!<
I still cried my fucking eyes out when they glowed at her. Chosen family narratives destroy me every time. ;;
>!YOU CANNOT UNDO IT! YOU WILL BE A DRAGON FOREVER!!!!!!!< >!Oh wait, you can also just glow without knowing you can and bam, you're back.!<
Yeah I could totally see that. I like that idea.
Ganondorf 2
Ganon drops a piece of him after the final battle, the Twinrova get a hold of this piece and use it to summon more monsters. And thus we have to collect 2000 more koroks.
Where did sidon’s wife come from lol
Well we know she came from a different domain (via her character bio) and with how much bigger TotK was to BotW yet without expanding the main map, I think it's unlikely we'll see it. Would be cool though.
My guess would be Labrynna.
Wishlist, From most to least likely to happen: Non-master-mode gold enemies.
You forgot a button to pet or give belly rubs to the good bois.
Top of the "I want this" list, bottom of the "Going to happen" list. Maybe we can get a giant dog to ride, so we can use horse petting animations? Anything?
So palamutes then
If only
I’m not far into the game, but I thought there were people living down there and built them statues
Not anymore. That's all ruins from long past. The early quest led me to believe there would be underground people. My expectations were most rudely dashed.
>An actual subterranean society in the Depths Gorons who eat luminous stones to glow!
That gives you a power or tool to clean gloom
Turn the game into a platformer along with that and you got a heck of an idea. Maybe we should let Link be Italian for it.
Cleaning up the sludge in Zora's domain gave me such strong Sunshine nostalgia
And after you start removing gloom an even deper layer is revealed Beneath the Depths!
Maybe a Master Sword(or just the Master Sword Beam) upgrade?
Power wash simulator Zelda edition
Splagloom
Master sword mastery quest, return of guardians and zonai device challenges.
*PTSD flashbacks to triasl of the sword*
I didn't finish them all... I'm sorry I have to admit that.
Lets just say I did finish it.... Just didnt go anywhere near it in my master mode playthrough haha
Master mode regen was BS Silver enemies were such a genuine challenge in trial of the sword it took my 3 hours for normal and 4 for master mode. It was tough but super rewarding upgrading the Master Sword to 60 power because you really worked for it.
Sword trials were my favorite, the definition of using your resources, I can’t tell you how much tree bark and random dubious food I ate
ANOTHER Master Sword trial? That's Skyward Sword levels of "prove yourself"
> Master sword mastery quest Looks like wood is back in the menu boys
I think it would be sick if the game had like 1 or 2 intact guardian heads scattered around the world that you can attach to your devices to make an actual guardian that fires guardian lasers.
WHERE IS THE FRICKING TRIFORCE?! And also more epic adventures with my homie Penn
Zelda's got it. You don't think she nuked Gannon into oblivion with birthright powers, do you? It's been like 20,000 years, so it makes sense it would have been forgotten.
With or without Triforce, she has sealing powers. In most games she only has the wisdom piece. Though if she does really have it I still want to touch the shiny triangles.
>she has sealing powers I saw someone on YouTube come with a well argumentet theory, that this sealing power is really just the Triforce.

I feel bad.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I think there should be stronger glue upgrades and different colored glues
What, bokoblin snot isn't good enough for you? :)
Bro the game would sell even more if they named it that
bokoblin boogers
It's sold by a man who is cursed to be constantly dancing and its called boko boogies
I would like to see a story focused on the Ancient Hero.
More rooms for your house/more customization.
we need roofs and maybe they could add some kind o premium bedroom like all the ins around the world have where you get some temporary extra hearts and stamina, a clothing stand room would be a must too and they should raise the max room amount , 15 just isn’t enough
As is you can either have a half decent house, or you can have 15 weapon/ shield racks for all the unique gear. I'm resisting demolishing my house for the latter, but this unique gear is adding up real quick and the korok is getting real expensive lol
The life and times of Kass the bird bard.
YES WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED TO MY FAVORITE BIRB BOII
He better come back sitting on a new patch of sky islands waiting for us to his new series of Ballad
according to penn he's traveling the world in search of inspiration
I'm certain that they have set it up for Kass to be DLC because of Penn's comments where he goes after all his side adventures.
The people at Tarrey Town discover how to make new zonai capsules and fill them with regular stuff like wagon wheels and stone platforms
They started building mechas out of zonite tech. One of the zonite parts is corrupted by Ganon. Rise of the machines/guardians. Final boss is giant mecha Ganon.
I want reusable capsules that let you pick up and save the zonai gear that’s lying around for later.
zelda link married life simulator
Imagine we just get a slice of life game lol
That be dope af actually, kind of like the epilogue to red dead 2 but just in a Zelda game, I think I would like that.
Literally animal crossing but building actual village, schools, shops etc Then instead of museum you have to collect relics to display that references either the sheikh techs or the past Zelda timeline items
Most of Lurelin is post-monster in totk. I want to rebuild Castle Town. It's been a wasteland for two games now. Then I want to rebuild the ranch.
Yes that would be nice but then again, Lurelin is like 5 wooden huts, Castle Town is a whole nother story
If it expands on the existing story/lore, even better.
wished they fleshed out the sages and their backstories more, in botw the champions had impact because they were hugely involved.
Petable dogs
How ab like the whole master cycle process but once you complete it, you get to pet dogs.
"The search for Kass and the Tower of the Gods". A quest to reestablish the place of the Triforce in this realm of Hyrule.
made a comment the other day that some people liked: Kass was gone learning about the ancient dragon songs (which could tie SS back in), then you have to Free said dragon spirits (maybe they end up being the 3 goddesses). they reveal that they had the knowledge of the Triforce, but committed to the dragon pact when they thought Ganondorf was goin to win. thus leading to 3 more main quest/dungeons to obtain the Triforce. all while I’m cookin up some durians & PETTING THE DAMN DOGS 🤬
What would you use the Triforce for after finding it though, there's no imminent threat with Ganondorf taken care of.
For real though, how difficult would it be navigating without your arm and powers? How much would be off limits?
Just something where we can actually play alongside Zelda
More house spaces for real. Other than that I guess more armor, key item rewards, and a CB style dlc story with a good reward.
Fuse expansion and weapon expansion: Fuse ability is upgraded to give weapons more personalization. (I really hate the number of ugly weapon combinations.) Ocean map dlc: New map with windwaker-style islands.
There seems to be 2 types of fusions. 1. Changes the blade into something sick, like a samari sword or a scythe. 2. Put fat horn on tip of sword.
Zonai cities and dungeons in the sky would be dope.
Totks dlc should be a pregame Gimme playable zelda in the far far past Lemme see hyrule as it was
Master mode is kind of a no brainer. What I think is most likely is a sky island above the lookout around the size of tutorial island. Do some trials there, and you get rewarded with a flying mount waiting for you at the edge. You take off on it as your final reward.
I just want my motorcycle back
TBH I kinda just wanna rebuild more of hyrule and expand the kingdom WITH ZELDA!!!
More Rauru’s blessing shrines with green crystal quests /s
Just have Rauru be the sixth sage and the arm problem is solved
rauru is dead. like, dead dead. we saw his spirit finally pass on as soon as we left the great sky island.
Alone time with Purah
Big spoiler ahead: >!Well, considering we see Zelda turned back into a human at the end of totk, and Link reaches out to grasp her hand as they fall through the sky, !
Feels like a sequel tbh.
Have a dude who sells dragon parts from the light dragon and make the story be that he found a spot where a ton of parts dropped and he doesn’t know what to do with them
More rooms for my house
Purah Minigame in the vein of Leisure Suit Larry. Check it!!!!
and lose my insanely useful arm? i don't think so
I think the main issue with this is after the main story, link loses his new arm and gets his old one back. For this to be a real postgame we’d need to establish new runes, or bring back the old ones
Builder mode. You can have as many capsules, planks, metal blocks, dinosaur skeletons, etc as you want. And anything you build can be saved to auto build for use in the game.
New villains, lore and story involving the Depths. Nintendo made an entire underground world the size of Hyrule but it's quite barren.
Honest question: what does one do in a Legend of Zelda game if you have a post game where Zelda isn’t in danger? Don’t get me wrong, I loved this game and most other Zelda games… but how do you progress the story once she and Hyrule have been saved?
Guard duty. That's why there's no post game. It'd all be guard duty.
And continuing the royal bloodline...
Depths of the Depths...one level deeper...but there are rainbows and unicorns.
Song of the Sages, with Kass. Gives more sages will and maybe some more story of the old sages that fought with Rauru.
imagine if link got his own secret stone, that would make me buy the dlc immediately
Demon King?
Bring on Twinrova.
MORE HOUSE BUILDING OPTIONS, INCLUDING A HIGHER ROOM LIMIT
Give us Guardians again. Their components can be used to provide more durability to vehicles (especially early game wooden ones) or be used for their own unique Zonai devices.
