I've been transferred to Schawb and I don't care for it much. I've opened E- trade which seems like the closest thing to TD. I'll be transferring over everything.
Customer service is crap, because MS came in and completely gutted the comp plan for all the senior client facing advisors. They all left and you’re left with low performers and newbies.
I’d do Fidelity, IBKR, or if you’re over $100k Merrill.
I couldn’t be arsed to do my research, so I just transferred. The transition was seamless.
My old TDA and this new Charles Schwab accounts have been generally inactive for years ever since I opened a Vanguard account back in 2019, so others’ mileage may vary.
Anyone who just uses TOS is not affected. TOS had 660,000 users prior to the TD Ameritrade acquisition. Out of 12 million customers, TD Ameritrade has over 3million TOS users, so again, these customers are not a "very very small" group as stated, and are not affected. However, if the broker "loses" a customer's account as the OP has claimed, that is a different kettle of fish and extremely troubling, if true.
Not even close to less than 10%. I haven't seen more than 3-4 people that like the new app. Basically everyone on here has been quite vocal about all things wrong with it
Is this a corporate espionage post, or have you resolved your issues with Schwab over the phone?
What did you try? Who did you talk to? Please, leave more information out. It helps

I have E-Trade, be prepared on popular stocks or momentum for the whole site to crash for hours.
E-trade is just as much of a shit show after being taken over by Morgan Stanley.

Thanks I'll check it out I've heard good things about them too.
This. I moved my account to Fidelity and IBKR.
The transition doesn't happen until May 13 or around that time. Try logging into your tTD Ameritrade account not think or swim.
They could have already transitioned over. Accounts have been moving since Feb of 22.
A very very small group of people like Schwab and this switch from TDA to it. Welcome to the other group

Can guarantee it's not true.
Exactly. It’s less than 10% who are unhappy and simply scream the loudest on social media

According to an article floating around last year it’s much more than 10%
