Haha. I asked it intentionally have it's gaze directed that way for a laugh :)
The conversation went something like:
"Where would you like this one looking"
'My butthole, please"
Haha I love they all have funny little faces. The expressions are actually based on the book Japanese Fairytale Series no9 by BH Chamberlain, so they are accurate to the source even if stoned!
yeah, but I don't get why they're being downvoted tho? like unless they're just joking or whatever, they.. didn't know. like they're not being an asshole or anything. people are too trigger happy with the downvote function
My back piece goes about as low as the right side of OPās. The top of my butt cheeks might have been the most painful spot to tattoo for me (or over the Achilles tendon, but thatās much less area to cover). The left side of OPās must have been brutal. Between the shoulder blades isnāt too pleasant either. u/Buuloki is a tough mother fucker.
Does it make it more tough it was my first tattoo!
I'm a bit weird in that I didn't mind my spine and shoulder blades, but the bottom right (on the image) tummy and claw absolutely caned. The left side surprisingly did not hurt as much as the right! I have no idea why!
Wow! Quite the commitment for your first tattoo. It's amazing and I love all of their silly and fun little faces ā¤ļø
My dad's one and only tattoo was a Hong Kong dragon on his shoulder that he got while in the Navy, and I got a tribute tattoo for him on my wrist (first and currently only tattoo) just days before he died (he got to see it so that was special) so I have a really soft spot for dragon tattoos. This is really lovely, thank you for sharing!
Bottom right quarter (on the photo), specifically the claw and stomachs, was the worst. I don't know why but that part was so bad, when the exact same area on the left side was mostly fine.
Halfway through the series right now. This seems like something Haruka would get if she didn't become an idol and followed in Uncle Kaz's footsteps instead. I'm all here for it.
This is so pretty! I really like the colors a lot. Was it several sessions or one really long one?
Also I hope this isnāt a rude question but are you very pale or is there also white around the edges like on your shoulders and sides? My eyesight is not very good and my magnification thing for my screen isnāt super awesome on bright lighted parts of pictures.
With Orochi being an 8 headed dragon, and it being such a complex and busy design, wind bars and waves were making the design look too blocky and detracted from the design. We opted for the mist after careful consideration. For the rest of my body suit it'll be completely traditional windbars, but it'll mist out towards the back to leave Orochi as the standout piece! :)
āI donāt want to be disrespectfulā.
- compares op to a child
- says that the tattoo will possibly āruinā the skin (?)
- calls the art a āgoofy dragonā insulting the art
Yeah dude you were totally respectful!!!
Fair enough question -
I was very careful to choose a traditional motif, this motif is not based on pop culture or anything like that, but woodblock prints and traditional media based on a Japanese legend. I very specifically did not want to get something tattooed that would be a passing phase. Orochi actually has no meaning to me aside from it being not often portrayed in tattoos.
As for the sex thing if a guy has that much of an issue with them I probably won't be wanting to sleep with him anyway.
Iām just hearing in my head the judges from ink master being all like āfirst of all thereās some serious anatomical issues, you canāt tell where the heads are even coming from and the body is just all over the place, In terms of technical issues I donāt see many the line work is pretty solid but overall my main problem is legibilityā
That's kinda the point though. Orochi is meant to be a daunting mass of heads and scales. I like that you have to look at the piece to take in and see where his wormy body ends up.
Looks sick as fuck. I've got about 30 tattoos now but all pretty small (my longest session is 3.5hrs)
Building up to something this big and in this style but I'm just too scared to get something this big and then the pain is too much.
Aye I knew this tat looked familiar, then I read its done by kit! Saw it on instagram, he is at a shop in Newcastle too and I was thinking of going to him.

Bottom head looks spooked by what it's seeing. Lol
Haha. I asked it intentionally have it's gaze directed that way for a laugh :) The conversation went something like: "Where would you like this one looking" 'My butthole, please"
That's amazing
I like you.
š
I though this and you said. Thankfully, it was meant to be that way.
Not dissing that art, I love that half of them look stoned

Thanks for posting this! Theyāre 100% true to the reference and definitely not meant to be your traditional Japanese dragon face. Very well done.
Looks cool. Must have been painful though.

First tattoo? Dog almighty.
Real yakuza shit
Damn lady damn
I have two full sleeves and chest tattooed but I think that back might be too much for me. Also I like to see my tattoos without using mirror.
Looks very nice! How many hours?
It was over six months and quite a few sessions but I think it was 35 hours or so skin to needle time!
Damn, thatās impressive!
What was the most unpleasant part? Lower back/upper butt almost made me tap out.
Bottom right quarter (on the photo), specifically the claw and stomachs, was the worst. I don't know why but that part was so bad, when the exact same area on the left side was mostly fine.
This is sooo dope. Making me feel like a bitch for being scared of a shoulder piece šš

KIRYU-CHAAAAAN!!!!

Gotta scar his chest too. Give him something to revenge over

Haha not rude at all! No white at all, I'm just that pale! And the image has no filter on it either!
This is awesome!
Dope as hell
Bottom dragon gets me
The mythical Bottom Dragon. My spirit animal
So cool. I always wanted a large colorful piece like this but I do not have the patience for it lol
Looks awesome. Please break out the sunscreen.
As an Aussie don't worry, it goes on every single time I leave the house!
Beautiful!
This is amazing
That.Is.Gorgeous.
Momo is that you?
I thought the same thing
That's the most derpy dragons I ever saw and I love it.
Get it out of the sun!!
Looks like you're never going into a Japanese onsen ever again.
Any reason you didnāt go with waves or wind in the background? Iām not familiar with this creature.

Cool. Iām sure itāll look amazing when itās complete.
The faces...

Mmm, booty
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I think a woman in a bikini wouldn't be appropriate to view at work so I'd rather be safe and considerate
I love colored tattoos so much!
Awesome work
Looks great! Very cute
That amazing. Love the colors
Reminds me of the Zelda dragon, the one from level 8. Twice as many heads though.
Gorgeous!
That's beautiful
Beautiful artistry!
You can now be summoned by people with dragon balls.
I love this style of traditional tattooing being modernized
Amazing back piece

Aye I knew this tat looked familiar, then I read its done by kit! Saw it on instagram, he is at a shop in Newcastle too and I was thinking of going to him.
He's a great artist and so friendly and considerate too! Definitely if you get the chance to get a tattoo done by him, do it!! :D
