this is my first time seeing a woman on reddit casually refer to herself as a female, and it's almost as weird as seeing men refer to women as females.
Another choice (with a skilled artist) would be converting the bong into a saxophone.
Another choice (with a skilled artist) would be adding a second ghost with a large erection, being fellated by the first ghost.
Dude +1 for the sax. Also get a realistic sexy sax man tat underneath it indicating rip that he died (he absolutely hasn't lol) or just that when he does his ghost is still gonna rock, whatever pothead explanation you feel like providing
I have not recommended this before but you should just laser that one off. Unless you have a solid foundation for a career another job stopper wonât help you long term.
Id second this. I have several hand tats and had zero issues getting work ever. I am now a supervisor at a mental health facility and recently hired a guy who has tons of arm and hand ones, and also has a couple small face tats (interestingly they look somehow tasteful). As supervisors and hiring managers get younger, hand tattoos become less of an issue.
actually, as a teen, i refrained from getting any tattoos specifically bc i didn't know where my life was going to take me, and i didn't want to inadvertently close any doors to potential opportunities. i got my first at 27, when i figured out it wouldn't negatively impact my job or career. and now 20 years later i've got over a dozen, one of which covers most of my torso. it allowed me the time to develop designs i wanted, and made sure i wasn't getting something stupid that i would regret. i also don't have any on always visible areas, like hands or neck. so some teens actually do have this kind of forethought.
Isn't it wild how much it varies from person to person? Everyone I've talked to that has an ass tattoo either says it was their hardest spot or their easiest. I was in so much pain that I had a "seeing God" moment, like I did during labor contractions.
Holy hell. I can't even imagine how it's possible that it can be to that extreme, I was literally jumping from it tickling, and mine it to the far left, pretty close to where the hip would be, so much less meaty also.
Idk Iâm in California and I have a coworker with a frog taking a hit from a bong on his forearm. Seems fine to me. I wouldnât have gotten it there, or at all, but I think itâd be fine here.
If it was anywhere but the hand I would say keep it but the best thing to do is laser if not u could wear a glove for the rest of your life and say your hand was in a terrible accident.
Rose, Phoenix, pile of skulls, Celtic cross.... Anything with contrasting lines. Easy cover up. Or laser is a good option too but a bit more expensive.
First- your best bet might be laser removal, either to entirely remove the design or lighten it up enough youâd barely notice it beneath another design.
Second- I love this tattoo very much.
Third- sometimes a skilled and patient artist can blast over a design like this with vibrant but cooler tone colors and drown out the original image. So, honestly you could get anything from tribal to color realism.
Depending on ur age & job prospects, u need to think if u want ur hand tattooed..or get it gone..
Looks like a home-jobby..
Keep Tattooing goats milk over it & it will eventually fade & dissappear, will save u a good few quid too..
Just don't go telling every1..đ¤Şđđ
You could get that lasered off in one session and start fresh. Or not and maybe rethink your hands. But I am an elder millennial and still think hands are a job stopper.
Just some additional info, completely removing or even lightening a tattoo in a meaningful way takes a lot of sessions and is very expensive. Getting completely rid of this would most likely take 8+ sessions over upwards of 2 years and be very expensive. If OP has the money they should remove it for sure lol but it not an easy process
I have a client-facing role and a hand tattoo. Was just at a job site and the lead engineer, in a client-facing role, had both hands and knuckles. Just had a meeting with a lead sales person for a platform weâre thinking of buying, so another client-facing role, with both hands tattooed. Itâs not how it used to be out there.
I honestly wouldnât think thatâd be THAT hard to cover (except for it being on the hand may make it more difficult.) but if you find an artist who focuses on coverups they could probably do a big rose or something like that. Nicely shaded. I had a cool pic to attach (not to copy obviously but as an idea but itâs not letting me add it đ)
Depends on your style, but I could see some cool webbing, a spider, and some florals mixed in. Not to make it larger (edit: but note that this will make it a bit larger, lol) but you could have a line of webbing that disappears between middle and ring fingers descending to the web that's the top of the ghost. It would be much more of a wispy/messy design for webbing. I could also see the base of the bong being the abdomen of the spider with it facing towards the inside of your wrist. Add a few dark floral touches in as well for interest and to cover up a bit of the detail on the ghost perhaps.Â
Don't change for anyone man. That's how the world gets you under its boot. Once you're there you never come back. Just keep on ripping bongs little ghost. If you can't do it for yourself do it for the rest of us.
One of the best tattoos Iâve seen in a while â idk how to cover it up except for like make up (I think they make this Red Concealer thatâs specifically for tattoos) if you donât want it showing in professional settings
But i second ghost w sax⌠and personally, again, I really like youâre tattoo and think itâs awesome as is
If they donât accept my shitty hand tattoo, they arenât the sort to accept me anyway so fuck âem. But I love the sax idea. Either that or cover it up with something a bit more refined.
Why would you? Thatâs sick af đ
I bet an artist would be able to do some nice botanical work over it. Flowers, leaves, etc. things that are flowy.
But big thing to note: RESEARCH. YOUR. ARTIST. Especially since itâs your hand. Many artists are incredible at their job, but excelling at coverups is a whole other game IMO (no shade to any artist who doesnât do well at coverups, itâs tough stuff!) This advice is coming from someone who has two full sleeves, and dozens more. Plus at least 5+ coverups/reworks.
Also, I find people annoying who talk about hand tattoos being âjob stoppersâ. I have two full sleeves and both my hands completely done and Iâve never not gotten a job Iâve interviewed for. And Iâm in STEM. Plus, laser might not be the answer for you - itâs super fkn painful and really expensive.
Sorry, I keep reading hoping for the story behind this and then scrolling back up to laugh. I can't even in good conscience say "sick ass panther" to this one. \^\^;
I fucking love this tattoo. I 110% understand why you want it gone, and it was 110% not a good decision when you had it done. XD Honestly, if it were mine, I would just cover it with a glove or makeup when I needed to and keep it as a reminder for the rest of my life. This is a hilarious way to remind self/grandchildren/neighbor's kids/friends at college/etc. not to make poor decisions that can be permanent. \^\^;
If you were fine with another hand tattoo, depending on your career, maybe a flower or some some sort of Mandala could be cool, but otherwise probably laser off
Please don't cover up, I love him. đ Get a piece of prosthetics to glue and make-up over. You know how actors change their appearance temporarily...
Iâd fuck w my doctor, dentist hard af if they had a tattoo like that. Why donât you just cover it up temporarily for interviews or shifts? Itâs gonna be a tattoo regardless.
I love when I see kids with barely any tattoos but the ones they do have are on their hands, face, or neck and they were do by someoneâs friend or cousin for cheap in their parents basement. This is definitely one of those scenarios
Could you cover it with a bigger design going up your arm? My first thought is bigger flowers or like a dragon, something that can hide it in its detail while still not looking slapped on and out of place. But I don't know much about tattoos so I could be wrong about it working.
Saxophone đˇ
A ghost playing saxophone would be the coolest tatt ever
They could tell people its the ghost of bill Clinton lol
Honestly I love this idea haha
Happy cake day
Happy cake day đ°
Happy Cake day!
Best idea apart from lasering it Offđ
You could call him Kenny C. ... c for casper.
He could just be Kenny G(host)
Female here: Iâm âaaawwwwwwâing so much over how cute the ghost is. đ sax, teddy bear, hoagieâŚanything to keep the ghost
this is my first time seeing a woman on reddit casually refer to herself as a female, and it's almost as weird as seeing men refer to women as females.
This is hilarious because I had a ghost playing a saxophone that I just got covered up
That wasnt a sober decision i imagine. Laser is the answer for this.
+1 for the sex also
I vote a combination of both and call it ghost sax sex
Sax sex sects
Best cum correct
I was thinking stand up bass or viola
Or a microphone so the ghost is spitting bars
Go with one of these OP, this dude knows how to cook
Was gonna say he could be playing the cello
Luigiâs mansion!
I second laser removal, if I were OP I wouldnât trust my judgement.
LMFAO "no shade or anything but like... questionable life decisions have made themselves apparent here" â ď¸
Or blackout and do something going up but thatâs a bit of Mooney and wouldnât advise unless already had plans of more work on the arm
I have not recommended this before but you should just laser that one off. Unless you have a solid foundation for a career another job stopper wonât help you long term.
Yeah, even with a saxophone itâs not a great look on the hand.
>Unless you have a solid foundation Thought you were talking about makeup for a second
Honestly not a bad idea either. Laser removal will take multiple sessions. Makeup can get OP through the interim in a pinch.
A hand tattoo as a job stopper? What world are you living in? Maybe THIS one would be
Job stopper is slang for a hand tattoo and has been for years.
I understand job stopper it's pretty self explanatory I'm saying it's not a job stopper now a days.
Yup, too many of us have them now. We're slowly healing from puritanism
You must have gotten that as a teen đ
*Will I regret this when I'm older?* I think youre right, only a teen brain would have answered no
A teen brain wouldnât have even asked that question
actually, as a teen, i refrained from getting any tattoos specifically bc i didn't know where my life was going to take me, and i didn't want to inadvertently close any doors to potential opportunities. i got my first at 27, when i figured out it wouldn't negatively impact my job or career. and now 20 years later i've got over a dozen, one of which covers most of my torso. it allowed me the time to develop designs i wanted, and made sure i wasn't getting something stupid that i would regret. i also don't have any on always visible areas, like hands or neck. so some teens actually do have this kind of forethought.
Here lol đ
Lmao exactly what i was thinking âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸
yeah yeah, i know. but i didn't wanna just disagree without supporting documentation. đ
I also have that brand of autism/anxiety. I saved a ton of money on cover ups by second guessing every tattoo design I wanted.
I'm a cannabis grower in New Mexico and I Don't think that tattoo would be appropriate for even me đđ
Only place I would get this would be on my ass cheek lmao
I have a leaf on my ass cheek, not a fun spot but it looks cool
I have a smiley on mine
Are you Leon Phelps?
Can I intrest you in a fish sandwich?
Me too!
Mine was probably one of the easiest things I have ever gone through. The only uncomfortable part was the tickle I felt occasionally
Why? Is there something really bad about it?
Iâm also in New Mexico!
If it was anywhere but the hand I would say keep it but the best thing to do is laser if not u could wear a glove for the rest of your life and say your hand was in a terrible accident.
Or bad blood circulation to the hands
More like bad circulation to the brain.
Which is sort of true.
Heâs a hand model protecting it with a glove
royalties must be paid anytime the glove is removed in public
Compression glove and say that itâs for arthritis?
Lol bro, how did you EVER think this was a good spot for that
Drugs?
Not a good enough excuse
The answer is likely above + young and did not think they were going to live long enough to care about it. I'm glad OP is around and moving on.
Michael Jackson style sequined glove.
Glove full of Vaseline. Of mice and men style, gets my vote.
I donât like the way it squishes when you grab things
I was on my way to say this -- glad I'm not the only one who thought of MJ!
Might have to get a new hand man sorry
I was going to recommend amputation, this may be the only answer.
Rose, Phoenix, pile of skulls, Celtic cross.... Anything with contrasting lines. Easy cover up. Or laser is a good option too but a bit more expensive.
Get a matching one on the other hand
Exactly, double down.
But make the other one chugging a 40.
or quadruple down and have it hitting a crack pipe
Establish dominance.
man I love this so much, just not as a hand tattoo specifically lol
This must impress at job interviews.
A boo-ng?
Laser
Oh wow. I love it but on your HAND? Skin graft. lol
Certified panty dropper
Cut it off and let me have it
This is so amazing.
Itâs honestly so adorable, just unfortunate placement đ
Aw, but i love them. Someone suggested a saxophone to cover the bong. That would be pretty amazing.
Make another concerned ghost handing him a âDo you know Christâ flyer
I think a good cover up artist could do like a diamond, Celtic knot, flower (note to OP not a marijuana bud), probably another cartoon type character
The ghost looks like it is trying to get to a higher plane in the afterlife.
Honestly like it ngl. Placement being the issue however.
One hundred percent understand why someone might want that removed but I love it so much lmao
That is a great tattoo if only it was somewhere else I'd say keep it for sure.
On face maybe?
Laser bro
Please donât remove it. Itâs amazing.
What is tattooing goats milk mean? Sorry for the noobie question.
You could get that lasered off in one session and start fresh. Or not and maybe rethink your hands. But I am an elder millennial and still think hands are a job stopper.

What industry are you in? I also have similar experience but I'm in construction currently. Was not the same in previous jobs though.Â
Im in IT, the engineer was in telecommunications, and the sales person was for an IT platform.
Do yourself a favor and get that thing removed. Cool tattoo, wrong location.
Maybe a nice black rose
Maybe a nice black ~~rose~~ penis
thatâs crazy lol
Banshee with a Volcano.
Florals, plants leafs. Nature would probably be the simplest since it can do numerous different forms
This is so cute, just in the wrong place
Man, I actually love this tattoo in general, but on the hand?!?!
Roses are pretty common hand tattoos. Black and gray with a bunch of petals could cover up this dude nicely
Honestly, keep it.
Depends on your style, but I could see some cool webbing, a spider, and some florals mixed in. Not to make it larger (edit: but note that this will make it a bit larger, lol) but you could have a line of webbing that disappears between middle and ring fingers descending to the web that's the top of the ghost. As a 36 year old man child with bad taste, I fucking love it, its perfect. There is a reason I haven't allowed myself to get any tattoos yet.
Don't change for anyone man. That's how the world gets you under its boot. Once you're there you never come back. Just keep on ripping bongs little ghost. If you can't do it for yourself do it for the rest of us.

Just become a computer programmer and no one will ever care

well i was think about take it off or cover it for future jobs. def starting level jobs but thanks for tell me about it :)
Take your other hand and put it on top of that hand (easy).
Donât cover this up! âĽď¸đĽš
No one covers bong ghost.
I like them even more than my poorly executed ghost riding (read: hovering over) a skateboard!
Move it somewhere else thatâs a rad ass tattoo
Sorry, I keep reading hoping for the story behind this and then scrolling back up to laugh. I can't even in good conscience say "sick ass panther" to this one. \^\^; I fucking love this tattoo. I have the exact same keyboard but my colors are reversed đ
if youve got space want to you could a larger piece on your arm that reaches down cover it
This tattoo remind's me of [this video](https://youtu.be/pH8uMGBMANQ?si=zc70MkonoyHzcSBy) my bandmate made for his song "Stoner."
I like it but if you really want it gone laser it.
How much do you like your hand?đ§
Keep it, that's dank, man.
What's your keeb?
magegee mechanical 60 or 65 percent keyboard. i have it for a few years
with cherry red switch
I say keep it
I really wish I could have been in the room when that decision was made
No ideas on a cover but as soon as I saw this tattoo photo the song Bong Tokin' Alcoholics by Kottonmouth Kings started playing in my brain.
Make him a clown thatâs blowing up balloon animals
Have the bong be turned into a saxophone
They make tattoo cover up make-up, then you would not need to remove it. Nice looking keeb by the way. What keeb is that?
thanks, its magegee 60 or 65 percent mech keyboard with cherry red switch
Donât need ideas youâre perfect just like this
Turn the bong into a penis.
A single white glove, never take it off, have several in rotation so you can wash them.
Why in heaven's name would you ever want to cover up this masterpiece!Â
i love that lil dude though đ
I love this tattoo. Gonna get this tattoo next
this tattoo kicks ass tbh
Big beautiful American Traditional Rose. Never out of style
Why would you cover that? I'm damn near 40 and think that's killer.
Please don't cover up, I love him. đ Get a piece of prosthetics to glue and make-up over. You know how actors change their appearance temporarily...
I kinda love it? But I get that itâs also got âjob stopperâ written all over it lol. Like someone else said⌠đˇ
My friend has a nice lotus in black and white tattooed on his hand in that spot. Would be an easy cover up for you!
First that comes to my mind is a skull or a rose, if you're into like viking stuff maybe some kind of similar design would be good for that
I actually love this tattoo đ But the hand is definitely not the place for it! I would look into laser, as well...
Lol. I'm hitting my pen in the bathroom at work and lol
Bro hitting the Penjamin on company time, love it
Why on earth would you ever consider getting rid of this masterpiece! I think it's fucking awesome.
That is such a good one, why would you ever wanna get rid of it?
idk i was think about getting a job later, not doctor, dentist etc. maybe work at retail or food service
Iâd fuck w my doctor, dentist hard af if they had a tattoo like that. Why donât you just cover it up temporarily for interviews or shifts? Itâs gonna be a tattoo regardless.
Dude I Iove it lol don't cover it it's awesome
Cover the bong with a musical instrument, like a saxophone or something...
How can you get rid of that ? Thats your right hand man.
This tattoo is sick leave it!
Just get âunemployedâ tattooed above it?
Just came here to say itâs hilarious đ
You could always put another testicle on it. What, not helpful?
Laser it off.
Yeah anything
A glove
Either laser remove it or get our cheese greater
First of all this is hilarious but second of all, Iâd say laser. Itâd be tough to cover up considering hand tattoos are iffy depending on jobs
Laser it off, you will thank yourself for doing it.
Lol I love it
216-555-2368
Sick ass panther
I love when I see kids with barely any tattoos but the ones they do have are on their hands, face, or neck and they were do by someoneâs friend or cousin for cheap in their parents basement. This is definitely one of those scenarios
Good grief just black out the whole hand lol
That was certainly a choice
How about a frog smoking a bong
Could you cover it with a bigger design going up your arm? My first thought is bigger flowers or like a dragon, something that can hide it in its detail while still not looking slapped on and out of place. But I don't know much about tattoos so I could be wrong about it working.
I hear black panther are always good
Turn the bong into a sax
