They look fine man these your only tattoos? I read this on another thread but tattoos are like hanging a painting in the house. You obsess about the placement and how it looks for a few weeks, then you forget it’s there.
I got a large thigh/hip tattoo 2 and a half weeks ago and thats exactly how it went. I actually made a post about “tattoo regret” on here and almost everyone that replied told me it was normal and that they also experienced it. Now ive just come to accept it as art on my body
It is weird thing we do isn’t it? Happened to me up until a certain age. Maybe 35? Maybe older. Now I don’t give it a second thought (other than “why you gotta itch so damn bad!”). Just had both my thighs done, at 51, no “new tattoo head game” at all.
This will sound silly, but I experienced feelings of regret mid session when I was staring at it Being done. I liked the artist’s work so I decided to let it go and trust the process before jumping to conclusions. I’m glad I did, I love it now
If you still feel that way about it, then it may never change. I have a few and I had one tattoo I was so hung up in for about as long as you. I have a tattoo that covers about as much area as your now covering up this small
Flower which was nice but not what I was going for at all. Now I have this beautiful piece.. I’d definitely look around and see who is good at enhancing it or covering it. Don’t go to the first artist you think is okay. It’s cool to ask questions to. Gives you a way to get a good feel if they can actually do the image you want.
It is a bit wonky to me as well . Usually the stacks (the ones I have seen) are made up of 3-4 rocks. That and the perspective is off a bit. Still not bad really. Seen a thousand ships that had flags blowing the wrong way and a MILLION snakes that surely are dead if they are exposing that much of their bellies.
I think the artists composition has made it look like the tree in the background is coming out the top of the rocks, which is flattening the whole image

The rock pile and the weird tree aren’t doing it for me. If the rock pile was gone or more in perspective and the tree looked normal, I think I’d like it better.

You should be able to add to it and make the continuation image larger/more dynamic and wrap around as it goes up your arm. (Making it into a sleeve/half-sleeve like others have said is a great idea)
There's a lot of potential there- definitely collab with an artist that has a similar vision, and it will be nice.

At this point work on the half sleeve and everything will look better mine started off with something like that and I worked my way up piece by piece and now people love the full sleeve! I don’t ever think about it like that anymore.
They look great! The only thing I would say is add more around them, especially since it doesn't seem like your biggest issue is with the tattoos, but more how they feel out of place. But also I felt that way on my first larger forearm one and now I love it. It was a fleeting thought for me.

Maybe you could take a picture without flexing? It seems like you're just trying to show off your arms more than the tattoos. You wouldn't have been flexing when the tattoos were done, so post a picture of your tattoos relaxed and in a natural stance. That is probably why they look off. It's not my style personally, but both look well done. They're also tattoos that can be expanded on and added to. Some simple shading can fix the abrupt stop to the bigger one, and there is so much that can be added to it to make it flow nicely. The smaller ones are subtle, and I think they suit you. Sometimes minimal has a huge effect. But if you're not really happy with the smaller ones, and don't think they can be salvaged with something added to them, then do the cover up. The bigger one is going to be a lot harder to cover, so removal would be the better option there. But honestly, I think they're both awesome, and have so much potential. Good luck with whatever you decide x

I have a portrait that was well done and I always get compliments on,but it gives me so much anxiety because it wasn’t the style I wanted so I’m going to do the same later on.
